2023 MEET STATS: 39 - 103 / $172.60 (-$33.40) BEST BETS: 8 - 10 / $23.70 (+$3.70) Best Bet: ALEX TYE (7th) Spot Play: LIT DE ROSE (9th) Race 1: $20,000 Claiming Pace (3) JOJO'S PLACE put in a solid speed try last week but could not last to the wire; that was his fourth consecutive runner-up finish and the veteran will look to get over the hump moving to new connections via claim. (2) MARTY MONKHOUSER A just keeps rolling along and the 14-year-old goes for his fourth straight. (6) LETTUCERIPRITA A has been a dominating force recently but he steps up a notch to face a bit better; he merits consideration for the top spot again. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW5021 in last 5 starts Pace (5) ROLLING WITH SAM got hung to dry every step last week but to his credit he hung in there pretty well; Alexander trainee drops for the fifth consecutive start and now finds himself at the basement level without much excuse to fail. (1) CAVIART SARGENT finally lands a good inside post and has more of a chance to show off his abilities; 5YO earned over $125K last year so the talent is there. (4) LYONS PEGASUS has also been stuck outside in his three seasonal starts and had too much to do trying to overcome the tough trips; he'll be closer tonight. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (3) WINDSUN RICKY was a game winner last out and like many from this barn they were better in their second starts coming off the holiday break. He logically bumps up to face better but is certainly capable of repeating. (6) DRAGON SAID has been an enigma of late but he hasn't been in this soft since his Freehold days; Bartlett gets the catch-drive looking to wake up. (1) SARANAC BLUE CHIP didn't offer a late bid last start but just missed two back at this level in a good try. Race 4: F&M NW16151 in last 5 starts Pace (3) BABS JANSEN hasn't won in a while but hits the board with regularity and from this spot she should be within striking distance late. (5) NEWSY N failed to get involved facing better from outside posts in two starts here last month; Cushing import returns locally off a win at Saratoga and should fit well with these. (1) MOMENTARILY was in a bit too tough at The Meadowlands in her first start for the Cullipher barn after arriving from Canada; she lands the rail here and gets Bartlett. Race 5: F&M NW33301 in last 5 starts Pace (3) DRAMA ACT made one move and it was all over in her seasonal debut; Burke trainee faces a bit better but she shouldn't have trouble with these as she tunes up for stakes action. (4) SHECANDANCE N finished third in behind a couple of good ones last week at The Big M and she was flashing good early speed in all recent local starts. If Bartlett gets out in good order she could trip out behind the top choice. (2) TECHY'S ANGEL A draws well and can save ground for a share. Race 6: $15,000 Claiming Pace (2) ODDS ON DELRAY would not budge when sent to the rim last week and failed badly as the odds-on chalk but he drops back to the level of his dominant win two back and deserves top billing against this soft field, despite losing Bartlett to #1. (4) HUDSEN A finished second in his top two facing similar, both of them with Lachance in the bike and not his owner. (1) MINGO JOEL drops in class, moves inside and keeps Bartlett. Otherwise it's hard to get excited about him. Race 7: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) ALEX TYE drops to the basement level and draws better. Classy veteran was a big earner a year ago and should be aggressively handled against these. (3) AMERICAN WAY was claimed again last week after being unable to sustain a second run for new connections. He also gets to drop to the bottom and should show more. (1) BETTOR SUN could not gain into a quick back half last start but wasn't that far off at the finish. Race 8: F&M Open Handicap Pace (5) LIT DE ROSE was aggressively handled last week on the big track but faltered late; prior two local starts Lachance lingered at the back with no chance but finished with pace both times. Classy mare has options here in this abbreviated field. (4) DELITFULCATHERIN N hasn't put in a bad effort in ages and the only concern here is the missed time as she hasn't raced since January 27. (1) DARBY HANOVER had a nice run here over an extended period of time a few months back. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: F&M NW21626 in last 5 starts Pace Is stakes-winning mare (2) RACINE BELL ready to start her campaign off one qualifier? How hard will Bartlett push her? Those questions and more will be answered Friday night. 6-year-old will go over the $1 million mark soon. (5) TRICK OF THE LIGHT put in a solid effort in defeat upon arrival for Noel Daley and she's the likeliest winner if #2 doesn't bring it. (4) UPTOWN HANOVER was dull last week and now loses Bartlett. Stratton gets the assignment and she should land a good piece. Race 10: $25,000 Claiming Pace (1) SULLIVAN had no realistic chance last week but he rallied smartly late and passed a few. DiDomenico trainee faces a bit better here but does get major post relief and the $100K earner from a season ago did beat this type four back. (4) UPTOWN FUNK has been on an insane form spree but he moves to a new barn off the claim; does that derail him? You'll have to take a miniscule price to find out. (3) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN can still bring it from time to time and he has good early speed from a good post.
