Race 1
(5) DOVUTO HANOVER took a while to find his best stride last week, but he gamely dug in to hold second in the stretch and now he faces easier coming up tagged here. There is plenty to like here and I'll single him in this Pick 5. (8) MR MACH JIMMY is usually solid in this class and he should be an exacta factor here. (1) PRINCE GIOVANNI steps up off the claim, but he should be in the mix here considering his current sharp form. (6) BROOKDALE SONNY is worth a look at a price for the exotics shipping in with good form.
Race 2
(6) WOODMERE CEILIDH picks up McNair here - on a night where he could win many with Roy, McClure, Henry and Drury all off for the night - and she moves inside. An aggressive try here wouldn't be a shock. (3) BEACHES BE CRAZY is in solid form and she's the one to beat as the likely chalk. (7) LADY GRANDE was decent in this class last week; using underneath. (4) WOODMERE FINESSE can close mildly again to finish on the fringes and perhaps hit the Super.
Race 3
(2) PAULY WALLY left poorly and just never got involved last week but he moves way inside here, and his price should be good. I'll stick with him. (5) EAST END takes a mighty class drop here and he's hard to leave out of the Pick 5. (6) PRINT MEDIA was a winner at a big price in December the last time he tried this class, so I'll toss him in the Pick 5, too. (4) RAMBLINGAMBLINMAN is still sharp, and if he can get within range by the 3/4, he's another in with a shot here.
Race 4
(7) OFFICER JONES was really flying late last week, but he just wasn't close enough to capitalize. He projects to beat at least a couple of these off the gate which gives him a good shot here. (8) HUMBOLDT stayed in last week and couldn't get involved as a result. He gets to drop again, and he should deliver a much better try. (1) CLASSIC PRO is fast enough to compete with these if he is right, and he may add some value to the multis here. (4) TYMAL PEACEMAKER was right there last time he raced in this class two starts back and he could get a good trip near the front here.
Race 5
(3) MAKE MINE MOCHA gets to drop coming off a sharp effort and she picks up McNair. She should be tough in here. (2) SLY ELEANOR N kicked home like she was shot out of a rocket last week and this is the one the choice will likely need to fend off late in the mile. (1) DOCS SAUSALITO should get a better start here leaving from the inside and that gives her a realistic chance at notching another upset. (4) OUTLAW IMAHOTVIXEN fits well here and she should be in the mix for a share.
Race 6
(4) HANKS TANK impressed winning a class lower last time and this step up doesn't look tough; call to repeat. (2) CAULFIELD is good enough to contend vs. these if he is ready coming off the shelf; using. (3) TIKI TAKA often contends at these levels and he should get a decent trip here; using underneath. (9) ADVERSITY will be passing many of these in the back 1/2 and he should at least be in the Super.
Race 7
In a race that seems to be overloaded with leavers, I'll give the nod to stout closer (1) ROCK THIS WAY to chase the leaders down late. (7) DEETZY is sharp and is also capable of a strong late rally; using. (6) FINE DIAMOND steps up off a rare win, but he is razor-sharp and could double up with the right trip. (8) TORRIN HANOVER is also very sharp and he could get the best trip of the leavers.
Race 8
(2) LEGAL POWER comes off an easy win in this class and he should be tough right back here. (3) HES GOT SWAGGER got picked off in the last stride last week but that was a strong effort and I'll use him the late Pick 4. (5) FOOT SOLDIER is in strong form and if he lands in the pocket leaving the gate, he could topple the two choices. (7) DARKEST SECRET has been firing some strong final quarters and he's in the mix here again.
Race 9
(7) ALWAYS A HOTSHOT was airborne late in the mile last week and he'll be a good price here facing some class droppers, so I'll side with him. (8) PHYSICALLYINCLINED is usually tough on the class drop and he should be forwardly placed early; using. (6) TRACEUR HANOVER is always dangerous on the class drop. I can't leave him out of this Pick 4. (9) ISITFRIDAYYET fits better here, but post is his enemy; small share predicted.
Race 10
(4) ALEXAS JACKPOT drops a level coming off a strong closing effort. He should get a more aggressive try here; top call. (7) MACHAL JORDAN is always right there at this level; using. (5) CINNABAR DRAGON blew up the tote board last time he raced in this class; beware. (3) FASHIONONTHEBEACH never misses the board it seems, and he should contend for at least a share here.
Race 11
(6) ACTING OUT was nailed in the final stride last week in a sharp effort. Now he gets McNair and the best post; top call. (3) DREAMY FELLA should contend at this level and he may get a more aggressive steer this time. (1) FREDDY BEAR also drops, and he is due to show more racing out of the Auciello barn. (10) CARTOON DADDY is hot but leaving from post 10 here probably dooms him to a smaller share only. (8) PAR INTENDED is a classy veteran who could sneak into the exotics here at a price.
