Race 1
(1) PRINCESS LAYLA was good against a repeat winner last week in her fist try after requalifying. She should be tough here with that start under her belt. (7) WESTBEACH beat easier, but she did it convincingly and she merits Pick 5 inclusion. (8) DOCS DARLIN failed as the chalk but she could rebound here with a different trip. (10) TWIN B TIPSTER has the look of a contender, but from out there I'll only use underneath.
Race 2
(7) TRIX AND STONES' race two back is good enough to beat these, but there is some obvious risk backing this rookie vs. elders with the number of breaks he shows. Let price be your guide. (5) CHIEF JUSTICE certainly has license to win this based on recent form, but his 0 for 18 record doesn't get the heart racing, either. (2) JOHNNY BRAVO stalled first-up chasing solid fractions. He'll get there one night soon. (4) HAY DARLENE can close for a share if she stays on gait.
Race 3
(7) FORBIDDEN TRADE is obviously the best one in here, the only concern being that he may have to pass them all to win. (1) ENCARNACION is a $43K London sale buy who is a full brother to the good local colt Joey Bats. Trainer Reid main have him ready here; using. (2) COOL CLIFFORD and (3) FINGALS WAVE are both worth a look exiting Grand Circuit races.
Race 4
(3) MACS POWER has been facing a steady diet of top colts recently and he should find this field much more to his liking; top call. (2) PRESTIGE SEELSTER also faced easier and he could provide a challenge to the choice here. (4) FAST N FIRST has hit his best stride recently and he isn't out of this, but he may find the two choices too tough. (1) PERKINS was carefully driven to win last time and he too may find some of these a bit too tough.
Race 5
(9) DIA MONDE drew in at scratch time and he will likely look to control this off the big class drop; top call. (7) MEADOWBRANCH MEMO moves in a couple of slots and lands in a field where there are plenty of hard leavers to set up his late kick; top call. (10) CASH FOR GOLD takes a big drop but he's far from a lock starting from out there. (5) FORK is interesting here moving into the Steacy barn. I'll use him underneath.
Race 6
(9) I SHADOW U was totally blocked with pace for the entire back 1/2 last time at Flamboro. She should be live here and will likely get overlooked from out there; upset special. (6) BIDFORAHUG hung a bit in the lane last time, but she's still viable in this field; using. (1) AMBERS SHADOW comes off a good try at long odds and she can contend here and hit the ticket. (3) WINDSONG OLYMPIA is another one who is always around the money that is good to use underneath.
Race 7
(1) RENEGADE MAGIC couldn't catch the classy PL JILL last time, but there are none as good as her in here and she gets top call. (10) MAJESTIC KAT brings good form with her from Ottawa and she's won several times on this circuit before; using at a price. (5) BELLA PALAZZO moves up, but she looked good winning here last week; consider. (9) MAJOR MUSCLE also steps up off a nice win and she can hit the ticket despite her post.
Race 8
(2) EX HANOVER raced decently in Grand Circuit company, so she should be right there vs. non-winners of two; top call. (4) ALONA moves in several slots after racing very well from the worst post and she can threaten here. (3) EXS AND OHS rarely wins but she is usually in the thick of things and she has been leaving hard lately, so she should be considered for the exotics here. (8) MAGICAL LADY takes a big drop and she could take these a long way if she fires off the gate.
Race 9
(9) ROCKY J SQUIRREL was a game winner from a bad post at Northfield and he should be tough here if he gets put into the race. (8) DRAMATIC POINT was much improved with Lasix added last week. He should be a big threat right back. (4) SPORTS LEGEND takes slices close to 50 percent of the time and he can hit the ticket vs. these. (7) REAL WILLEY is probably facing mostly easier here. He can share.
Race 10
(5) HETTIES COMMANDER moves in a few slots and he may control this race like he did two starts back; slight nod in a wide-open race. (1) GREAT MAGIC doesn't win often, but he could get a golden trip near the front here and his price should be good; using. (2) AMOREUSE HANOVER is another who can leave that could trip-out in this spot; using. (10) GISELE TREELANE came alive last time, but this post likely relegates her to a smaller share.
Race 11
(8) EVERYONE HANOVER was in a tough spot last week, but these are easier, and Macdonald takes the return drive; slight nod. (1) WESTSLUCKY TERROR was sharp taking a new life's mark last week for hot driver Jamieson; using. (5) RONS EOM was good last week, but never threatened the winner. He can take a share here. (2) ROYAL COURTIER hits the board regularly and he's a good one to use underneath. (9) FOOT SOLDIER faces easier and he may be a speed threat here.
