Yankee Injunuity, Oasis Dancer out of BC

ARCADIA, Calif. - Yankee Injunuity and Oasis Dancer have been removed from consideration for the 2009 Breeders' Cup, according to officials from Breeders' Cup Ltd.

Yankee Injunuity was scheduled to start in the Turf Sprint, while Oasis Dancer was among the pre-entrants in the Juvenile Turf. No official explanation for Yankee Injunuity's declaration had been received by the Breeders' Cup as of early Friday afternoon. They said trainer Ralph Beckett simply decided not to have Oasis Dancer make the trip from Europe for the Juvenile Turf, since his colt was well down on the also-eligible list and unlikely to draw into the race.

Pre-entrants out of Breeders' Cup:

* Sweet Hearth - Dirt Mile / F&M Sprint

* Yankee Injunuity - Turf Sprint

* Oasis Dancer - Juvenile Turf
