Yonkers: Analysis for Friday 11/6/26

Matt Rose|Nov 04, 2026
Yonkers Logo 1.5

2026 MEET STATS: 337 - 1059 / $1,846.85 (-$271.15)

BEST BETS: 62 - 111 / $211.92 (-$10.08)

BEST BET: ELEGANT A (6th)

SPOT PLAY: RASPALIA N (8th)

Race 1: F&M NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace

(7) LADYCORONA is an unappealing 8/5 ML from a bad post but this field is especially weak and she picks up Bartlett moving into the Devita barn after a fast qualifier at Batavia. (2) PINE BUSH MAGA is 0 for 24 but does draw well again as she drops from $20K claimers. (4) BIKINI SEELSTER is a 3YO filly making her debut for Pat Lachance after shipping down from Canada a month ago; let's see how she travels.

Race 2: NW11300 in last 5 starts Trot

(4) LOW INSIDE makes his debut for the Burke barn after a reasonably successful career thus far with Dan Daley. 4YO likely has to trot a bit faster to compete here but I think it's very possible. (3) STREET GOSSIP never wins but has plenty of on-the-board finishes over the last few years; veteran just missed two back from a similar spot. (6) SIR MAVERICK recently added hobbles and raced well first time with the new equipment but seems to have regressed a bit since then; Adamczyk trainee moves from $40K claimers to this class and gets a driver switch to Bartlett.

Race 3: NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot

(5) SHIV goes from the penthouse to the basement in one start and while she was a bit outclassed at the Invite level she should fit well here; offers some value with #2 likely to attract much of the attention. (2) KILIMANJAROFACE DK has yet to make an impact since arriving on these shores but the Engblom trainee gets major post relief and a major switch to the leading driver. (8) TREGARON has been the sharpest in here but drawing post eight could end that in a hurry.

Race 4: NW8500 in last 5 starts Trot

(4) HALFADOZEN faces one of the softer fields she's seen in some time and the Dan Dube owned/trained/driven mare has a decent finishing kick; hoping she sits fairly close and only has to be used in the final quarter. (2) SOUTHWIND BANSHEE is lightly raced but has been competitive with the best Monticello has to offer. Aiken trainee (that name is a blast from the past for me) was a winner in her lone Yonkers start. Barn has had some nice horses over the years. (1) BULLY BOY HILL has speed from the rail, needs more finishing.

Race 5: F&M NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(3) MC ANGEL needed a drop to the bottom to wake up and get it done. Now the Lachance trainee moves back up a level and maybe the newfound confidence helps her to repeat. (6) NILA MAREE N has Bartlett driving again as she drops from $50K claimers and I'm pretty confident she'll be moving forward in the early stages. (2) FIGHT NOT FLIGHT has had brutal posts in her last four races as she's bounced around to different barns. Now with Alexander she's got a major chance moving inside.

Race 6: F&M NW11100 in last 5 starts Pace

(1) ELEGANT A ships in off a dominating score at The Meadowlands and she can have her way with these tonight. (4) MOTHER MARY was third in a quick qualifier upon arrival from the Midwest then was bothered and wiped out in her first local race; mare deserves another look. (3) PROMISING MOMENT returns locally after a solid run over the last month in Pennsylvania.

Race 7: F&M NW22000 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) FRONT PAGE STORY gets needed post relief and also drops down a level; this classy mare is capable of winning from anywhere but her chances improve when Lachance can keep her close. Offers a price. (1) HARLEEQUIN A just missed two back when cutting the mile from the pole position; gets Bartlett tonight. (2) LOOKLIKEDIAMONDS A has raced well in all recent starts and she also gets major post improvement. Lauren Tritton has won multiple times with the Australian import.

Race 8: F&M Invitational Pace

(4) RASPALIA N just missed in the Invite three back when drawn well and she has a major post edge on the main talent in here. She's a $200K earner this year with 14 wins (7 of them at YR) and has the speed to step over the inside three at 20/1 on the ML. (6) LOUIES GIRL N took a few weeks off after some stakes engagements, and much like (8) FRANCENT N she gets away from Twin B Joe Fresh. No doubting that the Lachance trained #8 is uber-talented but how much does the tough post assignment hurt her?

Race 9: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot

(1) STORMONT DIVIDE faces a bit softer and I'm banking on a more aggressive push from the rail in the early stages to get this Stratton trainee on the lead. (4) R LADY W has a close win and a narrow loss in her last two and this Toscano mare looks to be settling into life as a solid overnight trotter. (6) UNCLE RAT tries Holland tonight on the class drop and he's got talent when he behaves himself. Alexander trainee is a 13-time winner this year.
