Race 1 – Two Year Olds - **$50K GTD Pick 5**
Coming off a third-place finish in a Grand Circuit race (1) HORSE TRADER should be formidable here, but keep in mind that most of this field is likely between stakes engagements. (8) LOVEDBYTHEMASSES has been good in every start and sure-gaited which counts for a lot in these races; Exactor factor. (6) JULA UPPERCUT also exits a Grand Circuit race and she’s worth a look here. (2) THREEFIFTYTWO has shown talent and greenness. If he stays trotting, he should be in the mix here.
Race 2 – 2 YO Fillies NW $9,500 LT
(9) FINAL DECISION was decent here in her first race over the track and the driver switch to Henry makes me think that it’s go time. (3) MIA CULPA finished ahead of the choice last time and she should be the main rival. (5) P L NELLY is capable of better and she gets a good post to work from here; using. (4) MS MACHINGBIRD raced better last time and if she blasts early again here, she may work out the trip to upset.
Race 3 – ONTARIO SIRES STAKES - GRASSROOTS - 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS
(2) NATIONAL SPORT raced decently in two Golds now he drops to Grassroots where he should get put into play early; top call. (1) WILSONS VINNER has improving form, but he had no shot vs. Grand Circuit foes last time. He can be right there this time. (7) DELIGHTFUL TERROR had his win streak snapped when he stepped into the Golds. This is a better spot for him and there should be a legit pace to chase; using. (4) SUNDOWN KID was 2nd in one of these races last time at Clinton and Henry should put him in position early to get a good following trip and take a share.
Race 4 – ONTARIO SIRES STAKES - GRASSROOTS - 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS – **GTD $50,000 Pick 4**
(10) QUICK TOUR has already overcome this post to win one of these races and he has won the last two Grassroots races that he has been in. Post should help boost his price; top call. (6) MISSION BAY woke up last start and he took a fast mark. He is the one to fear. (7) THE WILD CARD rode a soft first 1/2 to victory and these are tougher. I’ll use him underneath. (4) CHOIR MASTER is liable to wake up one of these weeks and he wouldn’t be the worst bomb to take a flyer on tonight.
Race 5 – ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLDS, NW $11,500 L5
(7) BALDER SON kept coming last week in a good effort and he will be tough here if he gets put into this race early enough. (5) THE REGULATOR is going to sit a pocket trip and pop one of these weeks; maybe tonight? (4) PRESTIGE SEELSTER will be coming late again, but most likely for a smaller share. (6) BATTLE STRONG is capable of better than he’s be showing recently; consider for the exotics.
Race 6 – 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES
This is a good spot for (3) WARAWEE VICKY to get back on track and she should go coast-to-coast in this spot. (1) SPIRIT OF DEO hasn’t been too far behind some good fillies in her past two starts and she will likely be the main threat here. (6) PRINCESSPARTYPANTS can threaten if she stays trotting. I’ll use her underneath here. (5) JULA CHAMPAGNE has the speed to contend here but she faces a tougher group and a smaller share is likely.
Race 7 – ONTARIO SIRES STAKES - GRASSROOTS - 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS
(7) MY LAND made a big move vs. Gold rivals and he almost sustained it to the wire. He should be tough in this easier spot. (3) TABLOID WRITER is sneaky in here and he could add some value to both Pick 4s. (4) DONTBLVMEJUSTWATCH has been right there in every race over this track but he loses driver Drury in this spot; your call. (1) DOC FANELLI should sit a good trip here and he could upset if everything shook his way trip-wise.
Race 8 – NW $16,500 L5 or $28,000 L10 AE: NW 7 RACES OPT CLM $40,000
(3) ALL WRAPPED UP’s only losses since late July were narrow defeats to two of the best sophomore colts in North America. He should be hard to beat he gets put into the race leaving the gate as he usually does. (2) O NARUTAC PERFETTO drops to a spot where he should improve. Look for him late. (8) HEY LIVVY impressed last week, flying home late to win after being forced to take a seat early. I won’t leave her out of this Pick 4. (5) SORTIE exits a quick mile and he should get involved here and stick around for a share.
Race 9 – ONTARIO SIRES STAKES - GRASSROOTS - 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS
(5) DAY DELIGHT jogged last time he raced in a Grassroots dash and Jamieson should be sending him here; top call. (2) MAYHEM HANOVER looks like the main threat coming off a sharp win last week; using. (3) CAPTIVATE HANOVER should leave for good position and ride a nice trip to a share here. (1) NIGHT DELIGHT raced okay for driver Roy at Clinton when post forced him out of position early. He’s worth a look at a price here.
Race 10 – 5 YO and Younger NW 3 or $50,000 LIFETIME. AE: Grassroots Starters in 2019
(4) LEGION SEELSTER continued his roll last week and while this spot is tougher, he should prevail if he can replicate the same speed, he produced last week. (1) DREAMFAIR MOXY is way over the earnings and wins conditions and only gets in here because he started in Grassroots raced. He should give the choice a tussle here. (7) PRICELESS BEACH is in a good spot here to close late for a share. (9) CLIFFHANGER has been solid for a while now and he may be winding up from the back and passing a few of these late. (5) PREMIER ROCKSTAR is always around the money, but this is a much tougher spot for him, and I’ll use him on the bottom of Supers and High-5s.
