Race 1
(4) PERKINS could take this group wire-to-wire if he minds his manners and replicates his August 28th qualifier; slight nod in a race where it looks like anything goes. (6) FOREVER FAV comes off two decent Grassroots tries, and he can contend at a good price here. (8) JOE MCDUDE finishes fast every week. If he is in striking range turning for home, he may roll right on by. (7) GRAND POOBAH is a good one to use underneath with two thirds in a row in Grassroots company.
Race 2
(6) JUDGE KEN looks like the fastest colt in here and he should prove tough to overhaul in this field. (4) AROUND TOWN made up a lot of ground in the final 1/4 last time and Roy may put him into action earlier this time. (5) ARCANUM is getting closer each start and he can take another slice here. (3) ROYAL ELITE can sit a trip near the front if he stays flat here.
Race 3
(3) RENEGADE MAGIC drops to a level where she should show her best and she gets top call. (4) P L JILL is unquestionably the class of the race, but her recent gait issues are troubling, and I won't take a low price. (2) LITTLE RED CHEV is as good as she gets right now, and she could beat the top two if some things go her way. (6) IONIA is fast enough to contend for at least a minor award here.
Race 4
(3) CENTURY FARROH lands in a good spot to break his maiden and Henry should provide an aggressive steer. (2) BALDER SON gets McNair back and he drove him well to kick off his career; using. (9) THISISHOWWEDOIT comes off two solid Grassroots tries and gets Roy back. He is in with a chance here despite the wide post. (6) DECEPTION SEELSTER's race two back put him in the mix here; consider for exotics.
Race 5
(1) VOTE FOR PEDRO was given a perfect steer to win last week, but I won't discount that a similar journey can be worked out here; slight nod. (3) BEHOLDER had a tough trip last time and she should be able to make the front here which is where she wants to be. (2) FOR A DREAMER has terrific speed but also gait issues. I'll use him in the multis but hope to knock him off. (8) ILLUSIONEESTA regularly uses these types of races as stakes preps, so she will likely be closing belatedly for a small slice.
Race 6
(6) WINDSONG PATRIOT was patiently driven to a distant 4th place finish in his debut, but he looked good in the final 1/16th and I think he has lots to offer here. (5) A ROYAL LINE was beaten by a very good one last time and he's likely the one to beat here. (1) COUSIN PETER was solid in his debut with Roy at the controls and he gets him back here; consider for exotics. (3) DARLINGTON HALL may last longer this time with that tightener out of the way. He has some appeal as a price play.
Race 7
(5) FREYA SEELSTER was a sharp winner last time and she has a strong chance to double up in this field with her main - if not only competition - coming from (1) SOFT WIND HANOVER. I'll use both in the Pick 4. (3) SHADOW SPARKS has been pacing decent final quarters and she should hit the ticket if she gets a bit better start here. (9) TWIN B TIPSTER is another capable of a strong final 1/4 who can close for a small piece of this.
Race 8
(6) SUPERLATIVE had her win streak broken last time, but no one was beating Sorceress Seelster that night. She can bounce back here. (7) LEVITATION has hit his best stride now and he should be a strong contender in this field. (5) DAYLON PHANTOM has a great record so far this year and his tactical speed puts him in the mix here. (2) MAJESTIC FIRE is capable, but intent is a concern in a non-stakes race based on history.
Race 9
(4) WEATHERLY comes out of a fast mile where he didn't get a check which allows him to drop to the bottom here. He can handle these. (7) SAGEBRUSH SID won when he last raced in this class and his 6th-place finish last week also gets him into this class; using. (6) MAJOR LEGACY is another dropper who is in with a shot here. (5) SPEEDLING should get a spot near the front early and he can stick around for a share.
Race 10
(4) LA MAGIC - a $30K Harrisburg buy - is a 1/2-brother to a couple of decent ones and this isn't a tough spot to start his career; top call. (7) TITAN M UP's race two back makes me think he is in with an upset chance here if he stays flat. (8) LARIAT SEELSTER comes off a good win where he made two moves. I'll use him in the late Pick 4, too. (3) PRICELESS RULER can contend here using his good gate speed.
Race 11
(4) OSBORNE SEELSTER shipped to Georgian for a win to qualify for this race. He can take these a long way on the engine. (8) CALVIN K looked like a winner in the stretch until a rival flew by them all from the back. He fits well here. (5) COMPANY MAN is a classy veteran who has beaten much better in the past. He's not out of this. (6) VINCENT VAN GO takes slices about 1/3 of the time and he can share here. (1) SENIOR MARKET should sit a trip near the front and he could better this placing with some luck.
