Bongiorno trainee was still timed in 1:52 flat despite tiring last week and he really should have no excuse here. (1) PAT STANLEY N also drops and was a winner when last in this class. (4) OSTRO HANOVER returns to Yonkers for a barn that has definitely perked up recently; consider underneath at a price. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW5183 in last 5 starts Trot (4) BARRY BLACK woke up with a better effort last out and the classy veteran now gets the post improvement he needs to help get him over the top. (1) NO MORE SWEETS has done little in six start after arriving locally and joining the Engblom barn. He does move all the way inside and should be a player. (6) HEADOVERBOOTS AS is much-improved in two starts after moving to the DiDomenico barn. Race 3: NW16111 in last 5 starts Trot (6) YANKS DUGOUT has bounced around from driver to driver recently and that's pretty rare for a Burke trainee but Stratton gets the call again after finishing second upon dropping to this level last week. Trotter was odds-on in that start and will offer much more value tonight. (4) CANTSTOP YANKEE won out of eight hole two back in a life mark then couldn't reach last start. Post improvement makes him tough. (3) P L NOTSONICE has been racing well without a victory to show for it and two back she almost pulled it off at a huge price. Could be the favorite here. Race 4: NW8001 in last 5 starts Trot (1) BONTONI DEGATO S takes a moderate dip in class and switches back to Bartlett. From the rail he gets a tepid call. (5) HOOLIE N HECTOR snapped a losing streak last week when Brennan returned. He figures to be forwardly placed again. (8) P L OSCAR draws worst but he's got some early speed and a more aggressive driver tonight. Race 5: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot (2) STORMONT DIVIDE was a touch short from the pocket last out facing some classy foes and he faces a seemingly much softer group here. Burke trainee looks primed to roll. (1) SWEET SOUL DAVID steps up again in good form and is in line for a live trip. (6) PC FREE WHEELING has been consistent recently with a couple of second-place finishes and a third. Tough spot to get the win but he's certainly capable of landing on the board again. Race 6: F&M NW31151 in last 5 starts Pace (3) LLOYD'S LOVES is a 17-time winner already this year and with the post relief the Garcia-Herrera trainee can start a new streak tonight. (4) MAN DONTFORGET ME was outfinished in her last couple at the top level but she drops to a more reasonable spot and is always capable of stepping up; versatile sort, too. (2) CHERYLS SHADOW is much more effective a level or two down but she draws well and figures to be staying close to the action with Bartlett. Race 7: NW10861 in last 5 starts Trot (7) ROYALTY BEER took all the money in his local return but the Lachance trainee tired to third after cutting the mile. The price figures to go way up now with the move outside but there doesn't seem to be a ton of speed to his inside and lately Lachance hasn't been shy about firing off the gate. (4) STEALING was a good second in a quick time for an amateur event first off the Devita claim; Dube drives tonight. (2) RODEO HILL was much-improved last time out when getting major post relief and he's inside again. Race 8: F&M NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (5) ULTIMATE SPEED has second best in her last two losing to classy rivals and she faces somewhat softer here; Alexander trainee will be tough with an alert getaway. (3) MCMARKLE SPARKLE steps up off a win but keeps Bartlett and has plenty of back class. (2) SILKY STRIDE faces better here but has been sharp and she figures to be looking at a live trip. (2) FRONT PAGE STORY has been unable to finish recently but her speed always makes her dangerous. (3) JK MY GIRL gets some class relief in her second start after returning from Running Aces and she can sit close and land a piece at a price. Race 10: F&M NW5541 in last 5 starts Pace (1) ACEFORTYFOUR ALEX is always good for a win or two per season and now maybe dropping from the $20K claimers and landing the rail is the recipe for success. (2) BADDITUDE returns locally off a dominating win at Freehold and she's clearly the most accomplished of these this year; short price. (3) CHILLIN BYTHEPOOL is another 0-fer in 2024 but she's been third in her last three and rates as highly tonight.
