SPOT PLAY: QUALITY BUD (10th)
Race 1: F&M NW5521 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) MIKI THE CLOWN ships back from The Meadows and rejoins the DiDomenico barn. Last year the mare went 4 for 12 here with a 1:52 3/5 mark facing much better. (1) ACEFORTYFOUR ALEX was aggressively handled last week and it didn't work out. Another chance from the rail. (6) ROCKNROLL ANNIE doesn't win often at just 3 for 58 over the last two seasons but she does fit with these.

Race 2: F&M NW11291 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) DRAGONS LUCKY LADY has been racing better of late and she gets to drop in class for the fourth consecutive start. Engblom trainee is overdue. (3) FADE OUT also drops down in class returning from a solid try at Philly and she's beaten better than these in the not-too-distant past. (6) TWO PISTOL ANNIE was claimed for $50K plus allowances two back by the Shane Tritton barn and she raced very well last week. Being drawn outside of her main competition is a major negative.

Race 3: NW7500 in last 5 starts Trot
(3) B NICKING finds a spot where he can wake up in a hurry. Expecting Brennan to send him to the front looking to wire these. (2) BROOKVIEW DARIUS was stuck in the eight hole at this level two back then was a close third last week after sitting the pocket in a $40K claimer. Erv Miller trainee looks like the main threat to the top one. (5) BARRY BLACK showed his class last week when grinding by to beat a notch lesser. Ageless import and land another piece here.
Race 4: F&M NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) TONY'S MOM had zero response last start when stuck outside facing better in her first start back from a layoff. Her qualifier two back was solid when she finished second to Leonidas A and Bartlett is back driving tonight. (5) REC TIME was bet to favorite status in her local return and closed well but didn't get there. She's 0 for 13 and counting this year at Yonkers but will land a nice piece with any reasonable trip. (2) CAMERICAN has had a nice career so far with over $465K banked but as a filly facing more seasoned foes I'll leave her underneath.
Race 5: NW10000 in last 5 starts Trot
In a completely formless race maybe (3) P L OSCAR can be sent off the gate and steal it on the front end. Last week he made the top from the eight hole before tiring to third. (4) NO TURNING BACK gets some class relief for Stratton after a couple of even efforts. (1) SAINT K is another shipper from the Meadows from the same connections as the top choice in race 1. Picks up Brennan for DiDomenico.
Race 6: F&M NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) LUCKY ARTIST A drops back to the level of her last win, draws the rail and returns to driver Steve Smith, who piloted her to that recent victory. She likely offers more value than the other classy dropper in here (3) MAN DONTFORGET ME, who was competitive at the Invite level not too long ago. (2) NIKASA N has performed well since being claimed for just $20K and she should be sitting close to the action throughout.
Race 7: NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot
(6) CHARMBO PRINCE has been competitive on the 'B' circuit up in Canada and now ships down south and joins the Travis Alexander barn while facing a blank field. Good luck getting that 20/1 that he's listed on the morning line. (1) ATTA GIRL DANI looks best of the locals and moves in to the rail; very logical. (3) CHINESE WHISPER N has no current form but the Cushing barn has had plenty of success in the past with their shippers.
Race 8: F&M Invitational Pace
(5) COACHELLABOUND N wired an Invite field last start, though that was three weeks ago. Bartlett drives again and if ready the Bucci trainee can double up here. (2) LIT DE ROSE is clearly feeling good again, but then again when is she ever not? Lachance trainee may be one of the most consistent (and talented) mares we've seen this decade. (7) DOUGS BABE A needs lots to go right but she's a proven winner with this type and will be a big price.

Race 9: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot
(4) ROYALTY BEER has tired on the front end in his two starts for Lachance since arriving from Quebec. Trotter goes second-time Lasix tonight and deserves another try. (1) RODEO HILL has outraced his odds in his last couple and should be close up again from this spot. (3) FULL SCALE has hit the board in 12 consecutive races as he's made his way up the class ladder. Adamczyk trainee steps up looking for three straight wins.
Race 10: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
It's been a long dry spell for (6) QUALITY BUD but his last two have shown improvement and he faces such a soft field that I would be surprised if he wasn't right there at the wire. (2) SPLASH BROTHER still has that speed and loads of back class but he hasn't been finishing; not likely to be used as hard tonight, though. (3) MY ULTIMATE STAR A hasn't done anything notable lately but time-wise he stacks up well here.
