Race 1 - F&M 4YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 LT - **GTD $75,000 Pick 5**
(10) UPTOWN CALLIE powered home into the teeth of an accelerating late pace to almost score a big upset in her debut. That was a solid try and she should be hard to hold off here. (1) POWERED BY MACH stayed in and finished with pace in that same race and she can improve here. (6) LA BELLE REBELLA had things all her own way on the engine but she couldn't seal the deal. I'll use her underneath here. (3) BOTTLE OF RED is worth a look for the exotics making her seasonal debut off a decent qualifier.
Race 2 - CLM HDCP $15,000 to $18,000
(7) SPEED TO MARKET has looked good in both starts for trainer Auciello and he will likely control this race from the outset; call to repeat. (6) LEGAL BETTOR figures to be racing out of the choice's pocket and he is the main danger. (4) MACKTWOWILLDEW will probably improve off the Shepherd claim, but I'm not sure it will be enough to crack the Exacta; using on the bottom. (2) CROCADILE CANYON makes his second start since Moreau claimed on February 13th and he's not out of this but I prefer to use underneath in this spot.
Race 3 – 5YO and Younger NW2 or $25,000 LT
(4) SIZE ME UP gets away from the hot Darth Fader here which should give him a decent chance in this spot. (7) OHARE HANOVER was razor-sharp beating maidens last week and if he repeats that effort, he can be right there vs. these. (1) DYLANS BANK projects to get a much better trip here starting with his nose on the gate; using. (8) BOOS LITTLE JIM gets a big driver change here and he could add some value to the exotics.
Race 4 – CLM $15,000 for NW $58,000 LT - Pick 4
(8) QUAN BLUE CHIP has a better chance to clear to the front leaving the gate here, so he gets my nod. (6) TOMORROWS HEADLINE also figures to blast here and these two may race 1-2 to the lane then settle it. (10) BEACH BABY BEE raced decently last week and if he can be a bit closer early here, he is in with a shot. (2) FOXTON ROAD is sharp enough to land another share here.
Race 5 – 4YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 LT
(2) HESTHERIGHTSTUFF - a $26,000 Harrisburg buy - is a full-brother to a couple of winners and he qualified well enough to suggest that he is ready for a top effort at first asking. (7) BRUSHCUT was sharp in defeat to a very strong winner last week but he loses driver Roy here; your call. (5) ROCKNROLLS SHADOW is another coming in off a qualifier that looks ready. It makes sense to price shop in this race. (1) JUSTA BANDIT can improve here in his second start with the driver change to McClure; price look.
Race 6 – CLM $15,000 for NW $60,000 LT – Pick 5
(2) GUCCIOS OFFICE was an easy winner here last week with Roy in the bike and there isn't anything in here that looks too scary; call to repeat. (1) SOMBRE was a winner last time he raced in this class and he should be a threat. (4) TUXEDO can improve on the barn change; consider for the exotics. (3) SUMSECRET is another who can sneak onto the ticket dropping in for a tag and picking up Henry.
Race 7 – CLM HDCP $10,000 to $12,000
(8) MISTER GODRO raced decently last week and he was taken by Auciello who continues to do well with new claims; top call. (5) REAL WICKED gets away from Casimir Overdrive and he goes for a new barn that sizzles with fresh claims; the main danger. (4) TOXICITY woke up with a big effort last week and he should pose a threat again, but he might have his hands full with the top two choices. (6) J P OSCAR merits a look for the exotics returning quicker and getting his nose on the gate.
Race 8 – NW $3,000 L5 or $7,100 L10
This is a field that (3) SHADES OF BAY should beat. Maybe Henry blasts him off the gate this time. (4) OLLIESTRIKESFAME gets driver Macdonald back here which means he should be coming on late. (5) MACHIN A TRICK gets a good draw here and he can work his way into the Tri. (7) PAR INTENDED is another who should be passing horses and I'll use him on the bottom of Tris and Supers.
Race 9 - CLM HDCP $15,000 to $18,000 for NW $75,000 LT
(4) ARCANE SEELSTER was sharp in his first start for Moreau and he looks good vs. these; top call. (7) FARMERS TAN is one of several that have outraced their odds for the Goddard barn recently and he could be tough racing on or near the lead here; using. (3) NO TIME AT ALL can get a better result if he avoids racing uncovered here. Give him a look for the Tri. (5) ST LADS CASH is a bit sneaky here because his last line from post 8 at Flamboro is a toss. He can hit the ticket at a price racing close up.
Race 10 – NW $3,000 L5 or $7,000 L10
(2) ODD BALL wasn’t great at odds of 6 to 5 in his comeback race, but he may have needed one and I’ll stick with him here hoping for a better price this time. (6) TAX SAVINGS took a mark of 1:54 here last year and McNair test drove him in his February 20th qualifier. I’ll use him in the late multi-race tickets. (1) CHARLIE IS A JOKER faces what appears to be easier here and he isn’t impossible in this spot. (3) LADY CATERINA should be there early again, but I see her finishing on the bottom of the Super or High-5. (9) HETTIES COMMANDER is a good one to use underneath from any post.
