MEET STATS: 206 - 623 / $1,067.70 (-$178.30)
BEST BETS: 35 - 60 / $113.30 (-$6.70)
Best Bet: STORMY KROMER (7th)
Spot Play: DARK ENERGY N (10th)
Race 1: $12,500 Claiming Pace
(2) UNDERTAKER did the best he could in his last two starts to pick up checks from tough spots. Move inside tonight will help immensely. (8) GUNPOWDER N seems to have found a home at this bottom claiming level for the Peter Tritton barn and though obviously the eight hole presents problems I'm sure Stratton doesn't want to be sitting last with him. (3) SEELEY MAN has been racing okay recently but can't get over the hump.

Race 2: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot
(5) PAPPY GO GO returns to Yonkers where he has some limited experience with mixed results. Bartlett gets in the bike for the Harris barn looking to build off last week's solid effort at Philly. (3) VAINQUEUR R P NO just missed here versus similar three and four back. (6) LINDSEY’S PRIDE is feeling good again as he moves back up the ladder looking for three straight; Erv Miller trainee should be a late threat.

Race 3: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) ROCK THE NITE drops to the NW5000 class off an aggressive try and the Harris trainee has a 1:52 1/5 win here versus better on the season; he's got some speedy types inside of him here but it worth including if the price is right. (5) LUCIANO N can certainly go wire-to-wire here on memory; must-use. (1) MAJOR CROCKER A was a good second here versus better two back; import returns locally now in the Cito barn and he should be a major player from the rail.
Race 4: $15,000 Claiming Pace
(6) CONTROL TOWER drops in for a tag tonight after finishing second best to a classy rival last week (completing a comically low exacta); DiDomenico trainee should be able to handle these. (5) HEREHECOMESAROCKIN and (1) RECORD YEAR both step up a notch in price coming off wins and one of the two is likely to complete the exacta.
Race 5: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) SHADY CITY has been a consistent force for years at these lower conditioned levels and the Stalbaum trainee can grind forever; definitely worth a look if he's anywhere near his 20/1 morning line. (2) ZACH MAGUIRE N makes his way back down to NW5000 after failing at odds-on versus better. (1) CLASSIC PRO was a solid second from an inside post three back.
Race 6: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(7) ORILLIA JOE almost lasted on the front end last week when dropped back to this level; classy veteran deserves another try despite the tough post. (2) SAPPHIRE CITY was treated rudely in his local return as he got hung to dry; career winner of almost $1.5 million looks like he can still be competitive with these despite his advancing age. (1) PEPPER GUY battled and was bothered facing better last week; he drops and draws best making him an obvious contender.

Race 7: Open Trot
(3) STORMY KROMER cruised on the front end last week as expected and he lands another good post in tonight's open draw, making him the clear one to catch again. (7) MISSION ACCEPTED broke in the first turn here three back but recovered willingly and was most recently overmatched in the TVG Open but managed to pick up a check; Burke-trained trotter is a player here. (1) RICH AND MISERABLE gets post relief and figures to be somewhat closer to the action from this spot.
Race 8: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) CAPOZZO took care of business last week and now keeps Bartlett as he makes his way back up the class ladder. Veteran faces some legit talent here but deserves top billing. (5) BEACH BOOGIE returns locally after some decent efforts in Pennsylvania and he looks like a good fit here; gelding has a good history here (with Allard). (7) PROVEN DESIRE is feeling good again and has loads of back class. Quick mention to (6) RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN N and (8) LYONS KING, who have the ability here, making this an interesting race for sure.
Race 9: NW20000 in last 5 starts Trot
(2) TWO AM never got involved in his local return but the post relief should put the Buter trainee on or near the lead here; worth a try in this competitive event. (3) MOSTINTERESTINGMAN tailed off when reaching the Open ranks but he was a solid pocket-sitting winner versus this type four back. (7) OBRIGADO was a well-rated winner last out when dropped in class but he'll have to work much harder tonight in order to repeat.
Race 10: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) DARK ENERGY N didn't get involved in his last two but the move all the way inside figures to make the Cassar trainee a major player. (2) BALLERAT BOOMERANG upset last week at 17/1 and he seems to have enough back class to be competitive here. (4) GRIFFON HANOVER invades from The Meadowlands for Tirella, and he was an odds-on winner at their lowest level there three back; as usual with this barn, check what's left of the "board" for signs of life.
