Yonkers: Analysis for Friday 11/13

Matt Rose|Nov 11, 2020
Yonkers Logo 1.5

MEET STATS: 206 - 623 / $1,067.70 (-$178.30)
BEST BETS: 35 - 60 / $113.30 (-$6.70)
Best Bet:
PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN (4th)
Spot Play: LEAN HANOVER (9th)

Race 1: $12,500 Claiming Pace

(1) AMRCANBOOTSCOOTA A has been on a major form spree and he stays at the winning level going for a new barn off the claim; Dube will be taking this guy down the road. (3) HEEZ ORL BLACK N has quite a local history and he picks up the catch-driving Buter in his local return; veteran should still be competitive at this level. (4) ZOEEZ BOY HENRY hasn't really panned out since the Andrew Harris claim but he does get a better post tonight and Bartlett stays.

Race 2: $15,000 Claiming Pace

(4) TWIN B SPEEDO got major post relief in his second start off the DiDomenico claim, took all the money and did get the job done; gelding can double-up here. (3) MACHING TIME took four in a row impressively at the $12,500 claiming level and finally got taken; he bumps up a notch for his new connections and we'll see if can maintain his form. (7) IN THE HUDDLE has been racing well out of town and he does have some early speed; does Bongiorno take a shot off the gate?

Race 3: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace

(1) LUCIANO N drops back down to the basement conditioned level and moves back inside; he faces some interesting rivals here but may be able to call on some of that back class to take these the distance. (6) VELOCITY KOMODO finished belatedly down at Philly in his debut for the DiDomenico barn and now he gets Brennan in the bike upon arrival; take a long look at him. (4) TOM ME GUN N has been facing better in all recent and he does appear long-overdue.

Race 4: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN had some traffic issues from the pocket last week facing better; Tritton-trained classmaster drops to a new low and will look to take these wire-to-wire. (2) BALLERAT BOOMERANG has a solid local history and he should be a player in his local return. (1) MACH TIME N moves back inside and it’s likely he'll secure the pocket trip behind the top choice.

Race 5: NW5250 in last 5 starts Pace

(7) AMERICAN BOY N was a no-match second-best to a raging pocket-sitter last week when dropped to this level; Cassar trainee has plenty of back class and would be a solid selection here if not for the post. Consider if the price is right. (5) RANGERS SURESHOT had no realistic chance from the eight hole last week; move inside a few slots will help his cause. (2) WILD BILL was much-improved last week and draws well.

Race 6: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) HORSING AROUND raced very well four and five back then was stuck in three consecutive eight holes facing better and predictably never got involved. Gelding picks up Bartlett tonight and should be aggressively handled from this spot. (3) ZACH MAGUIRE N also gets some class relief and he did beat better a couple of months back. (1) ZIGGY SKY didn't fire last week; prior effort was solid.

[DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!]

Race 7: Open Handicap Trot

(3) PAT MATTERS recently added Lasix and it seemed to have lifted her game. She does show an easy recent win here versus lesser, and wasn't far off Manchego and company last out in the Breeders Crown. (7) STORMY KROMER continues to race well despite being in tough spots much of the time; he's one to consider at what should be a healthy price. (2) MISSISSIPPI STORM broke last week but he's reunited with Brennan tonight.

Race 8: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(5) WAR DAN A ships over from The Big M for Team Tritton and gets go-to driver Stratton in the bike; import looks like he'll be a good fit here. (4) WINDSUN RICKY broke at the start last week but recovered nicely to wear down the well-rated leader; recent arrival from Canada may have another level in him. (3) BETTERLATETHNNEVER gets important class and post relief and he promises to be more involved.

Race 9: NW15500 in last 5 starts Trot

(3) LEAN HANOVER got going too late last week as the winner had already scampered away. Toscano trainee moves back inside a few spots and could be freshest late to collar (1) OBRIGADO. The latter was pressed hard in last week's Open and wilted in the stretch drive. He gets needed class relief and will be trouble if left alone. (2) NEW HEAVEN has looked better in his last few.

Race 10: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) BLACK CHEVRON N returned from Ohio and joined the Shane Tritton barn but faltered on the front end in his initial start; I'll give him another chance. (1) CAPOZZO is generally a solid player versus better then these so he has to be given much respect here. (3) SANTAFE’S COACH took some money but never got involved last week in a race with no movement; move back inside obviously helps the Lachance trainee.
