Race 1
(5) STRENGTH OF A WOMAN was a powerful winner last time and leaving from the middle of the gate, she has a decent chance at a similar trip. She'll be tough to beat with a repeat effort. (2) GLIDER MAN adds Lasix and he has some previous miles that put him right there with these if he stays flat; using. (3) Y C BROADWAY gets his favorite pilot back here and he merits a look off some of his previous lines with The Answer driving. (1) P L KETCHUP shares regularly and he's a good one to use underneath as he should work out a trip to get a share.
Race 2
(2) CHIEF JUSTICE may never find a better spot than this on this circuit to take his first win; picture time? (7) GRIMMIE HANOVER is Grand Circuit-placed and despite facing her elders - and colts - she merits a look here. (3) JMR PINARELLO had a promising debut at 107 to 1 and he's the third one that I'll use in this Pick 5. (5) ROSE RUN UNCLEBUCK shares regularly and he could better this placing with a trip.
Race 3
(4) CAMBRIDGE KATE held it together with trotting hopples added in her latest qualifier. She has a good chance to beat these if she can stay flat. (3) PRESTO CHANGE O is obviously one of the best ones in here, but her gait issues are a concern. (7) BLUE MAGIC bottomed out the field at Flamboro and she may try the same strategy here. Her sure gait is an asset. (1) TOMMI CANU HEARME will be coming late and she is another who can take this contentious dash with the right trip.
Race 4
(3) THE COLONEL comes out of a quick mile in the Maritimes and he's worth a stab in his first Mohawk try. (4) BARN ONE missed a month between starts now comes back quicker and he should be a threat here. (6) WESTSLUCKY TERROR shouldn't get hung out to dry here which makes him dangerous; using. (5) OSIRIS BLUE CHIP isn't impossible in this spot, but it's more likely he'll need one or two before he shows his best.
Race 5
(6) ABUELITA HANOVER couldn't hang on last time, but she had missed close to three weeks then and returns quicker here; top call. (1) TRIPTIK TWO left, took a shuffle, then came on again late. She should be a threat here. (3) SAND ARTIST gets a new trainer here and her qualifiers are decent; consider for exotics. (7) WAR CRIMES is a full-sister to two winners, and she merits a look at first asking here.
Race 6
(8) ALONA was in a tough spot trying to close into an accelerating late pace last week. I'll give her another chance here. (7) IMF beat similar last time and she is one of few in here with solid form. Toss her in the Pick 4. (3) CINDY LYNN finished ahead of the choice last time and she has a post and tactical advantage it appears. She's hard to leave out. (9) MELANIE G had her string of seconds broken last time and she appears to be a fringe player here.
Race 7
(2) ONLY FOR JUSTICE didn't give his opponents a chance to catch their breath at Grand River in an impressive mile; call to repeat. (4) ALL WRAPPED UP woke up with a big mile, but he got away with a soft half. He's a threat but no lock. (5) DREAM NATION is sure-gaited and consistent and hard to leave out of the Pick 4's. (3) ROYAL ROB is usually thereabouts when he stays flat. I'll use him underneath.
Race 8
(5) UNPRECEDENTED goes for trainer Weller here and picks up Henry to drive; expect aggression. (3) SPORTS LEGEND may get overbet coming out of a fast race, but he fits here, and he should be in the mix. (6) KINNDER JACKSON hasn't missed the board all year racing in Quebec, but he's missed close to a month's action; your call. (7) D M JOHNWICK finishes fast every week, he just needs a trip. He's not out of this.
Race 9
(2) HP TITANIA RUNNER was great with trotting hopples added in her qualifier in late September. That equipment change may be just what she needs. (7) ANGIES LUCKYLADY was third to some very good fillies in the Peaceful Way. She must be considered here. (8) TEDDYS LITTLEANGEL has tailed off a bit, but she has some earlier miles that put her right there vs. these if she can recapture that form. (6) PETRO HALL should be a speed threat at a minimum and if she gets a breather, she could be tough to overhaul.
Race 10
(8) FORBIDDEN TRADE trotted a phenomenal mile on the rim to win a Gold at Grand River and he gets my top call off that effort. (1) JUMPSHOT contends on form, but he's missed more than a month which gives pause for concern. (6) KNIGHT ANGEL also trotted a big mile uncovered to win his most recent. He's worth a look here. (5) FINGALS WAVE is usually closing ground late and he can take a piece of this. (7) TYMAL TULLO is usually in the top five; consider using on the bottom of Supers and High-5s.
