(7) SIMSALABIM has two solid 2nds on his resume from two tries and while he may be a big chalk in here, he does look best. (6) I GOT THE LOOKS should be the main threat if he stays flat, using. (4) TRUE BREW’s most recent qualifier makes him interesting for the Pick 5. (2) BIG BLUE FORD is capable of threatening if he can stay flat. That may be the biggest issue for many of them in here.
Race 2 – ONTARIO SIRES STAKES - GRASSROOTS – 3YO Fillies
(5) KYLIE SEELSTER always comes to play in these Grassroots races, and she gets top call here. (1) PREMIER CABERNET gave a very good filly a race in her last start and she should be a big threat here. (2) BLUEWATER BEACH should sit a good trip again and she can hang around for a share. (7) TWIN B FRIENDLY is usually in the mix in these races; consider for the exotics.
Race 3 – CLM HDCP $12,000 to $15,000
(7) SEVERUS HANOVER ships in on a roll and you know where Roy is pointing him leaving the gate. He is the one to catch and beat here. (8) A J DESTINY has shown he fits well in this class and he should pose a challenge at some point of the mile. (5) VERO AMORE BI is always dangerous racing at this level, and he is another one that merits Pick 5 consideration. (1) STONEBRIDGE HALL is worth a look for the exotics racing off the fresh claim.
Race 4 – ONTARIO SIRES STAKES - GRASSROOTS – 3YO Fillies - **$50K GTD Pick 4**
(5) TWIN B TIPSTER had a perfect prep for this race last week in which she showed good late pace; call to upset. (1) SWIFT ALLY looks for four straight wins here and she’s the one to beat. (2) DEB will no doubt be winging early here, and she could be very tough if she gets a breather. (7) RED RIVER JANE should be passing some of these late; consider using on the bottom of Tris and Supers.
Race 5 – ONTARIO SIRES STAKES - GRASSROOTS - 3 YO Fillies
(5) IDEATION HANOVER gets the nod here facing easier and drawing well. (4) ARYA STARK took advantage of a quick early pace last time, but she flew by late and if there is any early battling, she’ll be the one to fear here in the lane. (1) CRANBERRY BRIE made up a lot of ground late last time and she could sneak onto the Tri here. (9) BE BEST should pepper the early pace and she would be dangerous if she clears before reaching the 1/4.
Race 6 – ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES, GRASSROOTS STARTERS IN 2019
(2) REBELLIOUS LADY has four Exacta finishes in her past four starts after recording none in her previous five. She gets the nod here. (1) HALO ITS ME could get the setup she needs in this race; using. (7) CHAMPAGNE JANE is an obvious contender dropping out of a Grand Circuit race, but she may get over bet here. (8) CAMBRIDGE KATE comes off a sharp win – her first of the year – and she\s another in the mix in a contentious dash.
Race 7 – CLM HDCP $18,000 to $25,000 Pick 4
(6) RACEMUP is as sharp as a tack and he goes off the Shepherd claim here in another spot where he should be tough. (5) ROCKIN WIZARD was used hard from the worst post last time now he moves to one of the better posts; using. (1) ZEN DA BALLYKEEL is always in the exotics mix and he’ll be passing horses late again and he could upset if everything shakes out his way. (8) LONE WOLF TERROR should also be passing rivals late; use underneath in Tris and Supers.
Race 8 – NW $10,000 L5 NW $26,000 L10. AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. AE: NW $76,000 LIFETIME
This race appears as though it can set up for a closer, so I’ll give (2) WHAT A RUSH the call to upset. (9) HEY LIVVY is always risky because of her gait issues bit when she trots the whole way, she can be impossible to catch. (8) MAJOR MUSCLE is in excellent form and she is another stalker who could take advantage late. (10) BIG RICH may blast early with Hey Livvy and they could cancel each other out if there is any early battling.
Race 9 – ONTARIO SIRES STAKES - GRASSROOTS - 3 YO Fillies
(6) SAULSBROOK JESSIE comes to play every start and she has shown she can be effective using various styles; top call. (7) SPORTS FLIX was a sharp Grassroots winner two starts back and McNair should put her in play early; using in the Pick 4. (9) SPRINGBRIDGEVISION is capable but her typical style may leave her too far back early here; your call. (1) SHESONEHOTWRITER should provide some early speed and she can hang around for a share.
Race 10 – 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 or $25,000 LT
(7) LEGION SEELSTER stepped up and delivered here last week in his first start over the track and he should be tough to beat here. (3) MOHAWK SEELSTER brings a perfect record in, but he has had some issues. I’m not sure he can pace in 51 and change here. (2) NAGLE is a good price horse to use in the exotics with his good tactical speed. (1) LYONS PEGASUS has hinted at some talent and of he behaves here he should contend. (9) ROCK N ZEUS was a sharp winner when facing lesser, but he can pass some of these late to make it onto the Super or High-5.
