Race 1
(1) ERAMOSA MAGIC lands in a field where she should be competitive if she can stay trotting this time; slight nod. (8) BRIARWOOD BELLE rolled by late last week after a few of her rivals broke, but this is a smaller field and she should be able to get into contention early enough to mount a challenge. (7) DANCE HALL BABE should be prominent from the start if she stays trotting. (4) NIFTY TRICK keeps taking shares and she'll win one soon when everything falls her way.
Race 2
(2) GREAT TUNE faces a much easier class of claimers here in his first start for a new barn and he should be a big threat racing on or near the lead. (4) JDCYRIL is on a roll with McNair and he's hard to leave out in this small field. (6) REAL WILLEY drops adds Lasix and gets A Mac back. He should be heard from late. (1) CAPTAIN DRAGON returns quickly and faces easier. He should take at least a share.
Race 3
(7) ST JAMES GATE came up with a lifetime-best performance last week and I'll stick with him here stepping up a level. (6) FOR A DREAMER is in terrific form and he's hard to leave out at this point. (2) ODDS ON AMETHYST should get a better trip here which puts him in contention. (8) DIA MONDE should last longer facing easier here; consider for exotics.
Race 4
(5) COMPANY MAN looked the winner the whole way last week and when he got the room he needed, there was no doubt he was winning; call to repeat. (3) CAJUN THOMAS steps up, but he is razor-sharp and worth a long look racing off the claim. (7) NOW WHAT HANOVER is another who was recently claimed that figures to be in the mix here. (9) LISVINNIE is as game as they come, but this is a tough spot for him; small share predicted.
Race 5
(8) PRINCESS ABIE W uncorked a huge mile racing against maidens three starts back then raced okay in both Grassroots starts. She can beat these if she gets put into the race early enough. (6) COSETTE watched the winner roll by her and the rest of the field late in the lane last time, but that was a sharp effort and she is a top contender here. (5) I SHADOW U is capable when she produces her best, but it's hard to predict if that will be in the offing from week-to-week with her. (1) INTREPID LADY should take at least a small share starting from the inside here.
Race 6
Class-droppers (5) ON A SUNNY DAY and (8) B YOYO should fight it out here. Slight preference to the former who has a higher win percentage. (1) IL SOGNO DREAM could get sent on a speed mission here which would make him dangerous. (4) CATCH THE DREAM steps up off a win and he likely closes belatedly here.
Race 7
(6) UNPRECEDENTED motored home last week but he was too far back as the pace picked up. I expect a more aggressive steer here. (5) UPTOWN FUNK chased a big chalk home in vain last week but that was a good try and he should be in the thick of the battle here. (4) MYSTERY PHIL was first up racing with broken equipment last week and he can improve here with a better trip. (3) SOMEHOWSOMEDAY is worth a look for the exotics shipping in off a sharp win and getting McNair.
Race 8
(7) APRIL ROSE dropped and popped and trotted a quick mile for a hot barn; call to repeat. (10) MUSICAL RHYTHM drops into his easiest spot in a long time and he's a must-use for me, even from post 10. (8) BUZZ has an excellent record this year. He can take a share racing close up here. (1) CUE HALL is worth a look shipping back in. He has done well at this track in the past.
Race 9
(4) J J MYSTIC STORM took the worst of it last week and still stayed to hit the board. A better trip can get him a win here. (6) REGIL TIGER has recaptured his best form and although he got a good trip last week, he still powered home in 27 4/5 to win; using. (5) LEVY TAYLORE moves to the middle of the gate and he should get a much better trip here. I'll toss him in the late Pick 4. (7) SINGHAMPTON KENNY drops and he isn't out of this although he seems more likely to finish on the edges.
Race 10
(9) ON THE SLY looks as good as any here and with him stepping up off two losses and starting from the outside, his price should be good. (2) JANGONE is no doubt capable vs. these and she's another that could go off as an overlay here; using. (8) PARKHILL NONSTOP beat the choice last time when he was gifted an easy opening half. He isn't out of this, however. (3) JUSTASMALLTOWNGIRL rarely wins, but she figures to share vs. these. (10) MUSCLE MATTERS is a classy old gelding who could crash the exotics at a price.
