(5) MCALLAN got started up too late last time but he still produced a very nice closing effort. Moving to the middle of the gate should help him get off to a better start here; top call. (8) GRINDER is hard to fault bringing a perfect record to town and he’s on my Pick 5 ticket, (6) ACE BI keeps McClure here after they teamed up to requalify quickly for this. He’s not out of it. (2) NORTHERN ROYALE should improve with the move to an inside post; using underneath.
Race 2 – Two Year Old Fillies
The two best ones in here are lined up on the far outside and are in between $73K Gold events, so it’s not entirely predictable to figure out what trip they’ll get, but, (9) SHEER ENERGY and (10) SHE ROCKS KEMP should battle it out for the win here if they are both put inti the race. (1) DUBAI PRINCESS qualified well for a top outfit who interestingly have listed Drew Monti on a few horses tonight. I’ll toss this debutante on my Pick 5 ticket. (3) SHES KADABRA COOL can improve here and perhaps round out the Super.
Race 3 – NW5 (F&M7) or $90,000 LT (F&M $105,000)
(6) HEY LIVVY is all-or-nothing with her gait issues and I seem to always guess wrong with her, but the current pattern suggests that tonight she stays flat and goes down the road. (3) BIZET faces easier after popping and stopping last time. If the choice runs at the start, this gelding could inherit the lead and go a long way. (2) TAX SAVINGS continues to race well, and he is another who could benefit if the choice has any issues. (1) CINDY LYNN faces tougher coming off a tripped-out win; small share predicted.
Race 4 – OSS 3YO Fillies Grassroots Starters in 2019 - **GTD $50K Pick 4**
(9) SPLURGE ON ME squandered a probable win with a break in stride at Clinton. Getting back to the big track should be better for her; top call. (5) HALO ITS ME is an obvious threat, but she seems to save her best for Grassroots races; your call. (2) WITCHES N ANGELS beat a weak Grassroots group last time. I’ll use her underneath this time. (1) REBELLIOUS LADY has a similar profile to the one above and is another that I’ll use in the 3-4 slot of the Super.
Race 5 – F&M 4YO and Younger NW1 or $8,600 LT
(6) POSTMODERNISM produced a good late kick for owner/driver McClure Friday night, and he swings her right back into action here in a winnable spot. She may get hammered at the windows, but I expect a big effort. (8) BETSEA passed them all at Georgian after starting from the worst post – a feat rarely achieved – and she’s on my tickets tonight. (4) AFFLUENT SEELSTER is the obvious “form” horse but she has already failed as chalk in 3 of 4 starts; your call. (1) DRESS TO THE NINES figures to get a small slice again.

Race 6 – Two Year Olds
(6) LOVEDBYTHEMASSES has been visually impressive in both of his wins and the second-place finisher from his last victory has already come back to win; call to threepeat. (4) SCAMP is obvious dropping out of Gold races and he is a Pick 4 must-use. (9) TOCCOA FALLS was sharp winning in debut and his 28 1/5 kicker suggests there is some talent there; using. (5) HALL IT OFF is worth a look for the Super making his first start for top connections.
Race 7 – 4YO and Younger Nw1 or $7,000 (F&M $8,800) LT
In a wide-open race, I’ll side with (4) SHE MUST BE MAGIC on the barn change to trainer Boyd. (2) ROYAL RHYTHM is 0 for 18 but she may never get a better chance to graduate than this; using. (9) ANGEL MAGIC didn’t show much as the chalk last time but in this field, she can contend for at least a slice. (8) SOUTHWIND SYLVESTR gets driver Macdonell back here and they combined to finish second two starts back. He’s not impossible here.
Race 8 – 5YO and Younger NW1 or $10,500 LT
(4) READY TO RUMBLE N raced okay in his first start since shipping overseas and I expect to see improvement here; slight nod. (6) CASEYS DRAGON was good last week as well and he finished ahead of the choice. He may be the one to beat here. (8) SIDE HILL GOUGER is by a top sire and out of an iron-tough mare. He’s worth tossing in the exotic mix on debut here. (2) MARCUS SEELSTER should get a good trip here and work his way onto the Tri or Super.
Race 9 – Two Year Olds
(2) YOUR STILL UP was an easy winner last time he was in this type of class three starts back and he will take beating here. (3) MAGIC BOB woke up when he dropped to the Grassroots level and he should be the main danger here. (8) SIMSALABIM raced tough on the rim and he picked up teamster Jamieson at scratch time. He can get a piece of this. (5) I GOT THE LOOKS had a nice debut race and he should be coming late again; using underneath.
Race 10 – NW $3,000 L5 or $7,000 L10
(1) HETTIES COMMANDER trots sub-29 kickers every week and he never gets bet. Saftic has always driven him best and he returns here; price play. (2) CANTABERNET has yet to visit the winner’s circle this year but he could trip out here starting from the inside. (7) STORMONT CHARLOTTE is capable of better. (4) KENDRAS COCO should be a pace threat in this spot but she rarely lasts. Maybe she’ll show it here on the class drop. (6) MAGIC NIGHT is a good one to use in the 3-4-5- slots in this spot.
