Race 1 – OSS Grassroots 3YO Colts and Geldings – **$50K GTD Pick 5**
(1) CT CONABRA has really turned things around racing in Grassroots company and he can repeat here. (4) P L MATT made up a ton of ground late with McClure driving for the first time and he returns to drive here. A better start puts him squarely in contention. (2) ISNT HE AN ANGEL is very sharp, and he could get a nice trip here. (5) GOLD EDITION is hinting at improving form and he can enter contention here.
Race 2 – CLM HDCP $12,000 to $15,000
(3) OH K MAN produced a relentless first-over rally last time when dropped into a claimer and off that solid winning effort he gets the call to repeat here. (6) DOVUTO HANOVER was dead game in defeat to the choice and he should be the one to catch again. (2) TOMY TERROR was a strong winner at the bottom claiming level and he could trip out here again, so I’ll toss him in the Pick 5. (4) CAMSKING is always around the money and he’s a good one to use underneath here.
Race 3 – OSS Grassroots 3YO Colts and Geldings
(2) SOUTHWIND FROST consistently shows up and produces solid performances and he’s the one to beat here. (3) A ROYAL LINE is capable of better than he showed last out; using. (5) PRICELESS RULER has improving lines and he should be a speed threat again, but I’ll use him underneath in this spot. (4) FITZGIBBONS faces tougher coming off a nice win, but note he almost won one of these Grassroots races on July 22nd.
Race 4 – 2YO Fillies NW $5,400 LT - **GTD $50K Pick 4**
(4) KIT showed big early speed vs. Gold company in her debut now she takes a huge class plunge. She should go right down the road here. (2) HIGHLAND SALSA also faces easier here and she should provide a challenge to the choice. (8) MIA CULPA is interesting having paced a 27 2/5 kicker last time; using underneath. (3) ANTHEM SEELSTER has hinted at improvement and she should get a piece of this.
Race 5 – NW $11,000 L5 or $22,500 L10 AE: OPT CLM $30,000
(10) O NARUTAC PERFETTO gets McClure back here and he may be able to orchestrate an upset from the worst post if there’s come action up front in the opening 3/4. (7) QUADRANGLE beat similar three starts back and he should be the one to fend off here. (5) BUZZ moves up off a predictable win and he could get brave if left alone on the engine for a while here. (8) HIGHLAND TOP HILL comes off a very sharp effort, but she is still stuck on one win this year; using underneath.
Race 6 – CLM HDCP $18,000 to $25,000
(3) STELIOS took a new life’s mark in his debut out of the Auciello barn and he gets the call to repeat off that effort. Simple math looking at these horses’ final quarters tells you that (8) LONE WOLF TERROR will be right there if he is within 5 lengths of the leader at the 3/4 pole. He’s hard to leave off the ticket on the class drop. (6) RACEMUP could get the same golden trip here that he got last week; using. (4) ZEN DA BALLYKEEL rarely misses the board, so use him in the 3-4 slots in this Super.
Race 7 – OSS Grassroots 3YO Colts and Geldings
(7) ESA made an eye-catching late move last week that sets him up perfectly for this Grassroots try; top call. (5) LIFETIME ROYALTY is only 1 for 17 lifetime but he is getting closer to his second win; using. (8) DEBT COLLECTOR gets a big driver change here and these are the kind that Roy will blast and try to last with. (10) ENCARNACION would be rated higher from a better post but from out there, I’ll sue him underneath.
Race 8 – CLM HDCP $8,000 to $10,000
(3) CAMS TUX was pacing so fast at the wire last week that he almost got out of gait. If he can get his rally going sooner here, he can beat these. (6) FLAHERTY should get a good trip racing on or near the lead here and he’s on my late Pick 4 ticket. (7) C L SPORTACTION is another who should be racing near the front who may trip out this time; using. (5) MATTS TUITION should be passing some of these late; consider for the bottom of Tris and Supers.
Race 9 – NW $16,000 L5 or $28,000 L10 or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $40,000
(6) LINDY THE GREAT faces tougher here but he looked good racing and winning while uncovered last week and his price should be better here; call to repeat. (4) TREASURED TEE should be the one to catch on the class drop here as Henry is sure to be pointing him for the front early. (3) FREE WILLY HANOVER fits well here and he’s another to consider using in this Pick 4. (2) KAMERAN HANOVER should sit a good following trip and take at least a small share.
Race 10 – NW $6,000 L5 or $13,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $20,000
(4) MAJESTIC BRAYDEN absolutely flew late in his last mile and the trainer enlists a catch driver now; top call. (5) ODDS ON AMETHYST drops and adds Lasix and he is an obvious threat on paper. (1) ALARM DETECTOR is racing okay and one of these times he will get tripped out and take an overdue win; maybe tonight? (2) EYES COOL is worth a look for the exotics on the class drop. (6) HEINEKEN SEELSTER beat easier last week. I prefer to use him underneath in this spot.
