Race 1: NW7500 in last 5 starts Trot

(1) I GET IT has always been a nice trotter racing in Michigan and Ohio all these years with the owner/trainer driving. Now he arrives in a more prominent barn with a catch driver and it will interesting to see how the gelding reacts. I'll take a swing as long as he's not ridiculously overbet. (3) LINDSEY'S PRIDE gets needed class relief and can awaken, and same with (4) PERRON, who has class but little current form.

Race 2: F&M NW16901 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) VILLAGE JADE has been racing well for the Burke barn from both on and off the pace; mare just missed closing last start when bumped up to this level and should be an honest price in this open event. (7) OKINAWA BEACH A put in a big effort from the eight hole last week - tried to leave, took back to trail then finished with plenty. She'll likely be last again but can make one big late run at a big price. (1) MCMARKLE SPARKLE got the job done from the pocket on last week's dropdown and she has the class to step up with another good effort.

Race 3: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot

(5) HOOLIE N HECTOR dropped down to this level last week and took constant pressure on the front end before getting caught by a longshot who make a big move from the rear. Lachance gets the catch drive tonight from a similar spot and he's as good as any in here. (1) TACHYON has been racing well without a victory to show for it and if he minds his manners he'll be a big player. (2) ROSE RUN XTRA tailed off in his last couple from outside posts but he drops, moves inside and goes second-time Lasix. Troy Beyer makes his 2023 Yonkers debut tonight and picks up the drive on the Bako trainee.

Race 4: F&M NW11639 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) DOUGS BABE A was a major Matchmaker player earlier this year and she returns locally at a much lower level and also comes off a confidence-building win at Pocono, Lots to like here, but not much of a price. (5) SOMESWEETSOMEWHERE gets some needed post relief and the Toscano trainee can be more involved. (6) PRANCING QUEEN recently moved to the Burke Brigade and blew away softer fields at The Meadows; very intriguing here.

Race 5: F&M NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(6) SUGAR BRITCHES shipped up from Lexington for the Engblom barn after failing in Kentucky sired events and the filly dominated a softer field. Perhaps she's ready to tackle a bit tougher. (2) JODY has talent but is so unreliable and likes to burn money; use caution. (1) ACEFOURTYFOUR ALEX has made a nice living at the $50K claiming level despite only one win on the year. Mare is good at sitting and saving then picking up pieces.

Race 6: F&M NW23271 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) ANNABELLE HANOVER has been stuck in the seven hole in her last three races but she finished for a fifth-place check in each. Four back from this post she left for a pocket and upset at almost 9/1. I'm looking for a trip tonight where she'll be close enough to reach. (2) TWIN B SUNKISSED was hung to dry last week facing better and the Burke trainee now gets to drop and gets major post relief; big player. (5) OAXACAN DREAM N had no chance last start but she rallied well for third in her prior effort.

Race 7: NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot

(4) WARRIOR ONE appears to have a class edge on these and gets a shaky vote here in a forgettable race. (3) NEWSBOY has done nothing since the $50K claim last month but he lands in a good spot here. (6) B MEDITHREE blew up at the start last week when dropped in class. If he minds his manners Brennan can have him forwardly placed.

Race 8: F&M Open Handicap, NW30K last 5 draw ins Pace

(5) KARMA SEELSTER was outfinished in her last start as the winner lit up the teletimer in 1:51 1/5; classy mare gets Siegelman on the catch drive with Stratton across the river and looks to have a clear path to the front. (3) LIT DE ROSE lands a good post inside of her main competition and is the one to beat here, possibly as the post-time favorite. (6) COACHELLABOUND N saw her win streak snapped in the same race #5 comes out of, where Drama Act took control and dominated. Interesting to see how she handles her first outside post at Yonkers.

Race 9: F&M NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) THUNDRA pops up with a good effort from time to time and this is the softest spot she's seen in a while; maybe. (1) MAGICAL MISTRESS rallied mildly for a small share in her first start for these connections off the $20K claim and now she moves all the way inside. She's certainly logical here. (5) SPORTS FLIX has fallen on hard times, as has (6) PLZDONTLIETOME N, but they both have back class to tap into. #6 will be the much bigger price of the two.
