(4) MODERN MASS' race in Gold company two starts back would be good enough to beat these if she can reproduce that effort; slight nod. (6) ALYVIA DEO should improve here getting away from stakes company; using. (1) TRINA comes in off a nice win but some of these may be tougher; small share predicted. (3) MCKEES ANGEL should be along for a slice in this spot.
Race 2 – ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLDS, GRASSROOTS STARTERS IN 2019, NW $9,000 LAST 5
(6) MOONSHINE KISSES had a brutal trip last time when racing against better. He projects to get a much better journey here and he gets top call. (2) BALDER SON's quick kickers in his last two starts indicate a better effort may be coming here; using. (1) LOUD SPLASH has the look of a contender here but he needs to be in range at the 3/4 pole. (5) MISSILE SEELSTER should blast for position and hang around to land in the Tri or Super.
Race 3 – NW 3 (FM 5) OR $55,000 LT
(2) SWAN BEFORE ALL has beaten most of these at least once recently and from a good post with Roy diving, he should prove tough to beat. (7) FINALLY FOUND AWAY is in solid form and is likely the one to hold off late. (3) EIGHTOCLOCKSTORM took curious tote action early and late last time and he was ready to produce a strong effort. He could step up here and repeat. (1) COOL MUSCLE is a good one to use in the 2-3-4 slots here.
Race 4 – CLM HDCP $10,000 to $15,0000 **GTD $50K Pick 4**
(6) ARSENAL SEELSTER drops into a claimer coming in off a decent qualifier. He looks priced to win here. (9) FAMILY SPORTS will likely be sent on a speed mission on the class drop. The question is: how long will he last? (4) TOXICITY brings some good form in from out of town and he's not out of this. (2) LISVINNIE should improve here with the drop back into a claimer; consider for the exotics.
Race 5 – NW6000 lifetime
Tough race with several ways you can go here. I'll side with the lightly-raced Ian Moore trainee (8) THE WILD CARD who should be right there racing in this company. (4) SIXFINGERFREDDIE was closing in late last time and he merits a multi-race look here. (1) WHY SO SERIOUS is the type that Roy sometimes trips out and wins with at a price; using. (5) CARD SWAP gets McClure and the kicker from his qualifier makes him an interesting price option here.
Race 6 – NW $6,000 L5 OR $17,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $20,000
(10) MONTALBANO BI was right there in this class two starts back and he has generally raced much better since adding trotting hopples. If he gets rolled to the front early, he may lead all the way. (9) ODDS ON AMETHYST is developing a deep closing style which makes him risky, but the post shouldn't matter here if he is dropping back anyway; using. (6) NOTHING BUT MUSCLE is an obvious good fit at this level and he could go off chalk; using in the Pick 4. (7) WHISKEY TAX is racing well, but more often than not he is best used underneath.
Race 7 – 2YO NW2 or $20,000 LT
(3) VELOCITY RUKKUS seems to lay over this NW2 group and he'll take beating at a short price here. (1) WELL ELL was solid last time and he can close to round out this Exacta. (7) DENALI SEELSTER can blast, get position then last for a share. (6) MAYHEM HANOVER should be good for a small share closing late.
Race 8 – 5YO & YOUNGER, NW 3 or $50,000 LIFETIME. AE: Grassroots Starters in 2019
(3) HERVEY HANOVER chased down a loose leader last time and in doing so he took the fastest mark on the page; call to repeat. (2) SUGARTOWN powered up off dead cover to bridge a big gap quickly and he could be the one to beat here. (4) FIXED IDEA was visually motoring late last time. He has upset possibilities here. (5) VELOCITY POPROCKS will likely be the one to catch again. I prefer to use him underneath here.
Race 9 – PREFERRED
It seems as though every time (3) MUSCLES FOR LIFE ships in to Mohawk, he wins; angle play at a price. (8) LINDY THE GREAT has been just that recently and he should be the one to catch again. (6) P L JILL was terrific in the Earl Rowe Memorial and Georgian, but she has missed some time since. She's always a threat, it seems. (7) DANCER HALL looks to bounce back here and he's capable if he brings his best race.
Race 10 – Ontario Sired 3 YEAR OLDS, Grassroots Starters in 2019, NW $18,000 LAST 5
(2) THE REGULATOR was live last week but he took a shuffle; slight nod in a contentious race. (1) PRICELESS BEACH has a much better shot here if he can avoid a first-up trip. (5) SPORTSLINE seems to be in peak form again. He's hard to leave out of the late Pick 4. (4) PRESTIGE SEELSTER should be closing for a slice. (10) OK KUDO would be rated higher if he drew better.
