2024 MEET STATS: 391 - 1274 / $2,100.10 (-$447.90) BEST BETS: 56 - 112 / $199.80 (-$24.20) BEST BET: WOODMERE HARRIET (2nd) SPOT PLAY: RODEO HILL (6th) Race 1: F&M NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) MACHS LEGACY A was not a major player last week when dropped to this reduced level but I'm inclined to give her another try having a post edge on most of her main rivals. (6) ATREACHEROUS A gave way after being hounded on the front end in her first start for the Engblom barn and now she drops another class; expect another aggressive try. (8) MILLWOOD BONNIE N has a major class edge on most of these but she's been flat recently and now is stuck in post eight. Tough to completely dismiss however. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (3) WOODMERE HARRIET drew off to an easy score last week and the Bongiorno trainees have been especially live of late; Bartlett drives again and the step up in class shouldn't be a problem if she brings a similar effort. (1) CALLMEQUEENBEE A was no match for the top one in her latest race but she did hold second after being overtaken; from the rail she's a speed threat again. (4) MC ANGEL may have picked up some confidence with that recent win at Pocono. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: F&M NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) PEMBROKE SOUTHIE dropped in class, added Lasix last week and stepped up in a big way to score. Another sharp Bongirono trainee I'll follow with Kakaley on the return drive. (5) TWIN B SUNKISSED was favored last out facing better and folded pretty badly after rating the pace; Burke trainee gets Yannick again on the dropdown.(6) TRUE BLUE HANOVER got that long-awaited win last out and looks to repeat with Bartlett tonight, as regular driver Holland isn't here. Race 4: F&M NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) TWO PISTOL ANNIE has battled hard in her last few without a victory to show for it and overall that's four good tries since being claimed by these connections; Tritton trainee has Bartlett again and only needs a smooth trip. (2) VIBRANCE gets to drop a bit and also moves to a much-improved post; Burke trainee is another who is knocking on the door. (1) SWEET GAL graduates to this tougher level after winning in her local debut at 15 cents on the dollar. Filly was a Breeders Crown finalist last month. Race 5: NW7500 in last 5 starts Trot (4) MUSICAL RIDE is the latest Canadian shipper arriving into the Lachance barn and against a questionable field maybe he's worth a look at first asking. (5) SOUTHWIND ARTURO won easily at Pocono two back and raced well there last week; trotter was facing better when last at Yonkers. (1) AQUARIUS FACE S broke when rallying wide in his Yonkers debut, just his second U.S. start. Connections have to be respected. Race 6: NW10801 in last 5 starts Trot (2) RODEO HILL gets major post relief after two consecutive eight holes and he was a good second from a similar spot four back. Bartlett is listed again and figures to be within reach tonight. (1) SWISS HOUSE ON FIRE also gets post relief as well as being able to face softer. Gingras gets the drive and this veteran does have early speed. (3) LEGACY'S JAILBREAK hasn't done much since moving to the Bongiorno barn but she is third-time Lasix and is back in on consecutive weeks after missing some time between her prior two races. Race 7: NW15221 in last 5 starts Trot (6) ALL STAR SWAN has been razor-sharp in her last three and goes for a third consecutive win overall; Engblom trainee faces a field that's been especially camera-shy of late. (1) DIAMANTE TRIO IT gets major class relief after competing in the Grand Prix series; Devita trainee is the one to beat. (2) ROYALTY BEER has come up a bit short in every start for Lachance since arriving from Canada but he'll break through eventually. Race 8: F&M Invitational Handicap Pace (4) TALK CURDY TO ME was a decent fourth last out in a sub-1:50 mile at The Meadowlands and she beat a winners-over field there the start prior; Cullipher trainee was a fast-closing third in her last local race and she lands a good midpack post for her return. (8) GRACE HILL overcame the outside post last week with a solid two-move effort and the classy mare remains the one to beat despite having the toughest post again. (7) COACHELLABOUND N has sharp early speed which always gives her a good chance as she narrows in on $300K earned this season; Gingras gets the drive tonight. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: F&M NW21011 in last 5 starts Pace (1) UPTOWN HANOVER was a winner in her local return and though she steps up a notch to face better she's got the class to handle these. (3) LLOYD'S LOVES hasn't won in a couple of months after winning a bunch in a row but last week was a much better effort and the 17-time winner gets to face softer than she's accustomed to. (7) ULTIMATE SPEED has been odds-on in two of her last three and now she'll be a big price; maybe with a lucky trip she can land in the top three. Race 10: NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot (2) BLACK TIE BASH was stuck in post eight in his first start after shipping in for Lachance but now he drops to the lowest conditioned level and gets major post relief. Trotter seems like logical selecting in the finale. (5) NO DRAMA PLEASE has plenty of back class and also finds a much better spot to work with. (1) FOR A DREAMER has been a minor player over the last couple of months but from the rail he figures to be close up and the Laterza trainee can pick up a piece.
