(6) K J ALISON clicked right away with driver Henry and she took a new life’s mark in the process; call to repeat. (4) MYSTIC SEELSTER paced a big mile in defeat and she should be the main threat here. (9) DREAMFAIR ZENFIRE has been on a hot streak but this field looks a bit tougher and she draws worst this time; small share predicted. (10) SOPHIES CAM is worth a look for the bottom of the Tri and Super picking up Roy to drive this time.
Race 2- NW 5 (F&M7) or $70,000 (F&M $87,500) LT
(1) PIKACHU HANOVER won’t pay $6.90 again like last week, but he should handle this group and continue his winning ways. (2) LEFKADA raced well but she was no match for the choice. She can round out the Exacta – which also will be offering a much lower price. (5) LIFETIME ROYALTY is capable of better and he may blast off the gate here. Give him a look for the exotics. (3) REFI was overbet last week vs. the choice but he should make the Tri or Super ticket here.
Race 3 – NW $3,000 L5 or $7,000 L10
In a race where it’s hard to love any of them (10) STRATOSPHERE gets the nod off the Auciello fresh claim angle. (1) MACHIN A TRICK should be right there at the wire if he can keep the leaders in his sights; using. (3) DO YA THINK faces considerably easier here and he should wake up with a better effort. (7) SHADES OF BAY’s best race crushes these, but his two Flamboro Downs starts were lackluster. Maybe he needs the big track; consider.
Race 4 – Horses who have raced for a purse less than $9,000 in one of last 3 starts. W/O $12,600 last 5 starts not eligible – Pick 4
(2) HES GOT SWAGGER has been on fire racing out of town and this isn’t the toughest spot; top call. (5) RACEMUP is in good form and he could get a great trip here racing in the choice’s pocket; using. (10) BUGSY MAGUIRE was in an impossible spot turning for home in London on Monday, but he still wasn’t beaten far. He has upset possibilities here. (4) SMOOTH MARA N is a good one to use on the bottom of the Tri and Super.
Race 5 – NW $11,000 L5 or $22,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $30,000
(2) BEACHIN LINDY tried to close into a 55 2/5 back 1/2 on a track rated one second slow and he did well, considering he was trying to bridge a large gap. Class and post relief make him the top contender here. (10) CHEAPSKATE HANOVER also drops, and this competition should be more in his wheelhouse; using. (7) JULERICA is racing too well to leave off Trifecta tickets. (1) ROCK THIS WAY should pass some of these and land in the Super.
Race 6 – NW $16,000 L5 or $38,600 L10 or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $45,000 – Late Pick-5
(4) FIXED IDEA races great at this level and he projects to get another good stalking trip here; call to repeat. (2) WESTSLUCKY TERROR will be up close early and he could be a pocket rocket down the lane; using. (6) DREAMFAIR B J was a good 2nd to the choice last time and he should be right there again. (7) AMERICAN VIRGIN gets McNair back here. Expect a more aggressive steer.
Race 7 – F&M NW $6,500 L5 or $13,000 L10
Contentious race here with several live chances. (2) VEYRON was unlucky in defeat last week as he made a sweeping move while the winner was scooting up the rail. He should be a good price here stepping up one class. (3) ON THE SLY goes back to trainer Budd who won with him two starts back. He is sharp and dangerous. (7) ESQUIRE is another fresh claim who is razor-sharp now and merits multi-race ticket consideration. (4) MORALLY FLEXIBLE raced okay last week and he gets hot diver McNair now; using underneath.
Race 8 – Preferred Handicap – Late Pick-4
(7) SINTRA is just too good for these right now, but don’t expect more than 40 cents on your dollar. (6) EASY LOVER HANOVER comes back quicker and gets McNair back; expect improvement. (1) POINTS NORTH – 2nd to the choice last week – should hit the ticket again. (2) NIRVANA SEELSTER is always a threat to take at least a slice because you know he is pointing to the front leaving the gate.
Race 9 – NW $16,000 L5 or $38,600 L10 or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $45,000
(7) PHYSICALLYINCLINED won in a similar class four starts back and this is the perfect spot for him to wake up; top call. (4) EVENWOOD SONOFAGUN races tough every week and he should be right there vs. these; using. (5) CLASSIC PRO couldn’t seal the deal after taking a breather last week. I’ll use him on the bottom here. (1) NICKLE BAG should be passing a few of these late; consider for the Tri and Super.
Race 10 – NW $5,300 L5 or $10,000 L10 – CAN AM PICK 4 LEG 1
(2) CINNABAR DRAGON gets his nose on the gate and gets McNair back here; slight nod in a wide-open race. (3) HEZA THRILL N drops and changes barns. He can wake up in this spot. (1) H P NAPOLEON was flying late last week, and he will be coming again. Consider for wider Can-Am Pick 4 tickets. (4) MAJOR HILL can be closer racing at this level; using underneath.
Race 11 – NW $8,100 or $16,500 LT – CAN AM PICK 4 – LEG 3
(4) ISITFRIDAYYET projects to get a nice stalking trip here following the speed that is expected to blast from the outside of the gate and he gets top call. (2) FREDDY BEAR goes back to trainer Boyd here and this horse has popped at big odds with no warning before. I’ll use him as a Pick 4 price hope. (1) CROFT BAY N is in with a chance here seeing as he should be laying a bit closer early. (9) IDEAL JET is capable of a big speed try at this level and you know price will be there. (6) KINNDER JACKSON should be passing horses and he can be a part of this High-5.
