(7) BLUE CUPERTINO got a check in a Grand Circuit race most recently and this is a much better spot. Look for an aggressive try here. (2) SCAMP has a similar scenario and he should provide a threat to the choice here. (9) ALYVIA DEO is capable of a good effort here if she can stay flat this time and she will offer a big price; consider for the exotics. (3) WHOLESOME HANOVER has some improving form and he could sneak onto the Super here.
Race 2 - NW 5 (F&M 7) or $70,000 (F&M $87,500) LT AE: F&M NW $6,400 L5
(1) SMART AS HILL sticks out here after finishing third in the Canadian Trotting Classic final and he should be tough to beat in this spot. (5) COOL MUSCLE is in excellent form as seen by his rapid kickers, (4) NOTHING BUT MUSCLE is another who is in great shape who should be in position to capitalize if the choice falters. (6) DOTTIE went a long trip last time then faltered late. She is in with a chance to take a share here.
Race 3 - 2YO Fillies NW1 or $9,000 LT
(3) SOUND IDEA lays over this field and Christoforou should be sending her right down the road. (5) PERFECT STORM is full-sister to a 22-time winner that took a mark of 1:50 3/5 and she qualified well, but it may be asking a lot to expect her to beat the choice at first asking. (8) WATCH MY SPEED has some races showing that makes you think she can compete for a share here even starting from out there. (4) LYONS TILT HANOVER is worth a look making her debut being by a top Ontario sire.
Race 4 - NW $15,000 L5 or NW $28,000 L10. or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT. CLM. $40,000. **GTD $50K Pick 4**
(1) ST JAMES GATE lands in a spot that seems prime for a closer to capitalize late. I'll give him a slight nod in a tough race. (2) MAJOR MUSCLE was used up early last time and he paid the price late. He is another who could trip out then pounce late here. (6) FREE WILLY HANOVER drops to a better spot here, but there are several leavers signed on and I'm not sure the trip will work out for him. I wouldn't take a short price here. (5) DERF HANOVER has improving form and he can hit the ticket racing from close range.
Race 5 - CLM HDCP $18,000 to $25,000
(2) JULERICA is in peak form right now and he could get a perfect setup here with tons of speed lined up on the outside of the gate; top call. (3) CHEAPSKATE HANOVER just took a new life's mark at a price and he is another who may benefit from a projected rapid early pace; using. (10) RACEMUP is always hard to leave out, but from the 10-hole may be the great equalizer this time and he could be an underlay from out there. (9) ROCKIN WIZARD has been good since joining trainer Budd's barn and he is another in with a shot here in a contentious race.
Race 6 - NW $10,000 L5 or $21,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $30,000
(3) UNDERCOVER STRIKE won't fly under the radar this week, but, he comes off a powerful performance and he can double up vs. these. (7) VESUVIO BI couldn't repel the choice in the lane last week, but that was a good effort and he'll be a factor here again. (8) DIA MONDE came back ready to fire at Flamboro Downs, but this is tougher and I see him finishing on the edges this time. (4) KAMERAN HANOVER is always worth a look for use underneath.
Race 7 - F&M, NW $3,000 L5 or NW $7,000 L10
(1) SHEZAREALDEAL drops again into a spot where she should be boss; top call. (8) SUDDEN PASSING comes in with some sneaky good lines from Flamboro and she could pop here if she gets a decent trip. (2) ROUND THE BEACH is worth a look for then exotics dropping and getting post relief. (3) TAKEYOURBREATHAWAY is always a good one to use in the 3-4 slots at this level.
Race 8 - NW $26,000 L5 or $150,000 LIFETIME. AE: OPT. CLM. $60,000. AE: MARES.
This race should shape up as a battle of the class-droppers (4) RUN DIRECTOR and (2) DANCER HALL. I'll side with the former who had a rougher trip last time, but use both in the Pick 4. (1) SORTIE is improving each week it seems and he is worth a look for the exotics here. (3) B YOYO is always around the money at this level and he should get a piece of this.
Race 9 - NW7 (F&M8) or $120,000 (F&M $150,000)
(3) HEY LIVVY came with a furious late rush after breaking early last week and if the well-behaved Livvy shows up, she can win this. (1) STORMONT VENTNOR had a decent comeback effort and drawing inside here he is worth a look for the exotics. (5) ON THE ROPES has to be considered off his fast recent qualifier when he added trotting hopples. (4) CINDY LYNN can get good position early then stick around for a share.
Race 10 - NW $6,300 L5 or $13,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $20,000
(1) ODDS ON AMETHYST drops back to a level where he was racing well and if he can beat a few of these off the gate, he can beat these. (4) BUZZ should be forwardly-placed this time and that gives him a better chance here. (2) SO NOT COOL is also capable at this level and he should be closing fast late. (7) WHISKEY TAX is usually in the hunt at this level and he should be up close early; using underneath. (3) MR CONTESTANT steps up off a win but this isn't the toughest field and he should take at least a share.
