Early Pick 4 – 7,8,10/3,8/4,9/1,2,4 = $36
Late Pick 4 – 3,6,8/2,3,8/1,5/4,9 = $36
Race 1 - NW5 or $71,000 ($91,000) LT - **GTD $50,000 Pick 5**
(6) VENUS DUHARAS is just too sharp right now to go against. She made a tremendous late move to win last week and she goes for her third straight in this class facing many of the same rivals. (1) TRIX AND STONES looked a winner until the choice went sailing by late. He is an Exacta factor here. (8) OKEANOS couldn't reach the game winner of the Harvest series final and he is an obvious player here, but the outermost post may lead to his undoing as an underlay. (7) OH SO PINE is racing well, and he should be in the hunt for a share again.
Race 2 - NW $16,000 L5 or $31,000 L10 or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $45,000
(5) TRACEUR HANOVER drops to a spot where he could dominate. Expect an aggressive Christoforou steer. (8) HERVEY HANOVER is sharp as a tack right now facing and beating elders and he is hard to leave off the Pick 5 ticket. (7) ROCKME ROLLME missed a month between starts and he was just short after providing perfect cover for the winner. He's not out of this. (1) REAL SURREAL will likely be closing for a small share in this spot.
Race 3 - 5YO and Younger NW3 or $53,000 LT
(4) THRILLING TIMES was a dominant winner in the slop last week and the step up isn't that tough here; call to repeat. (7) AREUKIDDINME CABBIE has been producing quick closing bursts but the late pace was too strong last time. he's in with a shot here. (1) FRIDAY NIGHT BLUES fits well here, and he adds Lasix, bit him missing six weeks gives pause; demand a price here. (3) R U TALKIN comes in from Flamboro in good form; consider for the exotics.
Race 4 - NW $5,000 L5 or $10,000 L10 - **GTD $50,000 Pick 4**
(7) CLIFFHANGER drops and he gets Roy back here. A speed blast is likely in this spot. (8) PLAY JET RAY raced much better - and more aggressively last week - and he too gets to drop in class here; using. (10) NOCTURNAL BLUE CHIP raced okay from the 10-hole last week, but the late pace was too strong. He could win this if he finds a live helmet to follow here. (1) UF BETTORS HANOVER cuts back after winning at 1 3/8 miles and he should be closing for a slice here.
Race 5 - NW $8,000 L5 or $16,000 L10 or NW $70,000 LT
(8) THE FIRST STEP was no match for the streaking Angers Bayama in the Harvest series final, but he should be tough here in a race where he should get a setup to promote his excellent late kick. (3) BRODYS SCRAPPER obviously fits here on the class drop but he needs to be careful not to get hooked in an early speed duel. (10) MACH CODE has been closing well every week and he is likely to get overlooked in this spot. Give him a price look for multi-race tickets.
Race 6 - 5YO and Younger NW3 or $53,000 LT
(9) LYONS PEGASUS missed a month due to sickness, broke while moving, and still almost won last week. He can get back on track here. (4) PRESTIGE SEELSTER raced well in tough company in the Harvest series and he should be a threat here. (3) ST LADS THRILLER tripped out to win last week, but he is in good form. I prefer to use him underneath in this spot. (9) WINDSUN RICKY should pass a few of these late and take a slice.
Race 7 - NW $22,000 L5 or $30,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $55,000 AE: 3YO
(4) B STONEY has been expertly-handled by McClure to win his last two, but he is razor sharp and in a good spot to get another winning trip. (2) CLASSIC PRO has raced decently in the top class and he should be heard from here. (1) NIRVANA SEELSTER is the one to catch every week and he'll get the job done one of these times; using. (3) BRAVE WORLD drops, and he should make the ticket at a minimum here.
Race 8 - NW $11,800 L5 or $22,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $30,000
(8) TORRIN HANOVER drops and he may impose his will on the front end here vs. a field that he should beat. (6) BETTOR OPS N raced well last week, and he could get the trip here; using. (3) CHEAPSKATE HANOVER trounced weaker last week but he took a new life's mark in the process and he's not out of this. (4) DRAGON TIME should be up on the pace early here and at this level he should stick around for a share.
Race 9 - Horses Who Have Raced for a Purse Less than $9,000 L3 (W/O $11,500 L5 Not Eligible)
(3) STOCK is a bit hidden here and getting Roy in the bike shows intent; upset special. (2) KEEP COMING had a brutal trip last week and he stayed game. He should be tough in here. (8) AMERICAN WIGGLE fits well here and he should get activated early; using. (9) OFFICER JONES was held up on the turn and in early stretch last week and it likely cost him a win. I can only use him underneath from this post.
Race 10 – PREFERRED
(5) EASY LOVER HANOVER was surprised by a third-quarter assault from the mare (1) KENDALL SEELSTER last week and the latter paced away to win. These two should battle it out again here and the price will go up on the former, so he gets a slight nod. (6) PHYSICALLYINCLINED has made close to $300,000 toughing it out every week this year and he is sure to be in the mix again. (2) EAST END should sit a good following trip here and complete the Tri or Super.
Race 11 – NW $3,000 L5 or $7,000 L10
(9) CINNABAR DRAGON got shuffled out of the race last week and while he draws widest here, if he makes front at the start, he could go all the way. (4) EVENWOOD SONOFAGUN was well-bet last week for his continental debut and he was raced hard only to tire late. He can improve here. (10) EUCHRED has put together a solid campaign in the Maritimes and he did have some success on this circuit last year. He could add some value to the late Pick 4. (7) CROFT BAY N drops and figures at this level but he is stuck on one win this year and post does him no favors here. (5) SOSSYS KING KONG should be closing again for a slice.
