(7) COOL CLIFFORD has been excellent in his last four starts and he should be able to clear these early using his good gate speed; top call in the opener. (4) ENCARNACION has a much better chance here moving to an inside post and he could trip out racing near the front; using. (3) ROYAL ELITE is in sharp form but he beat weaker last week. I wouldn't take a short price here. (2) ESA figures to come on late for another small share.
Race 2 - CLM HDCP $18,000 to $25,000
(7) RACEMUP is razor-sharp right now and the outer post should pose no issues for him; call to repeat. (6) BROOKLETSJUSTIFIED is worth a look here racing off the Pereira claim; using. (1) DEVILS PEAK qualified well for this and adding Lasix makes him interesting for the exotics. (2) ZEN DA BALLYKEEL is always around the money and he is a must-use in Tris and Supers.
Race 3 - NW $6,500 L5 or NW $13,000 L9 AE: OPT CLM $20,000
(1) MONTALBANO BI looked like a new horse scoring down with trotting hopples added and he carried that into the race to win easily. Stepping up one notch, he could repeat with the gait issues seemingly solved. (7) EYES COOL closed well vs. a long-gone winner and he is cycling to a top effort now; using. (8) MAJESTIC BRAYDEN was just behind Eyes Cool and he could add some value to the Tri here. (3) SETANTA will likely get overbet on the class drop. I prefer to use underneath.
Race 4 - CLM HDCP $12,000 to $15,000 - **GTD $50,000 Pick 4**
(3) TOMY TERROR is in peak form and Jamieson has been a good partner for him; a threepeat looms. (8) CROSS MY MIND goes for trainer Gallucci first time which is often a potent angle. Tab the tote for clues with this one. (7) DOVUTO HANOVER is always in the mix with his good speed and gameness, but I prefer to use him underneath here. (2) BETTORS MARK rarely misses the board and he should get a good following trip here. He does have some upset potential.
Race 5 - NW $6,500 L5 or $13,000 L9 AE: OPT CLM $20,000
(8) MR CONTESTANT faces much easier here and figures to wake up in this spot. (4) WHISKEY TAX also drops and he could trip out in the choice's pocket here; using. (9) VESUVIO BI has some exotics potential exiting some decent fields at Grand River. (7) ESQUIRE is another to consider using underneath and note that Hudon has driven him to wins here in the past.
Race 6 - 5YO and Younger NW3 or $55,000 LT AE: Ontario Sired Grassroots Starters in 2019
(3) HERVEY HANOVER was second to a repeat winner last time in a very good effort and he gets top call here. (5) VELOCITY POPROCKS steps up shooting for a fourth straight win and he's hard to fault but this field is much tougher than the one he just beat. (2) DREAMFAIR MOXY just took a new life's mark and he's the third one I'll use in the Pick 4 from this contentious field. (7) WHAT UP MO should be passing horses late again and he can better this placing if he starts his move earlier.
Race 7 - NW $15,000 L5 or $28,000 L10 or $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $40,000
(5) ALARM DETECTOR broke through in a big way to take his first 2019 win and he can repeat vs. these. (9) SORTIE should bring a good price starting from out there and coming off a break and I'll use him at a price. (4) QUADRANGLE has a great record this year and he could pounce on these late of the pace is honest; using. (6) ONLY FOR JUSTICE is a solid sophomore who should make the ticket if he stays flat.
Race 8 - Ontario Sired 3YO Fillies Grassroots Starters in 2019 NW $16,000 L5
In a race where it's hard to love any of them, (4) ARYA STARK gets my nod based on the way she finished off her most recent mile. (1) EVAS SPORT CZECH was second to a big chalk and she fits well here; using. (7) ROYALTY AGAIN and (5) CRANBERRY BRIE are two that I will use underneath in this spot.
Race 9 - NW $29,500 L5 or $150,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $60,000
(1) ROYAL WITCH powered her way to a strong win last time and if she maintains that form, this step up won't matter. (5) B YOYO was no match for the choice, but he should be an Exacta factor here. (3) O NARUTAC PERFETTO steps back up off a win and he will be coming late, but most likely it will be for a small share. (6) FREE WILLY HANOVER has 32 slices in his last 75 races and he is always a good one to use in Tris and Supers.
Race 10 - Ontario Sired 2YO NW $13,500 LT
(2) LOUS DELIGHT finishes fast every week. He just needs to be close at the 3/4 pole to have a big shot. (5) WHATAWAYTOGO should drop a few seconds on the big track here for team Jamieson; using. (3) MISSION BAY has been closing well for McClure and he is worth a Pick 4 look here. (9) GENTRY SEELSTER is a price horse that can blow up the exotics here with a decent trip. (8) SOCIAL THEORIES will be closing late. I'll use him on the bottom of Supers and High-5s.
