Race 1 – 4YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 LT - **GTD $75,000 Pick 5**
(7) CANTFINDABETTORMAN's 26 2/5 kicker sticks out here and I imagine Hudon will put him into this race earlier; graduation night. (9) RAIN MAN BLUE CHIP raced well vs. a tough colt and he is clearly improved over last year; using. (2) MODERN ROCK should improve in this second start and he draws much better. He's another Pick 5 possibility. (5) GRAND AVE LEGEND qualified well enough to suggest he should be a factor at first asking.
Race 2- 4YO and Younger NW2 or $21,500 LT
(5) BEYOND BETTOR has looked the part of a nice colt while winning his first two starts and a threepeat looms here. (7) RESOUNDING comes off a solid win, but the choice was a full second faster on the same night; using underneath. (4) BOOS LITTLE JIM closes well, but from too far back many times. The short field could help get him in the Tri here. (1) DADDY DEVITO should be along for another small share.
Race 3 – CLM $15,000 for NW $60,000 LT
(7) GUCCIOS OFFICE had broken equipment last week when hung the mile. Put a line through that start; top call. (10) SUMSECRET may last longer here if he makes one move to the front on the backside; using. (1) JOHNNYS REVENGE is worth a look dropping into a claimer where he fits better. (3) TUXEDO will likely show early speed again. I prefer to use him underneath.
Race 4 – CLM $15,000 for NW $39,000 LT - Pick 4
(4) BEACH BABY BEE was dynamite last week when taking a new life's mark; call to repeat. (5) FARMERS TAN drops from a claiming handicap to a conditioned claimer, which makes him a player here. (2) RIOT was third to a very nice conditioned colt last time and he merits a look dropping back in for a tag. (7) ARCANE SEELSTER will likely show speed again then hang around for a smaller share.
Race 5 - CLM HDCP $15,000 to $18,000
(7) QUAN BLUE CHIP is on a roll and he goes for Moreau off the claim here and gets top call. (6) LEGAL BETTOR also races off the fresh Moreau claim and he is likely to be the better price option; using. (3) STATE OF PLAY could get a good setup here if some of the outside horses hook up early; consider for multi-race tickets. (8) LEADER TONIGHT is sharp but the outside post likely dooms him to a smaller share here.
Race 6 - CLM HDCP $20,000 to $25,000
(4) KINGOFTHEJUNGLE raced okay vs. better last week. He could go right down the road here. (1) CASIMIR RUMRUNNER was good last week racing off the claim and he looks like the main threat to the choice. (3) P L IDAHO is over bet frequently. He figures for part of this. I'll limit my use to underneath. (2) EASY FLYER showed nothing vs. better last time. He should improve here and beat a few of these.
Race 7 - NW $3,000 L5 or $7,000 L10 – Pick 4
(1) MR CONTESTANT drops and likely pops vs. this field. (3) MUSICAL SPELL has been known to hit the ticket at big odds at this level occasionally and moving inside here gives him a chance to do just that. (7) GRACEFUL’S qualifiers are decent and she is fresh; consider for the exotics. (2) SONOFAMILLIONAIRE comes off his best effort in a while and he should be on the Superfecta ticket.
Race 8 – F&M 4YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 LT
This is a good spot for a debut winner and (1) DANDY IDEA gets the call for top connections. (8) SOUTHWIND MYRTLE showed some ability last year and she fits well here; using. (9) CLASSICA comes off a big trip at Pompano Park and she is worth a look despite drawing widest. (5) BEACH BOUTIQUE raced better last week, and she can take a slice here.
Race 9 – 5YO and Younger NW2 or $39,000 LT
Can anyone stop (7) DARTH FADER in this spot? It’s doubtful and he gets the nod over (1) SIZE ME UP, who may give him a run for his money if he is close enough at the head of the lane. (5) BERNIE, 2nd to the choice last time, figures to be part of a chalky Tri here. (3) BANKROLL was a decent 3rd to the choice last time and he should be in the money again vs. these.
Race 10 – CLM HDCP $10,000 to $12,000
(4) BUDDHA BLUE CHIP drops following a failed first-over try and his price should be good here; top call. (1) NO TIME AT ALL has a similar scenario although he will likely get bet heavier; using in the late multis. (9) CASIMIR OVERDRIVE is always in the mix from any post and he’s hard to toss in this spot. (3) ST LADS CASH has a better chance here starting with his nose on the gate and he is another possibility in a race where it makes sense to spread. (7) DABUNKA should show speed here again but probably only last for a slice.
