Race 1: NW7500 in last 5 starts Trot
(2) IN A TINY WAY was okay in her initial Yonkers start and the veteran mare draws well here in a race with no standouts and not a ton of speed on paper. (3) CREDIT TO FRANK dropped to the basement last week, added Brennan and jogged from the pocket. Burke trainee has Brennan again looking to double up. (5) SEA CAN drops with an improved post after a forgettable race from the eight hole; Stratton trainee figures to be more involved tonight.

Race 2: F&M NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) SP DANCINWITHSTARZ took all the money on last week's drop to this level and raced better but didn't seriously threaten; DiDomenico trainee draws her best post in ages and should be heading to the front. (5) ADALECIA faltered on the front end in her last two but may not be making the lead tonight; stalking may be a better way to go, however. (1) CHILLIN BYTHE POOL is entirely capable of saving ground from the rail and holding off the rest for a share.
Race 3: NW10000 in last 5 starts Trot
(3) TORRONE was sent to the front on last week's drop to this level and was collared late as the favorite. A similar race to that one can be enough to get it done here. (5) L DEES MARIA lagged at the back in her debut for the Bako barn but I suspect she'll be more on her toes tonight. (1) SHAKE N BAKE was last seen at Yonkers finishing close in the amateur final; picked up a few wins since then and gets Dube to catch drive in his local return.
Race 4: F&M Invitational Pace
(2) FRONT PAGE STORY is a fringe Invitational talent but this is a softer field than we usually see for the top class; Lachance trainee always gives an honest effort. (5) TICK A LOCH A and (6) SILK CLOUD N have both been recent Invite winners and deserve to be the outside two; will be interesting which one is leaving - or do they both push hard?
Race 5: F&M NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) COACHELLABOUND N has looked much better over the last few months, perhaps tapping into some of that back class. Bucci trainee has a post edge on a few key rivals and that may prove the difference. (6) STAYINGWITHTHEWIND recently raced well in a few starts at Pocono and has been facing better than these in most of her Yonkers starts. (3) VEL CINDERELLA ships in for Chindano, Jr and I fully expect her to be firing early.
Race 6: NW15661 in last 5 starts Trot
(4) WHEELZABLAZIN has been solid all season and has tallied nine wins with almost $130K in the bank. Alexander trainee essentially double drops in class and draws an improved post; he's a deserving favorite. (1) GOO FOR BROKE has fizzled on the front end in her last few and generally lacks enough late pop but she should be able to land on a live stalking trip and can hold her ground late. (2) MA ISABELLE is a strong candidate to be following close up and can emerge with a share.
Race 7: F&M NW12311 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) NILA MAREE N was overhauled by a couple of classier rivals last week but overall she's a good fit at this level and has a post edge on her chief rivals. That could get her over the top. (6) DANCING DRAGON was won three straight while climbing the class ladder and the Bongiorno trainee is a must-use. (4) SAMMY JO HANOVER was second best to #6 last week and held decently when passed.
Race 8: NW10551 in last 5 starts Trot
(2) FRANK LEAHY is consistent, well-mannered and has speed to serve him well when drawn inside. Burke 4YO drops again and may have found a winning spot. (3) EXQUISITE TASTE has burned plenty of money recently but still remains a threat. (1) BEAUEASTEL ships down to Yonkers off a blowout win at Saratoga but he's got something to prove facing better stock.
Race 9: F&M NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) TRUE BLUE HANOVER takes a needed drop in class tonight and faces a couple of shaky favorites to her inside. She does have early speed and this feels like the right spot to be aggressive. (2) DOUGS BABE A finally put things back together with a strong 1:52 2/5 win, then disappeared for three months; classy veteran resurfaces with a winning qualifier and if ready she can handle these. (6) CRUISE ALERT beat softer out of the eight hole last start and a similar effort can net her a piece at a price.

Race 10: NW6001 in last 5 starts Trot
(8) KASHA V absolutely HAS to improve position out of the gate and if he can land at least midpack then I'm confident he beats these--that's how soft this bottom-level trot is. Tom Corelli late double?(5) SENSI AMNESIA also drops and has some early speed; contender. (1) TREGARON is 0 for 17 but has hit the board in four of his last six against NW lifetime types for co-owner/driver Colin Kelly. Couple of shout-outs here to (2) STORMY KROMER, who was an Open/Invite winner here for years, and it would be cool to see him competitive again. Also how about (4) EUNICE making his first start in EIGHT YEARS!
