(3) WARRAWEE VICKY is the only winner in the field and the fastest trotter in here so far. She gets top call here. (1) WYND CREEK is by a top sire and her June 27th qualifier was good; using. (4) CANADIAN TITAN is sent out by a barn that has been winning at a scorching rate with their rookies. I’ll use her in the Pick 5. (6) ALEXA BLUE CHIP was well back of the choice last time but with a race under her belt she could take a smaller share here.
Race 2 – 4YO and Younger NW1 or $7K LT
(6) WHILE YOUR UP showed some late interest vs. much better and I’ll give him a slight nod here in a race with many possibilities. (2) LOVE WARRIOR trotted her back 1/2 in 55 3/5 last time, so you know she has some ability. She should take some action here and contend. (7) WINDSONG PATRIOT exits the same race as the choice and he should improve here. (9) PRICELESS RULER gets a barn change here and he trotted a big qualifying mile on June 29th. He could surprise if sent hard off the gate.
Race 3 – CLM HDCP $15K to $18K for NW $77K LT
(6) FAMILY SPORTS comes back quickly after setting some big early fractions then tiring late. In this short field he should be able to clear early which can make all the difference. (3) L WEATHER B moves inside finally, and these are the types that Roy will change tactics with. He’d be very dangerous here if he were riding the choice’s pocket all the way. (4) LEADER TONIGHT was flying late in an improved performance last time; using underneath. (1) MATTS TUITION can sit a trip and take a share here.
Race 4 – Ontario Sired 3YO Grassroots Starters in 2019, NW $25K in 2018 – GTD $50K Pick 4
(2) CLIFFHANGER was worn down last time by a sharp rival, but it was another good effort and he gets the nod here. (8) STONEBRIDGE SURF made several moves in a race won by a colt that’s on a big roil. He is a dangerous foe here. (6) OK KUDO woke up last week but the top two are tougher. He’ll have to show me he is that good. (4) THE FIRST STEP should be closing for a smaller share.
Race 5 – OSS Gold 2YO Colts and Geldings
(3) CROSSFIT MOUSE is well-bred and looks ready to produce at first asking; top call. (8) THREEFIFTYTWO brings two winning qualifiers north and he is another in with a good chance here. (4) HOT WHEELZ is by a promising young sire and he too looks ready for a good debut in what looks like a contentious race. (6) TYMAL TAROT is worth a look for the exotics.
Race 6 – CLM $15K for NW $45K LT
(1) STELIOS was game in defeat and kept trying right to the wire last week. He’s the one to beat here. (7) MAINTENANCE MAN wasn’t far from bottoming out the field. Any breather here makes him very dangerous. (2) KINGOFBROKENHEARTS should be coming on late to take a share. (3) MOSSIES ART finished right with the choice last time in an improved race and he could upset with the right trip here.
Race 7 – OSS GOLD 2yo Colts and Geldings – Late Pick 4
(4) HETALKSTOANGELS showed what he could do in his first qualifier then the June 22nd trial race was like maintenance work. He gets the nod here. (8) BLUE CUPERTINO has two nice qualifiers for Team McNair; using. (5) MAGICS WIARD flashed nice late speed in his lone qualifier; using. (7) SCAMP is yet another in with a shot in a race full of chances.
Race 8 – Two Year Olds
(1) INTENSE JUSTICE trotted a very fast back 1/2 in his lone qualifier, and he looks ready; top call. (4) SHE ROCKS KEMP is by a top sire out of a dam of a top sire and worth a look at first asking (6) YEN trotted a big back 1/2 in his only qualifier; exotics look. (2) IRREVERENT LADY gets a better post here and she could be heard from.
Race 9 – 2YO Fillies
(3) CAPTAIN NASH looked good at the end of the mile last week and there should be plenty of pace to chase here; top call. (5) MISSILE SEELSTER raced tough from the worst post now he draws better, and he is a logical contender. (7) LYONS COPPERTOP was right there in a fast mile. I’ll use him here. (4) SILVER BEAST also raced better last week, and he should contend for at least a share.
Race 10 – OSS Grassroots Starters in 2019 NW $15K in 2019
(5) D GS DE VITO paced a 53 1/5 back 1/2 in his first race over the Mohawk Park surface and he gets the nod in a wide-open finale. (4) CARLISMO was a solid third to two tough rivals and he rates a long look here. (7) ARCANE SEELSTER improved last week in a Grassroots race. I’ll use him here. (9) LOUD SPLASH should be passing a few horses late; using underneath. (3) SHADOW OF A DAUT is another who can come on late for a share.
