Race 1
(7) BLONDE MAGIC has been on fire so far this season and while this is a tougher field, she should triple up if she behaves. (2) HIGHLAND DYNAMITE comes off a fast perfect-trip win where she paid $250 to win. If she can repeat that mile and trip, she will be a threat here. (8) WANNA HALL is obviously talented, but he's missed close to a month now; your call. (5) FLY FLY SELENA has raced well with Brown at the lines. She can take another share vs. these.
Race 2
(2) ROSELLA - a 1/2-sister to decent local pacer Fireball - was sharp and fast in her lone qualifier and she gets the nod here. (1) TWINSBURG made a significant move to win her qualifier and she should be a big threat in here. (8) QUEBEC BLUE CHIP - a $40K Harrisburg buy - is a 1/2-sister to $540K earner Nvestment Blue Chip and her only qualifier was also very good; using. (7) CRISP MANE looks best of the rest and she should benefit by having two qualifiers coming into this.
Race 3
(2) ALEXUS EH had a perfect tightener for this OSS Gold race and she drew well here; top call. (5) MAGICAL GLIDER has been good in every start and her potent closing kick puts her in the picture here. (8) KADABRA QUEEN draws poorly and she will likely be overbet based on reputation. I'll play to beat her in this spot. (3) SENORITA BONITA should sit a good trip and hang around for a slice.
Race 4
This race appears to set up for a closer, so I'll try (2) WEB CAM who gets Moreau and Roy for the first time here. (3) HOBOKEN HANOVER is another who will be coming late that will be on my multi-race tickets. (5) APHRO STAR surged late last time after staying in and bravening up and he should be a threat here stalking the leaders. (7) TOMY TERROR figures to battle early with the rival that lines up to his right and that would set the table for others to get up late in the mile.
Race 5
(8) WEATHERLY faces much easier here and he should beat these if he can work out a reasonable trip from out there. (6) UPGRADE VALLEY raced well for McClure last time and that pilot sticks here; using. (7) SENIOR K went a long trip last time and predictably tired. He can threaten here at a big price with a better trip. (1) SURPRISE HANOVER is likely to sit an inside trip and take a slice here.
Race 6
(3) SLIP INTO GLIDE is at the top of his game now and he can take another here and possibly attract a claim. (2) TIKI TAKA comes up tagged here and he'll probably take plenty of action. He's the other one that I'll use in the Pick 4. (1) STIRLING BOUDICA raced decently vs. the choice last time and she should share here. (9) MARQUIS VOLO figures to come late from far back to land on the edges.
Race 7
(1) CAPITANO ITALIANO - a $77K Lexington buy - has looked the part of a good colt in both qualifiers and he should be tough to beat here. (4) LUZIANA - a $12K Harrisburg purchase from the first crop of Sweet Lou - had good speed in his lone qualifier and he looks ready for action. (3) ARCANE SEELSTER and (9) BRONX SEELSTER are two others that figure here for the exotics.
Race 8
(4) MAGICAL LADY has been trotting :28 kickers on the end of her past two miles and if she can do that here, she should be a big threat and her price will be good; top call. (3) SORCERESS SEELTER set strong splits and drove away to an easy win last time. She must be caught here. (5) ILLUSIONEESTA needs to lay closer early here and if she does, she's a win threat. (2) STORMONT CHEF can close late for a share if she stays trotting.
Race 9
(4) ROCKIN RONNIE goes for a hot barn off the claim and gets McNair. Expect sharp improvement. (8) BRICKMAN gets a driver upgrade following a sharp try and is another racing off the claim here; using. (5) SURF REPORT was one of many closers passing tired leaders late last time. He should be closing for a smaller share here. (9) ONE WARRAWEE is interesting going for a tag here, but post does him no favors.
Race 10
In a wide-open race, I'll stab with (8) MOONWRITER, who returns to a trainer that campaigned him on this circuit in 2016 with some success. (3) KWICKY KWANZAA comes off two sharp efforts out of town and he fits here; using. (2) ROLLING ROCK wasn't far from pulling off a big shocker last week. Toss him on Pick 4 tickets here. (7) MUSSELSFRMBRUSSELS is classy and has been very good in his past two wins in Ottawa. He's not out of this. (4) WALTZKING HANOVER is one that takes a lot of slices but rarely wins; use underneath.
