Race 1
(8) WESTERN PHIL qualified well on a track rated two seconds slow with Roy driving so maybe there is a speed blast coming here; slight nod. (1) HIS BOY ELROY drops to a spot where he should be prominent, and he draws inside; using. (2) SHADOW MARGEAUX was good here Monday night and he seems to be rounding into his best form now. I'll use him too in this Pick 5. (3) NOTETOSELF HANOVER should be good for another slice racing at this level again.
Race 2
(7) ANGRY EYES was sharp and looked good in her lone qualifier. I'll give her a slight nod over (8) TRAVEL WINNER - who was likely best last time but was a victim of trip and pace. (5) HAY DARLENE figures to take another small share as she does frequently. (6) H A HOUSTON has been showing some signs and he could add some value to the Tri or Super here.
Race 3
I liked (3) STROMAN last week, but he never got involved from an outside post. Moving inside should help; slight nod. (7) SUPER FINE CREDIT was a sharp winner at Flamboro in December before heading south. He should be a factor here. (5) SUNFIREWINDRAIN is a homebred that seems to have some ability and this isn't the toughest spot. I'll toss him on my Pick 5 ticket. (1) ASCENDANT made a big third 1/4 move then couldn't last. He may trip better from the inside here.
Race 4
(6) UBER HANOVER ships in with some decent lines and goes for Moreau; top call. (7) LORIS ROCK STAR made two moves against a very tough winner last time. His price will be better here and he's still in with a decent chance. (5) KINGOFBROKENHEARTS can close again for another good share here. (3) TRAGICALLY ZIP drops into a claimer for the first time and he should be passing some horses here as well. I'd use him in the Pick 4 if there are any claims entered.
Race 5
(6) ADVERSITY drops to a logical spot and these are horses that he should handle if he gets a decent trip. (4) KENDRAS COCO should last a long way on the front end if she gets sent here; using. (8) MUSICAL SPELL also drops, and he has been known to blast then sit a perfect pocket trip when leaving from the outside. He could upset with the right trip. (2) PRESQUILLE was close to winning two back when he left from an inside post. He's another who is in with a chance to upset if the pace is strong.
Race 6
(2) DON'T DILLY DALLY moves back inside where he should be able to make better use of his potent late kick. (3) KENNY JOE was hammered at the windows last week and he delivered. He will be well-backed again and he may be the one to beat. (8) SLIM SHADY moves outside, but if he gets sent for position off the gate, he should be right there. (7) SPEED TO MARKET beat up on weaker at London on Monday but this barn has been hot and he's not out of this.
Race 7
(2) IMJUSTTICKETYBOO was first-over a long way providing perfect cover for the winner last week, but she was game in defeat and she gets top call here. (8) SOUTHWIND SPARTAN finally broke through, using the choice's great cover then capitalizing. He should be a threat again. (1) CLUB BELVEDERE is worth a look for a barn that excels with trotters and sends them ready. (7) KUIL DEVA continues to take smaller shares every week; use underneath.
Race 8
(3) BIG BULLY has been unlucky to not break his maiden to this point and he looks best here; top call. (6) BEACH BABY BEE has a similar profile to the choice, but he tries hard every week and he has a good chance here. (2) BIG ROCKY had some pace in the lane last time, and he should be good for at least a share here. (7) FOX VALLEY RIVIERA should be the first leader and he can hang around to land in the Super.
Race 9
(3) ALLISON SEELSTER impressed with a strong first up effort last week; call to repeat. (5) MORNING HAS BROKEN couldn't keep up to the streaking Sunny Dee last time, but she's not in here and this filly rates a strong chance in this field. (2) FLY IN STYLE brushed home quickly to break her maiden and moving inside gives her a chance to start better here; using. (1) CHARMS LITTLE SIS will take action exiting the Blizzard series, but she's missed three weeks and I'll play to beat her in this spot.
Race 10
(1) DAN DAR MAL took action for her debut and she blasted right to the front from her outer post then tired late. She can go much better here from an inner post; top call. (3) HAKIMA - a $25K Harrisburg buy and 1/2-sister to decent local horse Late Night - looks ready based on her lone qualifier. (9) SUNSHINE INN is getting closer and she should be in the mix here. (4) REDHOT N SPORTY and (5) SCOTIANNANCYDIANE are both good to use underneath in Tris, Supers and High-5s.
