Race 1
(6) MAJOR MUSCLE was impressive last week, rolling by late with a 27-flat kicker; I’ll stick with her. (7) BUZZ was a strong winner last time he raced in this class. He will likely get sent off the gate this time. (3) MARQUIS VOLO was much closer when dropped to this class last time and he can win this if he is close enough at the head of the lane. (4) WHISKEY TAX found a soft field last week and he notched his first win in two years; smaller share predicted here.
Race 2
(5) CATCH A SECRET – an $80K Lexington sale buy – is by one of the leading first-crop sires and she looks ready to roll here; top call. (3) ABUELITA HANOVER faces straight maidens for the first time. She should be dangerous here. (2) TEQUILA PARTY comes off a narrow loss and she should contend from close range again. (9) DOCS DARLIN figures to close late again for a small slice.
Race 3
(3) MUSCLE HIGH drops down to a class where he might be able to control the race from start to finish; top call. (6) TOUCHDOWN AS can threaten with a better start and he’s another that may get sent here; using. (8) THE POWER OF MANY moves in a couple of posts which gives here a better shot. (4) ROSESAREEXPLOSIVE is always on the edges it seems and she figures to take a small share.
Race 4
(8) THINK AGAIN was rolling late last time and if he can work out a slightly better trip, he can take these. (3) BRICKMAN is an obvious contender coming off two narrow losses. Toss him on multi-race tickets. (10) REGIL TIGER was a winner in this class two starts back and he is viable here at a good price from out there. (5) REAL WICKED steps up off a win when claimed. These are tougher, and I’ll use him underneath only.
Race 5
(7) BREEZY and (9) SHE CAN PARTY look like the two main contenders here based on their most recent starts. Edge to the former based on post position. (4) OXFORD COMMA comes off a good effort when shuffled and she’s the other one that I’ll use on multi-race tickets. (3) TANZANIAN is worth a look for the exotics off her September 14 start here.
Race 6
(4) ODDS ON AMETHYST signalled a return to his top form last week and if he is close to his best here, he should be tough. (8) LEAN HANOVER is sharp and dangerous despite his post. (5) TRY TRY AGAIN is a threat from off the pace here and it wouldn’t be a shock if he rolled by them all in the lane. (6) MAJESTIC PRESENCE can leave for position then stick around for a slice.
Race 7
(3) TWOFOURROADIE moves up off a loss, but this race can set up for him and he should be a good price; top call. (6) P L JILL drops but comes off a break in stride which is concerning. She likely either breaks or wins here. (8) SLIP INTO GLIDE is in top form and he for sure will be heard from here. (2) HEAD TURNING JAG should be forwardly placed and with the right trip, he could beat them all.
Race 8
(5) LISVINNIE is having a stellar year and he’s simply the one to beat here again. (3) OK ICEMAN toppled the choice on September 10th and if he lands in his pocket at the start, he’s got a shot of repeating. (1) SINGHAMPTON KENNY is a solid earner and he is another who should be in the first flight early; using underneath. (6) DARCEE N drops in for a tag and he may attract a claim, but he hasn’t won a race in forever and I have to play against him in this spot.
Race 9
(2) WRITE ME A SONG has been perfectly managed this season and she should be ready for another big effort here; slight nod. (1) SHOWER PLAY comes off a Grand Circuit win and will likely go favored. She’s the one to hold off. (3) KENDALL SEELSTER goes back with her own age group here and she is another danger. (4) PERCY BLUE CHIP raced better last time, but the top three look very tough here.
Race 10
(5) DANCER HALL can be raced effectively from anywhere and I’ll give him a slight nod over super sophomore filly (4) ATLANTA who surely has future stakes engagements coming up soon. (6) DUNBAR HALL could roll by late if the top two hook up mid-race; using. (1) ROYAL WITCHH is a good one to use on the bottom of Tris and Supers here coming off a big win.
Race 11
(9) CLOUD NINE HANOVER got hung out to dry last time, but it looks as though he may be able to clear here which could make all the difference. (8) LMC MASS OAK gets McClure here coming off a decent effort; using. (6) DOTTIE is always on the board racing at this class; using underneath. (4) BLAMEITONTHEWHISKY drops and he should get a piece of this racing near the front. (2) CRESURREY is another who should be racing near the front that should stick around for a slice.
