Yo Y Me invades for Arapahoe Park Sprint

Yo Y Me, a multiple stakes winner in his native Arizona, invades Colorado on Sunday to run in the $30,000 Arapahoe Park Sprint. He is part of a field of eight for a five-furlong race for 3-year-olds and up.
Others set to start include Z Smoking Gun, who was second in last year’s Arapahoe Sprint, and Rainbow Squall, winner of a $50,000 starter allowance at Santa Anita in his last start March 24.
Yo Y Me won five straight races from late 2016 to spring 2017 at Turf Paradise, with four of those wins coming in stakes. He later ventured to Arapahoe and won last year’s Colorado Derby. Karlo Lopez has the mount Sunday for co-owner and trainer Kevin Eikleberry.
K P Wildcat highweight at Ruidoso
K P Wildcat is the 126-pound highweight for the $30,000 First Lady Handicap on Sunday at Ruidoso Downs. The six-furlong race for fillies and mares drew a field of seven, including Arapahoe Park stakes winner Warrens Puppy Love.
K P Wildcat had won five straight races – including four stakes – up to her last start, when fifth in the $100,000 Harry Henson won by Southern California invader Faypien on March 25 at Sunland Park. K P Wildcat was an allowance winner last year at Ruidoso. Justin Shepherd has the mount from post 6 for Karl Pergola and trainer Weston Martin.
