Race 1
(3) SHARKS SUMMRSHANDY paced what was by far the best mile of her life six days ago when debuting out of the Johnson barn. She gets my nod to finally break her maiden here. (6) PARISIAN BLUE CHIP raced well when coming off a vet scratch two weeks ago and she merits a long look here. (1) HEY SWEETIE is turning into a bit of a money burner, but she does look like a contender in this field. (8) SCOTIANNANCYDIANE can pass a few of these late and hit the Superfecta ticket.
Race 2
(2) WHITE TIGER to date is the fastest rookie trotter in the land in any type of race. Enough said; top call. (6) JUDGE KEN was a good second to a dominant winner last time and he holds an experience edge on the choice; using. (4) SPLURGE ON ME debuts for trainer McIntosh, who had the first two finishers in the first two-year-old trot race of the season last week; beware. (1) SCREAMING HAWK - stablemate of the choice - has improved recently, but post one may not be best for him; mixed feelings on this one.
Race 3
(3) REVIVAL CARDS made two moves to win her June 22nd qualifier and she looks fastest in here right now. (5) BESTSELLER HANOVER - a $130K Harrisburg buy - is a 1/2-sister to 1:50 3/5 pacer Chip Walther. She looks like the main threat. (1) MACHLIKEANEGYPTIAN - a $60K Harrisburg purchase - goes for a barn that sends them ready and she wouldn't be a shock in here. (4) PRINCESS SARITA looks next best; use underneath.
Race 4
(10) SNEEKER HANOVER left well then took a bad shuffle last time. In a race where seemingly anything goes, I'll go bomb hunting with this filly. (6) IMF gets a significant driver change here and she may go off chalk. I'll use her and several others in the multi-race bets. (2) WILL CAN GO is capable if he stays flat. (7) YOSEMITE EMMETT is a full-brother to 1:51 2/5 trotter Windsun Revenge and his June 19th qualifier was okay; using.
Race 5
(1) SPICY TALKER paced a strong final 1/4 against a sharp winner last time and he lands in a good spot here; top call. (5) MIGHTY MACH comes off a good win at Kawartha where the final fraction was very strong; using. (7) STOLEN ART drops back from non-winners of two and he looks like a player in this field. (3) EASY WRITER was decent here last week and he can grab another share in this field.
Race 6
(4) STORMONT CHARLOTTE almost upended a big chalk last time in what was her best mile to date. I'll give her top call here. (7) JACKIE NEWLANDS races in between sires stakes engagements here which could mean a conservative steer is coming, but she fits and she is dangerous if she's close turning for home. (2) MAGICS LUCKY CHARM can hit the board this time if she gets a better start. (5) MILLERS SONG gets Waples here following a decent first-over try last time and she has upset possibilities.
Race 7
(9) CAFE SOCIETY will be tough here if she can repeat her June 22nd qualifier. You know with JD in the bike, she should be sent. (1) CLEARLY BETTER was a narrow loser to the choice that day and gets a better post here. I'll use both equally in the Pick 4s. (3) SHESONEHOTWRITER dropped three seconds in her second qualifier; use underneath. (2) MACH THIS DAY is a 1/2-sister to several winners and she likely has more to offer than what you see on the program page.
Race 8
(1) WHAT CHAPTER has developed an excellent late kick and he should beat a few of these off the gate; call to repeat. (6) CANTABERNET was two strides short of winning last time. He should be a big threat here. (5) VEYRON was nailed very late by the choice but he needs a faster last 1/4 to close the gap. (9) VENUS DUHARAS should set the early pace and stick around for a slice.
Race 9
(7) CROSS MY MIND was like a new horse last time despite missing close to a month. I'll stick with him. (2) BACKSTREET SHADOW is obviously very talented, but he has missed more than five weeks now and might have a bit of rust in this spot. (1) PHIL THE THRILL continues to race well and he should get a piece of this. (5) REAL WILLEY got into a jackpot in the lane last week and he was stopped cold several times. He could better this placing with some better racing luck.
Race 10
(2) MYBROTHERGEORGE is one I'll stab at off the Marfisi claim in a race where I can't seem to form a strong opinion. (4) LATE NIGHT could get a good trip near the front and surprise here. (8) NOTETOSELF HANOVER is worth a look off his sharp win two back. (9) PRINCE GIOVANNI can do better here working off cover. (1) GRANDE SEELSTER is another in with a chance in a race where the All button isn't a bad option.
