2023 MEET STATS: 459 - 1293 / $2,374.10 (-$211.90) BEST BETS: 67 - 122 / $218.90 (-$25.10) BEST BET: DOUGS BABE A (8th) SPOT PLAY: PERFECT VIXEN (11th) Race 1: F&M NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) CENTURY JAMILA has raced well in three starts for Cullipher, including at Yonkers facing similar. Filly has a legit chance with a smooth trip. (3) MILLWOOD BONNIE N is wrapping up a stellar season as the veteran is nearing $160K for the year. Looks ready for action off that qualifier. (1) IDEALINFUN has the rail for the live connections of Engblom and Bartlett. Mare deserves consideration. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW7500 in last 5 starts Trot (3) B NICKING found an easy spot last week at Freehold and took advantage. DiDomenico trainee returns to Yonkers at a lower level than he's accustomed to and can easily double up. (4) NEW HEAVEN hasn't been himself for an extended period of time but he's loaded with back class and hopefully can turn things around. (6) HOOFBEATS DE VIE tries Kakaley tonight and could be a closing threat at an honest price. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot (1) MISSISSIPPI STORM put in a super effort last out when he left wide from the outside post only to settle fifth then got shuffled back to last anyway before sweeping the field for the win. He's a legit Open-type talent when right so this minor bump in class shouldn't be a problem. (5) IMMANUEL K S recently moved to the Engblom barn and rolled past a NW6 field. Bartlett drives again and a similar effort can put him right there. (8) STREET GOSSIP wired a field at Plainridge last week and was facing better when we last saw him at Yonkers. If Siegelman can get out cleanly from the eight hole he could sneak into the number at a big price. Race 4: F&M NW22146 in last 5 starts Pace (5) SWEETEST BELLE recently made her local debut and the filly impressed with a sharp uncovered score. Clearly she likes to win as evidenced by her 9 for 23 career record and she may be ready to tackle a bit tougher. (1) DELITFULCATHERIN N is finally turning things around but I still don't fully trust her at a short price. (7) TONY'S MOM has the speed to overcome the outside draw, especially with Bartlett driving. Race 5: F&M NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) LIGHTNING LEIA hasn't done much recently but she gets both class relief and a much-improved post. Alexander trainee should be competitive in this wide-open event. (4) LADY NEWTON also drops and figures to show a bit more. (6) I LOVE ONGAIT doesn't have the best local record but she too is accustomed to facing better; lone Yonkers win came at the NW15000 level. Race 6: NW7921 in last 5 starts Trot (4) WILLY WALTON was a good second last out against $50K claimers and a couple of months back he was an easy winner at this level. I expect Holland to send this veteran to the front. (2) NO DRAMA PLEASE returns to Yonkers where he always does well and he can be a big player from the good inside post. (3) FULL RIGHTS has good speed off the gate which can set him up in the top flight; Schnittker trainee can hold for a share at a price. Race 7: $30,000 Claiming Pace (1) SULLIVAN drops back to a level he dominated five starts back, draws the rail and picks up Bartlett. Veteran is a serious threat to take these coast to coast. (2) ARRHYTHMIC SURGE has tailed off in his last couple so he too drops in class. Grinding type shouldn't be too far back from this post. (4) MISSILE SEELSTER has some speed, maybe gets a tuck second or third. Race 8: F&M NW34531 in last 5 starts Pace (4) DOUGS BABE A failed to get involved in her last start, putting an end to her winning streak. Mare now moves in a few slots and should be a major player with these. (2) TWIN B SUNKISSED takes an ambitious step up in class but the Burke trainee has been sharp and figures to have a tactical advantage on others in here. (6) UPTOWN HANOVER has hit the board in her last three at this level and will be a decent price. Race 9: NW10000 in last 5 starts Trot (3) KILIMANJARO NL was used hard in his local debut, just his second U.S. start, so perhaps he can be excused for tiring. Another chance. (6) BULLY BOY HILL raced big off the bench but was run over from behind by a classy rival. Bako trainee is logical. (4) CREATIVE VENTURE powered away from tired rivals last start and will have to be even better to repeat here. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: F&M NW10001 in last 5 starts Pace (3) LUCKY ARTIST A had been in a long dry spell but she woke up with a win last week when dropped in for a tag. Classy mare may be able to string a few good efforts together. (4) EASY TO PLEASE has underachieved this season but her latest second-place effort was a step in the right direction. (2) MORNING HAS BROKEN hasn't won in a while but is always capable of grinding these down. Race 11: NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot (5) PERFECT VIXEN had a solid 3YO season, not so much this year. Mare arrives at Yonkers now in the Bako barn for the Melady's Monet connections; interesting. (2) DOUBLE DEALING has done nothing recently but just plod along but he drops and gets a new driver in Lachance; eligible for improvement (3) BANK BOX TREASURE is better than he's been showing recently.
