Yonkers: Analysis for Friday 11/11

MEET STATS: 391 - 1107 / $1,936.70 (-$277.30)
BEST BETS: 62 - 105 / $230.20 (+$20.20)
Best Bet: LIT DE ROSE (2nd)
Spot Play: BELLADONNA GIRL A (3rd)
Race 1: $15,000 Claiming Pace
(3) CAROLINA MAGIC has taken two straight at this level and he lands in a similar spot as last week; he's clearly the one to beat again. (4) WINDSONG JACK found the pocket to the top one last start and chased him around as second best. Similar trip looming? (2) ACES ROCK recently added Lasix and was a little bit better; from this good post he can land a share.

Race 2: F&M NW24466 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) LIT DE ROSE took money in her return from Canada and was unable to get involved as they were walking up front. Classy mare drops to face easier and will be put in play early by Lachance. (3) WESTBEACH is back from Philly where she picked up a second and a fourth in her two appearances. She has a win at a comparable level from a couple of months back and could add value underneath. (7) DRAGON ROLL dropped from the Open level last start but could not last on the front end. She does have plenty of early speed if Buter wants to take a shot off the gate.

Race 3: F&M NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(7) BELLADONNA GIRL A took care of business in her U.S. debut and while the Shane Tritton trainee moves outside and faces better she's still a must-use on top. (1) FADE OUT is one of a few newcomers to Yonkers in this race and this one has taken two straight, including her first for her new connections. Drawing inside makes her a big player. (4) COMMANDER CATHY N has been very sharp in her last few; she's only 1 for 28 on the season but consistently hits the board.
Race 4: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) CHIEFS BEACH dropped to this basement level last week and was hard used before giving way badly. He gets Bartlett tonight while drawing best and deserves another chance. (3) SOUTHWIND MOROCCAN was second best last week to Alex Tye, who has lots of back class. This gelding seems way overdue. (4) ADAM CROCKER A is a recent import who raced okay at Philly but he's now missed time with a sick scratch; use caution as he figures to take money.
Race 5: $20,000 Claiming Pace
(2) AMERICAN WIGGLE took some time to get going after being on the shelf most of the year but he finally put it all together with that blowout win last week. He's in again for the same $20K tag looking to repeat. (4) GOTAFOOLISHDESIRE paced an even third last week and now gets a big driver change to Bartlett. (3) GIVENUPDREAMING still makes money but wins seem hard to come by. He should be in the number from this spot.
Race 6: $25,000 Claiming Pace
(7) TWIN B SPEED DIAL put in another solid effort last week but was run over by the pocket sitter; veteran figures to be firing from the gate again with Holland and he can take this if not used too hard. (4) APEX SEELSTER was a shaky favorite last out in my opinion but he put in a nice effort to get it done; Koch trainee should be primed for another good try. (2) UPTOWN FUNK hasn't won in six starts since returning from a layoff but he's been in the money the last three.
Race 7: F&M Open Handicap Pace
(4) MORNING HAS BROKEN is unproven at this top level but that was a decent try last start and this barn has been going well. Mare gets a midpack post which gives Marohn some options. (7) MCMARKLE SPARKLE gets stuck all the way outside again but if there's any pace to close into she'll be flying home. (2) CLASSICIST has hit the board in all but two races this year; well-traveled four-year-old definitely looks fast enough.

Race 8: F&M NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) BEST HEAD WEST gets post relief tonight as she was stuck in the eight hole two of her last three. Devita trainee seems to have a bit of a class edge on these. (3) REACHFORTHESKY AS is another in the midst of a big season with over $180K banked. She also moves in a bit and returns to Stratton. (1) DC BATGIRL figures to be close to the pace throughout and can land a share.
Race 9: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) QUALITY BUD has been razor-sharp in defeat in his last three, especially last week where he fired hard from the outside and finished with good pace once free. Veteran is overdue for a win. (4) AIR FORCE HANOVER is rather inconsistent but he'll be right there with one of his better efforts. (3) ASTON HILL DAVE was a bit overmatched at the $40K claiming level but he should go better here.
Race 10: $15,000 Claiming Pace
(4) CASHNCAM could not reach last start ending his modest winning streak; he moves back to the inner half of the gate and should be close enough to potentially run down some shaky speed. (5) PICARD A beat $25K claimers two back and now he's in for $15K. Assuming he gives his usual effort he'll loom a major threat. (1) OHIO VINTAGE tired to third with no real excuse last start. Maybe he sits a pocket tonight.
