Race 1
(6) MEADOWBRANCH PATSY raced tough against a well-regarded winner and this looks like a good spot for her to notch her first Mohawk Park win. (1) NORTHERN GLITZ - one of a pair of two-year-olds in this race - has been good in every start here since shipping in and she should be a threat again. (9) BEAUTY CUTIE was right behind the choice last time and she merits a look here despite drawing the worst post. (2) MAGICS LUCKY CHARM is stuck on one win, but she's made $63K by taking slices almost every week. Expect more of the same here.
Race 2
(3) P L LOUIGI likely won't find a better spot than this to break his maiden. If he stays flat, he should beat this group. (7) FAN THE FLAMES gets J Mac back here as he makes his 23rd attempt at breaking his maiden. He too may never find a better spot. (8) BRYDOWNS HOUSTON has the gate speed to fire out for position and he can hang around for a share. (4) APTITUDE interestingly gets the top driver here and that makes him worth a look.
Race 3
(1) OSIRIS BLUE CHIP took all the money at the windows last week, then he broke before the start. He can make amends here if he stays flat but notice he has had gait issues in the past. (2) CAPTAIN DRAGON is back where he fits, and he should make some noise here. (5) REAL WICKED has been good in both starts since being claimed and this isn't the toughest spot; using. (3) BARN ONE is on the improve and he can share here.
Race 4
In a race with virtually no form, I'll stab with (1) MC PAT who gets Roy back for a second drive here. (7) LIVELY LARRY was better in his second start and he is logical as a contender here. (4) LYONS EXPRESS is a well-related $90K yearling and he wouldn't be a big shock in this spot. He's on my multi-race tickets. (8) TALBOTCREEK DUKE was thwarted behind a slow pace last time and he is another who could take this with the right trip.
Race 5
(9) JENKINS CREEK has really clicked with McClure the past two starts and I'll give the duo the call to extend the win streak to three. (7) SINGHAMPTON KENNY was taken by Auciello Monday night so he's a use for me here if he goes. (5) SANTANA SASS woke up off the Fellows claim and he is another who should be a threat here. (8) TOMY TERROR should be well-placed early and he can stick around for a share.
Race 6
(6) RUSH TO JUDGEMENT was overbet last week for a horse that hadn't raced in 40 days, but now there's reason to expect a much sharper try and he gets top call here in a race that he should win on paper. (3) D M JOHNWICK kicks home quickly most weeks and he has upset potential here leaving from the inside. (2) FASHIONONTHEBEACH is another who returns much quicker here who could improve sharply. (1) INTRIGUED AGAIN is better than he has shown recently, and he may crash the exotics here leaving from the innermost post.
Race 7
(3) POUND STERLING too a lot of action last week, then made two moves in a good effort. He can beat this with a similarly aggressive drive. (2) SOMBRE should go better in this spot if he stays flat; using. (8) JUST MAYBE THE ONE is improving and is another who should be dangerous, the caveat being I can't remember his driver ever winning a race on this circuit. (7) EIGHTOCLOCKSTORM was facing better in Ohio and he could wake up at a price here if he stays trotting.
Race 8
(7) MAJO LOU BEKA was airborne late last week, but just ran out of racetrack. He can win this if better positioned turning for home. (8) UNPRECEDENTED drops into a claimer for the first time and he merits a long look in this field. (3) THROWNOUTOFBETTER has been closing better of late and he can fill out the Tri or Super here. (4) HEATHER LOVES NY leaves conditioned filly company to take on colts and geldings in a claiming handicap. A small share is likely her ceiling here.
Race 9
(8) THINK AGAIN gamely dug in to double up last time when claimed and he stays at the same level here. A threepeat looms. (9) MIDNIGHT MATT is sharp and dangerous, but he isn't likely to be allowed to lead through a 59 middle 1/2 here. (2) BRICKMAN is hard to leave out because he has been right there every week for a while; using. (4) LAUTNER SEELSTER should be closing for some scraps; use underneath.
Race 10
(9) RACEMUP dug deep to repel a big chalk and take a new life's mark while racing on a wet track; call to repeat. (8) DELOREAN SEELSTER flew late to win in this class and McClure sticks. He could be the danger late. (7) SO MUCH BETTOR faces much better here, but that was a sharp effort and he can share here. (6) WYN could be a big price and he could pass many of these in the late stages to land in the Super. (2) AGEDCHEDAR HANOVER is the lone two-year-old in here, but he is racing well enough to get at least a check.
