Race 1
(6) SVENSSON was on the worst part of the track last week and he had no answer when the pocket-sitter pulled on him. With that rival gone, he gets top billing. (3) SEVERUS HANOVER popped and stopped. He should last longer in a claimer here. (8) EXPLOSIVE JET drops and she won last time she raced at this level; using. (2) BOP TOO THE TOP is a good one to use underneath.
Race 2
(4) KINGOFBROKENHEARTS was sent to the front in a second 1/4 that he paced in 27 2/5 last week and that exertion took its toll late. A more balanced approach can get the job done. (3) CAPTAIN AMERICA is logical moving inside off a good effort. (2) UBER HANOVER gets away from the hot Tragically Zip and he projects to get a good trip near the front. He's not out of this. (5) BOOTS N BRIAN is capable of better if he can stay flat this time; using underneath.
Race 3
(4) ENCARNACION was unyielding on the engine on a night that overall wasn't kind to leaders; call to repeat. (9) SOUTHWIND CASSA was an impressive debut winner and she should contend again, despite her post. (2) ERAMOSA MAGIC can close again for a slice. (8) TRAVEL WINNER should find a spot near the front early and he is likely stick around to hit the Super.
Race 4
(5) KICKIN COWGIRL is related to several good performers and she looks ready to produce at first asking. (6) LANESIDE SPORTSGRL appeared to lack room in the lane in her debut and she can build off that decent opener. (7) LADY FINETUNE improved sharply in her seasonal debut and she is another in with a shot. (2) CEILIURADH qualified well enough to make her a contender for at least a share.
Race 5
(2) GAMBLINGTERROR took lots of action last week but was shuffled out of the race. Perhaps with that tightener in tow, he gets a more aggressive steer now. (8) CAPTAIN KOINE disappointed as the choice but he's another who should be sharper now. (6) SPORTSCAM should be good for at least a small share. (5) BIG BULLY keeps burning money and I'll play to beat him in this spot.
Race 6
(7) KNOPFLER was second again to another impressive winner and I'll give him another chance here. (8) CHICA went a long mile and hung in gamely in her debut. If she can get cover early this time, she should be right there. (9) MISSYS MAGIC MAN showed promise last year and she looks ready to be competitive right away here; consider for exotics. (3) TITANIUM SEELSTER is 2 for 2 and the driver isn't afraid to send one. He is another who could do in this wide-open dash.
Race 7
(3) TRAGICALLY ZIP goes for Moreau off the claim here and he gets protected in a spot where he should be very tough. (2) J M MANDAMIN was flying late after being held up and he looks like the main threat. (6) SOMEWHERE BETTOR backed up as many early leaders did last Thursday. He's in with a shot here at a price. (8) LUCKY LEVIS was sharp winning his debut but this is tougher, and a small share is likely.
Race 8
(3) BETTOR MOVE OVER finds a great spot to make her sophomore debut and I'll single her in this late Pick 4. (2) FRISKY BEAVER timed her move perfectly last week to break her maiden, but she'll need more speed to challenge the choice. (8) GOODNIGHT IRENE was picked off very late. She can take another share here. (4) MACHARITA remarkably has taken 28 shares in 43 races and no wins. Look for more of the same here.
Race 9
(5) OH K MAN should get the setup he needs here and dropping a level helps, too; top call. (7) MY TEEN IDOL is another who drops and should be flying late. (6) ROCKY J SQUIRREL and (3) ASTERISM may cancel each other out early here as both may want the front. I'll use these two only underneath in this spot.
Race 10
(3) UF BETTORS HANOVER should go much better here staring from the inside; slight nod. (2) SHADOW OF LINDY took heavy action, but he couldn't close the deal. He should be in the mix again. (4) NOAHS MILL brings good form in from Flamboro and he picks up driver Roy; using. (5) FAE OF WAR couldn't reach a runaway leader last time. He can pose a threat again here and win with the right trip. (1) SURPRISE HANOVER is a good one to use on the bottom of Supers.
