Race 1: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot

(2) CHAMPAGNE ON ICE was a little leg-weary in the late stages last week but she made it to the wire in time. Jenn Bongiorno trainee lands in a similar spot tonight and in theory should be tighter coming back in one week. (5) P L KETCHUP makes his first start since September and is now campaigned by Sheena Cohen (instead of Jeff Gregory). His best weapon has always been solid early speed which could set him up here with a nice stalking trip behind the top one. (3) BIZET steps up off a win and Bartlett drives again.

Race 2: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) TIGER BARON hasn't been at his sharpest of late but he lands in a good spot tonight and maybe he can show more with Brennan picking up the drive. (5) J B MAUNEY N drops in class again off a much-improved effort; he's dangerous here. (4) ORILLIA JOE still has what it takes to get the job done but he'll have to work harder tonight in order to repeat; use underneath.

Race 3: $15,000 Claiming Pace

(2) R MADDY BLUE CHIP leaves the amateur ranks and gets a barn change to Dowse while facing a field with some question marks; worth a look. (3) TEXAS TERROR N has been on quite a run recently but the 14-year-old was actually claimed last week so who knows how he'll respond for his new connections; I'll let him beat me. (1) NEXT BIG THING was 108/1 last week and never got involved but he moves all the way inside and these connections upset last week with a another shipper making his way from Florida.

Race 4: 3-5YO $30,000 Claiming Pace

(4) BARRYWHITE HANOVER was aggressively handled last week at a big price but came up a little short from the pocket; maybe his early speed can set him up nicely again in this wide-open event. (2) BOLT OF LUCK figures to be more involved this week making his second start off a layoff. (6) KEYSTONE NOLAN debuts for new connections off a claim and driver Marcus Miller has been very live recently.

Race 5: $20,000 Claiming Pace

(4) TIME OUT I'M TIRED was reclaimed by Bako last week and he looked very good in this barn in two starts last December. (1) WINDSONG JACK was off over five weeks prior to that last effort at Freehold so he should be tighter shipping back in to Yonkers. Classy veteran is inching towards the million dollar mark and should be in line for a live trip. (3) MACH TIME N woke up big-time after the barn chance to Dilloian and now he goes for another new barn off the claim and steps up a notch. He's another with some class to him.

Race 6: NW20150 in last 5 starts Trot

(5) STREET GOSSIP did well from the eight hole last week upon arrival from Ohio and was off a month prior to that start; Bartlett drives again from an improved post and he figures to be very live here. (1) ON HIGHER GROUND also gets major post relief after an eight-hole trip; contender. (8) MOSTINTERESTINGMAN drops in class and is usually a terror at this level but he gets stuck outside; he does have early speed which should be on display because he won't be winning coming from last.

Race 7: 3-5YO $30,000 Claiming Pace

(3) ROCKIN JUKEBOX was a solid winner last week in his local return and was plucked out of that race by the Bako barn; he'll be a short price looking to repeat. (4) MOONLIGHT SHADOW went a tough trip hung the mile in the race the top choice won; he seems to be a good fit with these and Simon Allard, who is listed to drive, gets along well with him. (1) BOURBANS COURAGE moves to the Fusco barn upon arrival and draws best; he doesn't have a stellar win record but should be able to land a share.

Race 8: 12,500 Claiming Pace

(5) LOTTERY WINNER looked much better last week after a series of dreadful races; Kakaley sticks with the Bako trainee. (6) BUGGER BRUISER is always rock-solid at this basement claiming level but note the younger Stratton brother drives tonight; helps the price. (8) ROUGH ODDS returns from a layoff dropping to the bottom for Dowse; see if he's live in the late wagering.

Race 9: NW30550 in last 5 starts Trot

(5) WARRIOR ONE cleared the front from the outside post in last week's Open and the Burke trainee had some trot left at the end of the mile. He should have little trouble controlling the action tonight as the chalk. (2) NEW HEAVEN gets his 2022 season underway off a solid winning qualifier at Freehold; trainer Abbatiello drives and he figures to be saving ground close to the pace. (6) HILL OF A HORSE is up in class for hot connections and figures to be motoring late.

Race 10: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace

(3) TERRITORY had less than nothing to offer in his last couple of starts but he's back in on consecutive weeks and meets a very suspect field. (5) RETOUR AU JEU has been very erratic recently but a top effort is more than enough to beat these. (4) ST LADS NEPTUNE doesn't win often but does seem to fit well here.
