MEET STATS: 33 - 109 / $153.00 (-$65.00) BEST BETS: 6 - 11 / $20.70 (-$1.30) Best Bet: RECORD YEAR (3rd) Spot Play: MACHEASY A (8th) Race 1: $12,500 Claiming Pace (2) ZOEEZ BOY HENRY has not actually won in the longest time but he's been knocking on the door of late and could get it done with the major post edge on his main rivals. (8) BLAYDE HANOVER is probably best here but is stuck all the way outside and two back he got roughed up from a similar spot. (6) HIGHVIEW CONALL N tired from the pocket chasing Control Tower last week but just missed the start prior; early speed can play to his advantage. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace This is a pretty solid field for NW5000. (6) FIZZING N just missed from the pocket last week to the odds-on favorite in a mile timed in 1:53 4/5; Vallee trainee should be forwardly placed again and gets top billing. (4) IN SPADES was favored last out versus better and weakened late; he looms a threat again. (2) MILLIONDOLLAR WAVE had no chance in his debut for new connections off the claim but he did pass a few; veteran gets post relief tonight. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: $12,500/$15,000 Claiming Handicap Pace (5) RECORD YEAR moves to the Garcia-Herrera barn via claim and goes for three straight overall; he's entered for the higher tag in this handicap race but does end up with a reasonable midpack draw. (1) GOLD RUSH makes his 2021 debut for Stafford coming off a lengthy break but this barn has been live and he's in a good inside spot if ready. (6) P H KENNY disappointed last out when claimed; he goes for DiDomenico now and picks up Brennan. Race 4: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) SPORTS BETTOR was used hard in the early stages last out and wilted pretty badly but his prior start was encouraging and this veteran does fit well at this lower level. (6) MCERLEAN flashed solid speed in that "no contest" affair and this oldtimer with just under a million banked lifetime still seems to have some life left in those legs. (7) BABES DIG ME rallied well to be second best last week and was also good in the "race that didn't exist"; post obviously presents a problem. Race 5: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (6) TOPVILLE OLYMPIAN has been racing well over at The Meadowlands and he does have a couple of local wins over the last two seasons; barn did had a live one here on Monday night. (5) BUDDY HILL has also been going well out of town and should fit nicely here. (2) PICARD A invades from Ohio for Virgil Morgan Jr but he did tire badly in his seasonal debut; perhaps the change in venue helps his cause. He gets Stratton in the bike with Bartlett opting for the top one. Race 6: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (7) ROCK N TONY showed major improvement upon switching to the Cory Stratton barn, missing a nose from the pocket. Obviously the post presents some problems but the price should be decent if you want to take a swing. (4) SOHO LEVIATHAN A never made the gate last week but Marohn does stick with him; if you toss out that race this gelding does seem to fit well here. (3) LOCKTON LUCK A was very disappointing at 3/5 last start; obviously he will be a much better price tonight. Race 7: Open Trot (2) STORMY KROMER seemed a bit hard to steer last week and got hung the mile as the odds-on favorite; he gets a rare inside post in this open draw and more importantly he's reunited with his favorite driver Dan Dube. (5) LEAN HANOVER failed to get involved last out but the Toscano trainee was super in prior starts. (3) JACK VERNON returned locally and jogged versus lesser; he hikes up to the top level tonight and may find the water a bit too deep; consider underneath. Race 8: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (5) MACHEASY A was ready to go on last weeks dropdown and destroyed the field; Harmon trainee seems sharp enough to repeat. (2) YANKEE ROLLER A was a safe winner last start in that abbreviated field and he too bumps up a notch and looks like a major player again. (7) AIR FORCE HANOVER is fresh Shane Tritton stock arriving from Ohio and he qualified nicely; I guess we should be watching the wagering activity for signs of life. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 9: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot (5) KINDA LUCKY LINDY didn't get involved last week as Swansea cruised on the front end at 1/5 odds but he offered a nice winning rally the start prior and he seems capable here with a good setup. (4) FASHION CREDITOR hit the board in his last two facing better and the classy veteran gets a key drop in class tonight; seems like the one to beat. (2) WINDSONG PIONEER bumps up in class again looking for three straight. (7) NEW HEAVEN is sharp but faces an uphill climb; consider underneath at a price. Race 10: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (3) LISBURN had some belated pace last week at a big price and in his prior two starts he was stuck uncovered versus tougher; he drops a notch in class and seems to have as good a chance as any. (4) PEPPER GUY has been racing well enough to win of late and is definitely overdue. (2) MACINTOSH N also drops to a more comfortable level and will probably be the one to catch.
