2025 MEET STATS: 308 - 1027 / $1,701.88 (-$352.12) BEST BETS: 54 - 101 / $174.44 (-$27.56) BEST BET: JIVE DANCING A (2nd) SPOT PLAY: CHERYLS SHADOW (5th) Race 1: NW7500 in last 5 starts Trot (5) B NICKING seems to underachieve when in live spots but with his class drop and better post Brennan figures to be more aggressive in the early stages. (3) DIAMONTE TRIO IT is far and away the biggest money earner in here over the last couple of seasons but she hasn't been at her best and needs to find more late; not much value expected either. (6) WINDSONG PIONEER and (1) CROWN MONARCH are both stepping up off wire-to-wire wins, both can be considered logical plays. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (1) JIVE DANCING A has really found her stride over the last two weeks and she's got tons of back class so the step up to NW7500 may not be a concern. (3) IDEAL COVER has also completely turned things around in her last two; main threat. (5) LUCKY ARTIST A rallied for second last start with the drop in class and she's not that far removed from a couple of board spots while facing NW20000 types. She's another very classy mare and recently went over the $800K lifetime plateau. Race 3: F&M NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) TONY'S MOM gets some class relief and a better post to work with; she fits with these and should offer some value in this competitive event. (2) EASY TO PLEASE pays the bills by excelling in spots such as this and she closed well last week from too far back; should be closer tonight. (5) ELEGANT A was a good second last out at Philly and had missed almost a month prior to that start; mare just missed in a 1:53 mile when last at Yonkers and she may be able to make the front from this spot. Race 4: F&M NW10251 in last 5 starts Pace (1) MALUKA MISS N was dull last start but she double-drops in class, lands the rail and returns to Brennan, who seems to get along best with her. (2) VIBRANCE closed well in her last race, which was slower than prior efforts but the first time she had gone forward late in some time and maybe the Burke trainee can build off that effort. (4) ONE MORE BET has been just okay since arriving in the U.S. for the Lachance barn but last week was a step in the right direction. Not sure if she works out such a cozy trip this time however. Race 5: F&M NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (7) CHERYLS SHADOW draws worst again but she's got proven early speed to overcome the outside post. Dilloian Jr. trainee is overdue and figures to offer a reasonable price. (1) UPTOWN HANOVER had too far to come last week in a race controlled by a rated pace but she drops and moves to the rail; Cullipher mare is a major player. (4) IDEALINFUN was just shy last start in a good try. She's another capable one in here who hasn't won in a while. Race 6: NW15176 in last 5 starts Trot (2) BLACKHAWK ZETTE could not last as the odds-on favorite when down in class last week but the 4YO draws a good post again and deserves another try at a better price. Stratton could be looking to take him down the road. (4) PC FREE WHEELING moves back to the conditioned ranks after being in a $40K claimer the last few starts; she's hit the board in four of her last five and may be overlooked here with trainer Cory Stratton in the bike. Family exacta? (1) TACHYON broke two back but any of her other recent efforts would be good enough to win this. Race 7: F&M NW32951 in last 5 starts Pace (2) STAYINGWITHTHEWIND gets Brennan back in the bike tonight and she won the last two times he drove. Mare has made her way up the class ladder to the top levels and she's proven she belongs. (5) ELUSIVE A had stretch traffic in her North American debut and certainly deserves to be followed again. (3) FRONT PAGE STORY brings an honest effort every start and should be more involved with the post improvement. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8: NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot (6) HOOLIE N HECTOR didn't race that badly up in class in his two starts after being claimed by the Bucci barn and now he drops back down to the level of his last win. Veteran meets a questionable field and is listed at 20/1 ML. (1) MYCROWNMYKINGDOM went fast and gave way last week; now he's back to Holland and drops to the basement conditioned level. (4) GREEN PASTURES has a 1:56 1/5 win at Yonkers this year but otherwise the Engblom trainee has been inconsistent. Race 9: NW5965 in last 5 starts Pace (3) BLACK EDITION N arrives from Saratoga with a new barn and driver. Now in the Cory Stratton barn with Jordan driving he was squeezed into this class and seems to have found a live spot. (4) TWIG is better than he's been showing and he finally lands a more reasonable post. Expect Holland to be leaving with him. (1) SARGEANT SONNY finished with pace last week when Bartlett drove and now the owner/trainer Petter Engblom is back in the bike; helps the price. Race 10: NW10000 in last 5 starts Trot (4) PISCO SOUR is winless on the year but she added hobbles for her last start and raced well to be second; perhaps the Engblom trainee can build off that effort. (2) APPLE FRITTER was a winner in his debut for new connections and that's four in his last five; 4YO gives Yonkers a try with that live form. (3) KASHA V has been relatively consistent recently and can be a board threat again. [DRF HARNESS: Follow me on X! @drfharnessmatt]
