Woodbine: Native Legend now 3 for 3

Native Legend ($4.10) remained unbeaten after her third start with a daylight victory in the $126,600 Star Shoot Stakes at Woodbine.

Native Legend stalked a fast pace along the inside in the six-furlong dash, as Silwa set wind-aided fractions of 21.44 and 44.48 seconds. Richard Dos Ramos angled Native Legend wide at the quarter pole, and she hit the front at the eighth pole en route to a two-length win over Silky Smooth. Bear Now finished another neck back in third in the nine-horse field of 3-year-olds fillies.

Native Legend, trained by Darwin Banach for owner Bill Sorokolit Sr., garnered $75,000 in her stakes debut.- Ron Gierkink
