Race 1
(5) BEACHES BE CRAZY took a new life's mark beating some of these last week and if she can bring that race again here, she shouldn't be beat. (4) DRY SILK FLOWERS was a decent second to the choice last time and this exacta could pay decently here with some others dropping in from the Blizzard series final. (3) COSETTE and (7) PROTECT BLUE CHIP are those that are exiting that stakes series and while they surely can contend, I'll try to beat them out of the exacta here.
Race 2
(4) MAROMA BEACH ships north following a public sale and he lands in a good spot to get off to a quick start in his new barn; top call. (6) POINTOMYGRANSON drops to a spot where he should make a big impact. He's the other one that I'll use in the Pick 5. (7) RAMBLINGAMBLINMAN paces strong kickers every week and he can sneak into the Tri here. (2) MAJOR HILL should get a good spot near the front and stick around to take a smaller share.
Race 3
In a race where it's hard to love anything, I'll give a slight nod to (5) SCOTTIES SPIRIT making her second start off the claim. (3) BEE IN CHARGE was so good last time when claimed, but now he goes for a low percentage barn. I'll use him in the Pick 5, but I wouldn't take a low win price. (6) AMITYVILLE LINDY was better last time when dropped in for this tag and he has a decent shot here if he can get in striking range early enough. (1) REVENUE AGENT should be prominent early, and I see him hanging on for a slice here.
Race 4
(4) FANCOURT steps up again but he is razor-sharp and could take this at a square price. (3) CONTINUAL HANOVER had a tightener now he drops a level and he should be right there vs. these. (1) REGAL SON is hard to leave out having won in a similar class two starts back. (2) BRODYS SCRAPPER was closing well last time and he merits a look for the exotics here.
Race 5
(9) EXHILARATED drops to a spot where she can put her good early speed to best use; top call. (5) OUTLAW FIREBALL and (6) P L HURRICANE also both drop from the top class and either could topple the choice with the right trip. I'll use all three in the multis. (2) AMERICAN SARA is sharp, and she tries hard every week; using underneath.
Race 6
(9) HEAD TURNING JAG should be tough here on the class drop and I expect Henry to leave hard from out there facing lesser. (7) ETRUSCAN HANOVER is always capable; his issue is with his gait. He can beat these if he stays flat, but what price would you take? (4) MEADOWBRANCH MEMO closes hard every week and the race shape should help him here; using. (1) ZEUS LIGHTNING should like starting from the inside here and hit the Super at a minimum.
Race 7
(1) OFFICER JONES has been sharp as a tack for weeks and he finally draws inside here so he should beat a few of these off the gate. He gets the nod. (4) VELOCITY DRIVEN drops, and many of his eight wins last year came when he got class relief. (3) CARTOON DADDY should go better starting from a much better post here. (2) SOME PLAYA made up a lot of ground last time and he should contend for at least a small share here.
Race 8
(3) TORRIN HANOVER deserves some better luck in terms of trip and he should be tough in here racing on or near the front. (1) AMERICAN VIRGIN should be ready to fire his best shot soon and the class relief will help; using. (2) ALEXAS JACKPOT has hit his best stride now. He's not out of this and he could provide some Pick 4 value. (5) SHADES OF BAY is always a contender it seems but often drifts to the far right in the lane which costs him.
Race 9
(2) SINTRA has returned to his best form and when he is on his game, he's simply too good for these; top call and Pick 4 single. (6) NOCTURNAL BLUE CHIP has also hit his best stride and he can complete the exacta again. (5) EASY LOVER HANOVER had his streak broken last time out, but he is still an obvious threat for a good piece of this. (1) TRACEUR HANOVER dropped and popped now he moves back up so he will likely be a fringe player here again.
Race 10
(1) HUMBOLDT just toyed with his foes last week and this class shouldn't be much tougher for him; call to repeat. (6) DRUNKONAPLANE closed well racing at a higher level last time. He is a logical exacta player here. (5) BETTOR OPS goes for Auciello who adds Lasix for this horse's North American debut. He's in with a shot here. (2) WEATHERLY is a good one to use underneath in Tris and Supers in this spot.
Race 11
(7) BIG BANG BOOM takes a big class plunge here and he is sure to be sent on a speed mission. (3) DREAMY FELLA raced decently at this class last week and he should be right in the mix again. (5) CLASSY DRAGON drops slightly which should get him a board finish here. (4) JAYDENS PLACE has been racing well and he should be closing again to take a slice. (2) DON MCWHITE retains McNair and he races best for him; consider for exotics.
