Randy Goulding's pick six play at Woodbine for mandatory payout on Saturday, July 23, 2022.  Race 5: MISS MARIE (#2) had a brutal trip when she made her seasonal debut June 11 and figures to move forward with a race behind her and a solid interim work on July 9. BIG BAND LUZZIANN (#6) took them all the way in her latest, and there does not appear to be a lot of other speed in the field. AMAZIN QUEEN (#7) did not get beat by much in her first try on turf and owns the best last-race Beyer Speed Figure. MOQADAMA (#3) ran okay in her two tries on turf and was impressive winning a maiden special weight race on Tapeta in her second start in North America. The lightly raced 4-year-old could be sitting on a big effort here, and anything coming out of the Mark Cassie barn has to be respected. (4) :: Receive bonus PPs for Woodbine when you access any other Saturday DRF PPs Race 6: WITCH HAZEL (#5) showed some promise in her debut when she was the runner-up to Collecting Flatter who repeated in the $130,000 My Dear Stakes. Among her three turf-winning siblings is Hemp Hemp Hurray who won the $55,000 Tyro at Monmouth in his second start before just missing in the Grade 2 Summer at Woodbine, so she should be fine with the surface switch. MISCHIEF LILY (#11) is bred to win early and debuts for a potent jockey-trainer combo. FILM (#2) was favored in her debut when she finished behind Witch Hazel, and considering both siblings are turf winners and her dam was the runner-up in a Group 1 race on turf in France and lost by a head in the Grade 1 E.P. Taylor at Woodbine, her breeding strongly suggest she could thrive with the move to grass. KANTBACKOFF (#9) is by a solid debut sire who has strong numbers with turf sprinters and hails from a barn that can have a baby ready to roll first time. (4) Race 7: WAR BOMBER (#7) is going to appreciate the much easier company he is facing after chasing a couple of local champions in his first start this year in the Grade 3 Dominion Day. RIPTIDE ROCK (#4) chased the same horses in the Grade 2 Eclipse on May 25, runs well fresh, and is reunited with jockey Justin Stein who was aboard for his win in his first start this year. HARLAN ESTATE (#5) is better on turf, but he is capable on Tapeta, and he should be full of confidence following his sharp win on the grass June 12. (3) Race 8: The all button makes sense in this competitive event, but in order to make an affordable ticket we will narrow it down to four beginning with AVIE’S FLATTER (#13), who won this race in his second start last year. He came back with a decent work after flopping as the chalk in his first outing this year, so expecting him to rebound for a sharp trainer who the past five years has a 27 percent strike rate and $2.44 ROI with horses making their second start following a layoff of 180 days or more. MARCH TO THE ARCH (#1) might want a bit more distance, but he runs well fresh and gets some class relief after a troubled trip in the Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup Turf on Jan. 29. CHEWING GUM (#3) was good enough to finish second behind $1.4 million earner Casa Creed in the Grade 1 Jaipur at Belmont last year and comes into this following a win in the Grade 2 Joe Hernandez at Santa Anita in his only outing in 2022. FILO DI ARIANNA (#7) needs to prove he belongs, but he was impressive winning on Tapeta in his latest and handled this turf course just fine in his initial start in North America last year. (4) RACE 9: ANYQUIST (#1) is bred to go this far, and she raced greenly in the stretch when she finished fourth in her lone route attempt as a 2-year-old in just her second start. She could be dangerous with the blinkers going on following an even effort in her first start this year. LADY MOONSHINE (#4) keeps coming close and could get up in time if things finally fall her way. (2) Race 10: ALPHA MIA (#3) is stepping up in class, but she had early trouble and then went very wide around the stretch turn when she finished a fast-closing second going seven furlongs on turf in just her second try on the green stuff. She could be dangerous if jockey Rafael Hernandez can get her into a stalking position just off what figures to be an honest and contested pace. Not sure if MITZI (#2) will go this far, but she was disqualified from first running on the main turf course at this level two back and came back with a sharp work following her disappointing fourth as the chalk in her latest on Tapeta. (2) THE PLAY: 2,3,6,7 / 2,5,9,11 / 4,5,7 / 1,3,7,13 / 1,4 / 2,3 = $153.60.
