Race 1: NW30000 in last 5 starts Trot

(1) STREET GOSSIP has a solid 3-year-old season out in the Midwest and he's been holding his own at the higher-conditioned levels; Virgil Morgan Jr. trainee figures to fit well with this type. (2) MOSTINTERESTINGMAN could probably use a drop in class but he is a reliable speed type from a good post. (7) HEY LIVVY returns locally from Canada, where she has really tailed off of late; outside post and missed time are big negatives, but she's got plenty of class.

Race 2: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) ORILLIA JOE finds a pretty soft field of NW5000 types and this classy veteran can take these the distance. (1) DING DING DINGER hasn't done much since being claimed for $25,000 but he does face easier from a much-improved post. (6) DAVIDS COMING HOME is another who hasn't done much recently, but was facing much better foes.

Race 3: $15,000 Claiming Pace

(2) TEXAS TERROR N came up a bit short in the late stages making his 14-year-old debut but he drops a notch in price and will be controlling the action again from this spot. (8) MACH TIME N moved to the Dilloian barn for his last start and jogged in a complete form reversal. He merits respect, even from this poor post. (1) DERECHO also drops a notch and should make his presence felt at some point.

Race 4: $20,000 Claiming Pace

(1) APEX SEELSTER put in a good effort in his 2021 finale then went evenly last start. Barn has been pretty good lately and starting from the inside should make him a live player. (2) KIMANI N is back in for a tag and seems eligible for improvement. (4) CARRACCI HANOVER totally turned things around in his last start and could build off that effort as he bumps back up in class.

Race 5: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(3) OUR MAX PHACTOR N put in a willing two-move effort from the eight hole last start and chased Walter Mitty home after that one got away. He's got back class and could turn the tables with a better trip. (1) WALTER MITTY brushed and crushed in his seasonal debut; can obviously repeat. (5) SOMEBEACH BARON is another who has generally been facing better with limited success; veteran was having a solid year prior to these connections dipping in for $35K.

Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot

(7) CHAMPAGNE ON ICE added the hobbles for last week's qualifier and I guess it helped as the Jenn Bongiorno trainee looked sharp winning in 1:55 4/5. Brennan gets the catch drive and could be worth a play at a good price. (1) STICK WITH ME KID is two-for-two since the move to the Alexander barn. (3) AB'SATTITUDEEXPRESS should be better than last week's tiring effort.

Race 7: $20,000 Claiming Pace

(2) RISKY MILLION has generally been reliable at this claiming level and he was a decent third when last seen locally; inside post is obviously a big plus. (5) TASTE OF HISTORY was off a month before his last start but he blew away a field of bottom-level claimers; he double-bumps and the sharp sort can contend here. (3) MCARDLES LIGHTNING has been off for an extended period of time but he showed good improvement over his two recent qualifiers.

Race 8: Open Trot

(6) WARRIOR ONE has been a solid presence in most of his local starts over the last six months or so and he has the proven gate speed to clear the front from this outside post. (3) HAYEK obviously needs to mind his manners but he's got a big move in him; player. (1) LEAN HANOVER made an uncharacteristic break last start at Freehold; if you ignore that then the Toscano trainee has a legit chance to trip out from the rail.

Race 9: 3-5YO $30,000 Claiming Pace

(3) KEYSTONE DASH was much-improved off the barn change to Dowse and Bartlett can take this field a long way on the front end. (5) ROCKIN JUKEBOX had three solid local efforts in December for the Pete Tritton barn. (1) KEYSTONE NOLAN has won two of three, both at healthy prices.

Race 10: NW20000 in last 5 starts Trot

(2) FULL RIGHTS had been racing well towards the end of last year for Schnittker then was stuck outside against better in his 2022 debut. Drop in class and good post should make this trotter a player. (4) HILL OF A HORSE seems to be aided by the recent addition of Lasix and he's back up in class again, but is proven with this type. (6) GREY was a recent winner with Dube in the bike.

Race 11: $12,500 Claiming Pace

(3) BUGGER BRUISER is always a live player at this $12,500 claiming level and Stratton should have little trouble making the front. (8) FASHIONONTHEBEACH never got involved the last time he was in the eight hole but he does have speed from live connections and he figures to be in the hunt this time around. (4) LOTTERY WINNER has scary-bad recent lines but it's hard to ignore these connections.
