Race 1
(2) CABERTOSS comes to play every week and last time may have been compromised by the winner early in the stretch, although there was no inquiry. His luck is due to change. (3) HEAD TURNING JAG is on a roll and likely to keep producing good efforts as long as he keeps his previous gait issues at bay; using. (7) MIGHTY NICKY figures on the class drop and is another I'll use in this Pick 5. (5) ABSOLUT SEELSTER should be a speed threat here and he's another that's in with a chance in this contentious opener.
Race 2
(6) LISVINNIE has hit the top of his form and he has some options here starting from the outer post in a short field; top call. (4) REIKI can land in the pocket here if he blasts and that makes him a contender. (2) DEEPFAVE HANOVER converted off a pocket trip last time, but I'll use this infrequent winner underneath here. (1) NEEDLECREST should be closing late to take a smaller slice vs. these.
Race 3
(7) OH SO PINE was clear 2nd in the fastest local trotting qualifier to date and he merits top call here. His stablemate (8) YES finished strongly in his June 9th qualifier and I'll use him in the Pick 5. (2) RADICAL ROY - a $20K Lexington buy - is a 1/2-brother to 1:56 trotter Radical Road. He's worth a look here off an even qualifier. (1) LOOK AT PETE finished in 29 4/5 despite giving up the lead. He can improve off that start.
Race 4
(3) RUN DIRECTOR raced decently in Grand Circuit company and he should have no trouble here if he stays flat. (2) SMOKEE MIRRORS had a useful tightener for this last week and he can be a threat here racing close up. (9) TINAS MAJESTY raced okay against a winner that was taking his third straight and he can close late to hit the ticket at a price here. (6) MAJESTIC FIRE is improving and is another one that can pass some of these late.
Race 5
(2) CAMMANDER RUFF predictably got roughed up last week, but he moves inside here and faces easier, so he gets my top call. (3) ISLAND ENERGETIC comes off a very good try and he merits respect in this field. (1) MACH MESSIER was contentious in the same race the top two exit and that was a much better try. He's in with a chance here. (9) APOCOLYPS SEELSTER had a brutal trip last week but post is his enemy here; tab for next week.
Race 6
(4) WINNING AMERICAN lost one of these races by an inch three starts back, so you know he's capable and his price should be good here. (2) JULA DOWNTON took a new life's mark in one of these OSS Gold's two back; using. (7) STORMONT VENTOR was a surprising 2nd to Wolfgang in the Goodtimes, but he's sure to get over bet now and I'm not sure he is any better than the top two who should bring better prices. (1) JOEY BATS is good for a share racing close up here.
Race 7
(5) R FIRST CLASS drops off two solid efforts in the top class. He should handle this group. (3) CATCH THE DREAM trotted a 26 3/5 third 1/4 last week as he couldn't fish out any cover. He can be right there with a better trip. (3) FREE WILLY HANOVER trotted his back 1/2 in 53 3/5 if the chart is accurate and he is razor-sharp right now and a contender here. (2) ON A SUNNY DAY was decent in her comeback. She's worth a look for the exotics here.
Race 8
(8) E R RHONDA continues to race well, and she will likely attract another claim here; top call. (6) JORDIES HOPE races off the claim for a sharp barn and she may be the only real threat to the choice here. (4) QUEENOFTHEJUNGLE can close for a share in this field. (7) HP PANDORA is racing well, but she will need to solve the ones above to get the job done and she hasn't been able to do that yet; small share predicted.
Race 9
(6) DUNBAR HALL has developed into one of the best older trotters and although he's missed some time coming into this race, that's never bothered him in the past, so he gets the nod. (3) DANCER HALL is another who has developed rapidly into a very good racehorse and he should be right there again. (5) EMOTICON HANOVER faces the boys here is a race that may be on her schedule to keep her sharp for an upcoming stakes engagement; small share predicted. (2) WARAWEE ROO set the pace for a sub 1:52 mile and hung in there well, but required some McClure finessing late in the mile; smaller share predicted here.
Race 10
(8) WHISKEY TAX drops and he should get put into play off the gate here. He can take these all the way on the lead. (2) B YOYO was beaten by a rival that he provided perfect cover to and that was a very good effort. I'll use him in the Pick 4 here. (4) MAJESTIC PRESENCE drops out of the Grand Circuit and she's worth a look here, but this isn't a really easy spot for her. (1) MYSTICAL MISSION is in the mix here even with the class rise and he can make the ticket. (3) CLOUD NINE HANOVER usually lands on the fringes in this class and he should land on the High-5 ticket somewhere.
