2025 MEET STATS: 391 - 1272 / $2,243.82 (-$300.18) – Trending UP! BEST BETS: 65 - 123 / $209.96 (-$36.04) BEST BET: ANTOGNONI S (2nd) SPOT PLAY: FRONT PAGE STORY (11th) Race 1: F&M NW6231 in last 5 starts Pace (5) MISS DOTTIE MAE faces one of the softest fields she's seen in ages and she gets Bartlett back in the bike; she should head to the front and never look back. (1) OVER ICE perked up a little last start at Pocono and is destined for a pocket trip behind the top one. (4) SCHNAPPS was racing pretty well at The Meadows then broke in her first start in the Stratton barn up at Saratoga; she deserves a look. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: MGM Grand Prix Trotting Series Leg #2 (2) ANTOGNONI S just missed to a good one in Sir Pinnochio two weeks ago in round one of this series. Burke trotter sat the pocket in that race but I'd be surprised if co-owner Gingras doesn't have him on the front end tonight. Clearly the one to beat. (7) ARI FERRARI J turned things around last start with a solid (and well-behaved) mile. Post makes things a little trickier here. (3) AMIGO VOLO was no match in round one but could be a little better in his second start back in the States. Hard to ignore his $2.6 million earnings. Race 3: F&M NW15521 in last 5 starts Pace (7) ELEGANT A was a strong winner in 1:52 3/5 the last time she was at this level. Tough post here but she does pick up Bartlett and assuming it's business as usual with the listed trainer change then she figures to be moving forward off the gate. (2) HUNTING HULA is back inside and back at a competitive level for Lachance. (4) STRUTSVILLE won in this class last out and still fits the NW8 condition; filly has obvious talent. Race 4: MGM Grand Prix Trotting Series Leg #2 (2) CECIL HANOVER was a close third in round one and the Engblom trainee has been a model of consistency; move inside makes her the one to beat. (5) SOUTHWIND COORS could not last as he was outbattled after a good try from out of the seven hole; Burke trainee loses Gingras as he owns #2 and did break the last time Bartlett drove, but that was in the International Trot so we'll give him a pass. (4) ASTEROID finished second at a price last out and it's been a long time since he missed the top three. Race 5: F&M NW10591 in last 5 starts Pace (2) BRI EXPRESS N shipped from Ohio last month to join the Engblom barn and had some traffic in her first local try, then got baked up in the front end last week at The Meadowlands. She draws well enough here and will be a big price for a horse who figures to be close up to the action. (5) MY SWEET LILY was bet down to 6/5 out of the eight hole in her debut at this level and she broke leaving; she won her prior two here with ease. (3) EASY TO PLEASE has lots of back class and shouldn't be overlooked. Race 6: NW11601 in last 5 starts Trot (3) DW'S POINT MAN is long overdue for a win and this feels like the softest spot the Lachance trainee has had recently. (6) GO HAVE FUN has really awakened in her last couple which coincided with the class drop; does step up a notch but could be a player at a price. Speaking of prices, (8) JUSTASIAM AS comes off a nice win upon arrival and is as good as anyone in here, but the outside post may be a killer. Race 7: F&M NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) ACUSHLA MACRHEE N hasn't been a major factor in her last two after stepping up to this level but she does pick up the leading driver which could mean a more aggressive attempt is coming. (2) ODDS ON PLATINUM is very logical moving inside after having the outermost post in her last two. She's not that far removed from a win in the Invite. (3) BONITAS BEST BET was just ok last out in her local debut; Burke mare has Yannick again. Race 8: NW150001 in last 5 starts Trot (7) OLIVER THE GREAT takes a needed drop in class and gets a new driver tonight in Stratton. If he were inside he would probably be the favorite. (3) MON AMOUR also drops a notch and two back was a good second from a similar spot. (4) FADEAWAY HANOVER is obviously a talented 3YO and likely needed his last start when he debuted for the Engblom barn after arrival from Canada. I'll try to beat him however. Race 9: MGM Grand Prix Trotting Series Leg #2 Does (4) PERICULUM deserve another chance after that break in round one, or does (3) SIR PINOCCHIO put him at a tactical disadvantage by controlling the pace? Ultimately I think #4 is the "better" horse but it sure is an interesting matchup. Cold 4/3 exacta? (2) ULTION FACE S looks best of the rest from this spot. Cold 4/3/2 triple? Dube drives (1) KHAOSAN ROAD for Svanstedt again and moves to the rail. Cold 4/3/2/1 super? [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: NW7500 in last 5 starts Trot (1) I GET IT seemed to figure it out in his last two races, both wire jobs with one at Philly and one here. I'm looking for Brennan to stuff everyone in behind him and go the distance again. (2) SAPPHIRERAINSTAR faltered late at odds-on in debut for the Engblom barn and that leaves her at 2 for 24 on the season. Maybe she's better stalking. (3) ONCE IN A LIFETIME drops a notch and gets much-needed post relief after having the seven and eight holes in his last two local starts. He rallied in both of those efforts and won't have as far to come tonight. Race 11: F&M NW20766 in last 5 starts Pace (6) FRONT PAGE STORY is an 11-time winner in 2025 with over $210K banked and she drops to face softer after finishing second last out. Mare does have early speed and if Lachance can get her in play she'll be dangerous. (3) FEARLESS BETTOR makes her second local start and could potentially be more aggressively handled. (1) MIKI IN LOVE figures to be close to the action and can land a piece. Race 12: NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot (5) PC FREE WHEELING towers over these in terms of earnings this year and though she hasn't fired with her best recently the Stratton trainee drops to a very soft spot and can awaken in a hurry. (4) MAZEPPA N gets a major driver change to Bartlett and is eligible to improve big-time. (2) ROGER RABBIT leaves the amateur ranks and gets Gingras in the bike. He's got early speed and a good draw.
