2025 MEET STATS: 308 - 1027 / $1,701.88 (-$352.12) BEST BETS: 54 - 101 / $174.44 (-$27.56) BEST BET: AARDIE B MIKI N (4th) SPOT PLAY: FIRST CLASS RULE (7th) Race 1: F&M NW10951 in last 5 starts Pace (1) LUCKY ARTIST A has had a resurgence recently with a narrow loss and a narrow win over her last two; 12YO mare is loaded with class and is sharp enough to tackle a bit better. (4) TWIN B SUNKISSED was not a factor in her local return but the Burke trainee was racing well prior to that and should appreciate the drop in class. (2) RACIN HUNGRY has bounced around to different venues recently and maybe hasn't found the right spot yet. She was facing better when last at Yonkers and now Bartlett picks up the drive. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) ELEGANT A rolled on the front end last week and I think she's sharp enough to repeat while facing better. (5) LOUIES GIRL N was a sick scratch last out and has now missed some time. Does that slow this import down? Probably not, but with the tactical edge going to #4 I'll slot her second. (2) MACHS LEGACY A has won three of four and has made her way from $20K claimers up to this optional $60K class. She's on a career-defining roll now. Race 3: F&M NW15126 in last 5 starts Pace (1) CHERYLS SHADOW almost made it wire-to-wire two back from the eight hole when last in this class and now she's got the rail in another controlling position. She's only 2 for 28 but still gets top call tonight. (4) UPTOWN HANOVER is arguably the best in here but the trip is uncertain, with (3) DONEGAL SPIRIT and Bartlett directly to her inside, who figures to be forwardly placed off the gate. Race 4: F&M Invitational Pace (2) AARDIE B MIKI N just missed in her last two and did burn plenty of money in the process but tonight she draws the best possible post in this overstuffed six-horse Invite and Bartlett may opt to control the action. (3) MY RED SEA made a very nice first impression in her debut at the top level and the Bongiorno trainee can build off that effort; overall she's been great since arriving from Ohio. Holland picks up the drive tonight. (4) ODDS ON PLATINUM beat the top two last time and obviously must be respected. Race 5: NW5041 in last 5 starts Pace Look at the posts this hard-luck (3) QUALITY BUD has had over the last few months. Finally he's in a realistic spot and the 12YO is way overdue for a win. (4) GALANTE A also gets major post improvement after having 7,8,7 his last three. He also drops to the basement conditioned level and picks up the leading driver. The lowest price he's been in his last five races was 43/1 but he may be 3/5 tonight. (2) OZONE BLUE CHIP also moves inside after a couple of eight holes and he's loaded with back class. Race 6: NW7626 in last 5 starts Trot (6) LUCKY MUM N was competitive in the FM Invite not too long ago and now she finds herself down in class again making her second start back off the moderate layoff; hoping Holland is aggressive early with her. (2) PISCO SOUR recently added hobbles, now goes back to Bartlett. She just missed two back at this level. (3) BARN HALL has been dull as dishwater but he used to be good so maybe there's a turnaround on the horizon. Veteran is well-mannered which sometimes is half the battle. Race 7: NW11181 in last 5 starts Trot (4) FIRST CLASS RULE makes his second start for the Burke barn after arriving from Canada and the 3YO finished close last week at The Meadowlands. Youngester is eligible for more improvement. (1) DIAMANTE TRIO IT steps up off a nice win and is a very logical favorite. Gets Bartlett with Buter on #4. (3) CACTUSTOTHECLOUDS takes a needed drop in class and gets significant post relief. He's made over $100K this year and fits well with these. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8: NW15201 in last 5 starts Trot (6) RITSON was second best last week at one level higher than these; he does move out from the rail to the six hole and I'm not sure how fast he can be off the gate but if he can land somewhere near the leaders I think this Noel Daley trainee has a legit chance. (3) MY MAN PETER is another logical favorite from the top trainer/driver. (1) ENERGYSOURCE is just 1 for 27 on the year but has finished third ten times so I'll look at him to land another board spot. Race 9: NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot (5) INFINITY STONE plunged to this optional $12,500 claiming level last week and he took care of business on the front end. He won't offer a ton of value on the win end but can repeat with a similar effort. (7) EPOS OSTERVANG DK seems to have underachieved more often than not but is hard to ignore in this soft field, even from the poor post. (4) FULL RIGHTS has been very lackluster for an extended period of time but owner/trainer Ray Schnittker keeps sending him out there. He does stay trotting and has some early zip off the gate, plus goes back to a catch driver.
