Woodbine Mohawk Park: True Blue Lindy bests foes in Dream Maker Series

True Blue Lindy found the wire first in Monday night's second leg of the Dream Maker Series at Woodbine Mohawk Park. A compact group of six 2-year-old pacers took to the track for the final C$20,000 preliminary leg of the three-week series. Round one winner Many Moons did not participate this week, opening the door for a new winner.
True Blue Lindy lived up to the public's strong support, leapfrogging to the lead in the second quarter and pacing away to a 1:54 score for driver Jody Jamieson and trainer Carl Jamieson. The son of Always B Miki got comfortable fractions of 57 3/5 and 1:27 before scooting home in 27 seconds. Nautical Hanover unleashed a wicked final quarter of 26 3/5, but ran out of a real estate in a bid to nail the winner at the wire, coming up half a length short.
Atlas Hanover finished third, while True Blue Lindy's Jamieson stablemate Mikalob Ultra crossed the line fourth.
