Work All Week coming to town

Work All Week, the champion sprinter of 2014 who is being considered for the Count Fleet, is due to arrive at Oaklawn this weekend, trainer Roger Brueggemann said. Work All Week, who in his last start won the Breeders’ Cup Sprint, was freshened after the race and has been in training at a farm in Ocala, Fla. Brueggemann, who trains the champion for Midwest Thoroughbreds, has a division at Oaklawn.
Gentlemen’s Bet, the winner of the $100,000 Hot Springs Stakes at Oaklawn last Saturday, is being pointed for the Count Fleet, trainer Ron Moquett said Monday. For his win, the horse earned a career-high 108 Beyer Speed Figure.
Far Right breezes
Far Right on Monday had his first breeze since winning last month’s Grade 3, $300,000 Southwest. He went in company with Sakima, who is being considered for the Rebel, according to trainer Moquett.
Moquett said Far Right is being pointed for the Arkansas Derby. The pair worked five furlongs in the mud in 1:04 right after the renovation break. “We just let him stretch his legs, typical maintenance,” Moquett said of Far Right.
