Best Bet: FANATIC (4th)
Spot Play: KEYSTONE DASH (7th)
Race 1: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) ORILLIA JOE is always a candidate to take the field down the road, especially at these lower levels and from an inside post. Also note the barn change here to Cory Stratton. (6) QUALITY BUD also changes barns as he moves to Mike Forte, who was doing good things at the end of last season. (4) MIGHTY MR SHARKEY N returns locally and figures to be a good fit with this type.

Race 2: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) KIMANI N raced just a few days ago on opening night of the 2022 season and maybe he will benefit and improve with the short turnaround. (6) PARMESAN N was in with some good ones last out at Philly and the Deters barn is generally live when they ship in. (4) MOHAWK WARRIOR was overmatched at the $50K claiming level but should go better with these.

Race 3: $15,000 Claiming Pace
(2) MAJESTIC KIWI N was no match for the winning (1) IN THE HUDDLE the last time they met but he has a more recent race which could make him tighter here. The latter will be heading down the road trying to repeat. (5) COACH CAL has been a steady commodity for an extended period of time; Bartlett's back driving.
Race 4: NW30350 in last 5 starts Trot
(2) FANATIC has been overachieving recently with a series of good efforts, all at nice prices. He also raced just six days ago which can give him an edge. (5) SECRET BRO has been holding his own in the Open ranks and the Bongiorno trainee figures to contend here. (3) PATRIARCH HANOVER did go wire-to-wire last time at Philly but he stopped on the lead in his prior two local starts; use caution with this Burke-trained trotter.
Race 5: $20,000 Claiming Pace
(5) SEAFARER didn't fire at all in his last start but was a sharp winner the start prior with Marcus Miller in the bike, and he's back driving tonight. (1) TEXAS TERROR N starts up his 14-year-old campaign and he's been on fire recently beating up on $12,500 claimers. (4) SOUTHWIND ONYX was a disaster in his debut for Stratton, but he qualified back fine.
Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot
(1) REDWHITE N GOO has been on a solid run out of town and overall he took 7 of 13 starts as a 3-year-old; should be a big player from the rail. (2) MAGIC VACATION moves to the Dowse barn and the trotter has solid early speed. (6) HILL OF A HORSE has been facing better and he could benefit from both racing last week and the recent addition of Lasix.
Race 7: 3-5YO $30,000 Claiming Pace
(1) KEYSTONE DASH has been really poor recently but he's another that moves into the Dowse barn and he could improve in a hurry. If ready coming off the missed time he's a serious candidate to take these down the road. (3) CENTURY GRIZZLY is a good fit at this level for the Alexander barn and he goes for two straight. (5) HURRIKANEKINGJAMES has shown some big-time closing kicks over at The Meadowlands in a comparable class and he can be excused for some of his dull local efforts starting from bad posts.
Race 8: Open Trot
(6) AMIGO VOLO paid $2.10 to win the last time we saw him in the Open at Yonkers and he followed that up with two productive efforts at Dover. If he can make the top without too much trouble he should be tough to beat. (4) HAYEK has been almost as sharp as the top one and clearly looks like the main threat. (2) LEAN HANOVER sprung the upset three back then never got involved in his last two; move inside clearly helps his cause.
Race 9: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) PICARD A moves to the sneaky-good Koch barn and stayed fresh with a second qualifier nine days ago; veteran had his moments here last year. (3) SOMEBEACH BARON looks like a bit of an underachiever recently but he was second best at this level three back. (1) ONE OFF DELIGHT A draws best and should land a share.
