MEET STATS: 410 - 1221 / $2,193.70 (-$248.30) BEST BETS: 56 - 113 / $174.40 (-$51.60) Best Bet: MILITARY MASTER A (2nd) Spot Play: PERFECTBOY HANOVER (3rd) Race 1: $15,000 Claiming Pace (2) WINDSONG JACK put in a good speed try last week off the Estrada claim but was collared in the late stages and had to settle for second. Classy veteran meets much of the same tonight and Dube figures to try taking these down the road again. (3) MAJESTIC KIWI N returned from Plainridge and failed to fire after being ambitiously placed in a $25K claimer. He's back in on consecutive weeks after having missed a bit of time and he drops to a more appropriate level. (4) IN THE HUDDLE hasn't been bad lately but hasn't been great; his use of early speed usually sets him up with live trips. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: $12,500 Claiming Pace (1) MILITARY MASTER A clearly has some issues with just 16 starts on the season and 14 starts last year but he qualified effectively coming off a lame scratch and if ready to go he'll top these. (3) BUGGER BRUISER drops back down to the level where he's most effective. (4) TASTE OF HISTORY just missed last week for a barn that’s going well; Bartlett gets the drive tonight. Race 3: 3&4YO $30,000 Claiming Pace (3) PERFECTBOY HANOVER paced a nice back half last week for a board spot and the Gillis trainee can build off that effort. (5) SCHWARTZ BROS PAT took money in his last start but got parked the mile and faded. He's back in for a tag and was a decent third at this level two back, which was his first start after shipping from Indiana. (2) IMMA BE can take this field a long way on the front end. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 4: NW30500 in last 5 starts Trot (7) AMIGO VOLO has been unable to build on his stellar 3-year-old season but it's not like he's been a bust either; Nifty Norman trainee gets Bartlett back in the bike and they teamed up for a blowout win a couple of months back in an overnight event at Pocono. (2) MOSTINTERESTINGMAN jogged in his last two races at this level. (1) HAYEK blew up on the lead turning home in his initial try here but followed that up with an impressive win last week. He faces better tonight and loses Bartlett to the top one. Race 5: $20,000 Claiming Pace In a field overloaded with question marks, (2) TOLLY HO double-drops in class after two disappointing races after the Jenn Bongiorno claim. I suppose it may be harder for the softer competition to get past him tonight. (7) KIMANI N has five consecutive third-place finishes after starting from post two five consecutive times. Can he reach from post seven? (1) SEAFARER also drops in class after stopping badly. His prior efforts were decent. Race 6: NW15775 in last 5 starts Pace (2) OOH RAH generally races well from inside posts, like two back when he was right there at 56/1. He's not the worst horse in the world to take a stab with. (5) FULL RIGHTS hasn't won in quite some time but the Schnittker trainee has some good recent efforts. (7) ETHAN T HANOVER is a 3-year-old facing seasoned rivals but he's certainly speedy enough to get it done. Race 7: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (2) AUDI HARE N has never been a winning machine but he's taken two straight on the engine while moving up the class ladder and he has a post edge on most of his rivals. (4) ITSMYCHECK GB also goes for three straight while mirroring the path of the top one; Stratton drives again for his brother. (6) HEAVEN'S GAIT has had an unbelievable run of bad posts and the six hole is no picnic but he can be a serious closing threat. Race 8: $20,000 Claiming Pace (3) CLASS SIX drops in class in his second start for Sodano after being claimed for $25,000 though his initial start for this barn wasn't bad. (1) LETTUCERIPRITA A was never really in doubt last week while cruising around the oval by open lengths. We'll see if he responds similarly tonight with Kakaley catch-driving the veteran. (7) ALLGONOWHOA was reclaimed by the Jenn Bongirono barn and could show some improvement at what will be a juicy price. Race 9: Open Handicap Trot (5) WARRIOR ONE is arguably in career form now with three straight second-place finishes at the top level; Burke trainee gets Kakaley in the bike from a reasonable midpack post and he may be the one to catch. (4) SECRET BRO has upped his game since moving to Team Bongiorno and while he hasn't proven to be a true "Open" horse he can make his presence felt here. (8) THANKFUL NO is obviously a contender on paper but the Smedshammer trainee has been off for almost a month and is stuck all the way outside. Race 10: NW21175 in last 5 starts Trot (4) D P ROCKET hasn't done much recently but she does have a couple of nice wins here since shipping in from The Meadows and the class relief should help her cause. (5) PATRIARCH HANOVER always comes away with money but it's been a while since he won; Bongiorno gets the drive on the Burke trainee as Kakaley sticks with the top choice. (2) NEXTROUNDONME has been knocking on the door for quite some time. Race 11: 3&4YO $30,000 Claiming Pace This class has become pretty popular since being introduced a few months ago. (2) CENTURY GRIZZLY was mowed down by Mr Kelly last week (that rival is stuck in post eight tonight) but he was clearly second best and that's two consecutive good efforts from the Alexander trainee; he can offer some value here as the likely third choice in the wagering. (1) HEART ON MY SLEEVE was a winner last week in a slowish time and Stratton sticks with his brother's horse over the Tritton trainee (4) ROCKIN JUKEBOX, who powered home to nail the tiring pacesetter upon arrival. Race 12: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) FOLLOW YOUR HEART has been saddled with poor posts facing better recently but if he can replicate that winning effort from 10/1 (the first start for these connections) he'll be tough here. (5) BETTING EXCHANGE went to Philly for his last start and almost pulled off the 26/1 wire-to-wire win but ended up second best; Fanning trainee has back class. (1) SPORTSKEEPER hasn't done a whole lot recently but at least he draws the rail.
